would this t shirt be considered a "trophy" in his mind like criminals often take from the scene of the crime?

I’m more concerned with his missing purple lupus bracelet which apparently he never took off since she was diagnosed. If Shanann tore it off during a struggle, her dna would be all over it and they may have found that in the trash or something. Idk, it’s just strange. Wife goes missing and so does the bracelet you’ve been wearing for years in support of her illness?

I wondered if the reporter mentioned the shirt to try to get him to move his arm that he seemed to have splinted against his body. He did move his arm away...not sure if it was that interview and it didn't seem to be injured. No change in his facial expression when he moved it

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what the reporter was doing. The interview has gone on for quite a few minutes at that point and CW's right arm and shoulder have appeared almost frozen. When asked about the shirt, he drops both shoulders and opens his arms and both arms and shoulders appear to be functioning normally and without visible bruises or scratches.

Smart reporter!

My mistake i confused the 2 trips, thinking shirt came from the one she returned from at 2am. So embarassed.....
So, was the t shirt CW was wearing in the interview purchased during the last trip SW had made for her business or during the prior visit with her family? If it was the prior visit why did he get so flustered in interview?

Could you share the link esmerelda as some of the same interview you reference on line doesn't show the full interview as you are mentioning the end of the video. Many thanks.

i also found the question totally weird about the shirt who cares

Does any one else think he will possibly plead not guilty to all charges and be heavily involved in his trial? I just get that impression from him due to his arrogance.
Uggghhhh I never considered that but as soon as you mentioned it the whole screen lit up...uggghhh yes.

  • #726
I just watched it again. And he admits yeah she probably brought it back. WTH??? Seriously, she's missing but you were casual enough about it to put on new shirt in her suitcase? OMG

No, no.

She returned from NC on August 2. If she bought the Carolina Tar Heels shirt in NC and brought it back for him, he's had it since Aug 2.

The trip she just took was from AZ. This shirt wouldnt have been in her luggage from this trip.

shannon was; IIRC it lasted two years
correct. SW was married previously to an attorney in NC.
The home 'she' sold furnished in NC was built in 2009 probably while she was married. When this home sold, she was already in Co. with
CW and they leased a huge home (4044 sf, 6bedr/4ba.) in
Bromont, Co.

I keep thinking that if this was the case, she would not leave her kids with him at such a volatile time- just with the toxic environment and probable arguing and ugly scenes that would erupt. It would be much simpler to leave the kids in North Carolina and let them visit Dad after that initial breakup.

That may not be legal. In my state, and I assume all states, both parents have equal rights to the children unless and until a court says otherwise. Taking kids out of the state that would have jurisdiction over them in a custody case to interfere with them seeing the other parent while the parent who assumes they will be the residential parent files for divorce is risky. Often times a stunt like that will make the parent who would be the primary residential parent end up being the parent the kids visit, particularly if there is no police reports about violence, etc..

I am of the thought that the girls woke up to their Mom being killed and after she was dead, he killed them.

Or they didn't wake up to witness the fight and after Shanann was killed, C.W. went into their bedrooms and strangled them.

Was it ever hard to type those words.

I could absolutely be wrong but that's been my take on it.

i am coming from the angle of out of control accident.

i guess on a camera two kids who are deceased could look like sleeping

but killing them ahead of time does have risks - what if mommie wanted to kiss them

i think she was killed first after he lost it and then the kids ran in

their not saying how mom died makes me ponder stabbing ??

It's almost a Psycho moment, isn't it?

He's reminded of something nice she did for him and that's he's killed her. As if he's woken up to find his other personality did something to her.

So I’m reading up as much a I can on “family annhilators”; as I said I know a lot about SKs, mass shooters, pedophiles, etc, but know nothing about this classification of killer.

I’m posting any articles as I come across them for anyone who is interested.

(O/T:
Pike County massacre: Some killers are 'family annihilators,' former FBI agent says

“Well there's a term called 'family annihilators,' and this may well fit that profile," former FBI agent Brad Garrett said.

"It's not uncommon for a shooter like this to go from one house to another house to kill everyone that he thinks has harmed him in some form or fashion," he said.

The individual is typically a white male, Garrett said. And in rural areas, like Pike County, family has deep importantance. The killer, he said, may "decide for a number of reasons -- primarily financial and primarily loss of control of the family -- decide they're going to kill everyone. And many times -- most of the time -- kills themselves."“)

-So thinking about the above further, I wonder just how rare it is statistically that this “family annihilator” did not kill himself (yet).

Another link, hmmmmmmm:

“No one knows for sure why Bishop apparently killed his family, other than the obvious — to get rid of them and start a new life. Such killers are known as Family Annihilators.“
‘Family Annihilator’ evades justice for 42 years - Rocky Mount Telegram

(Thinking out loud, do these “FAs” (tired of typing it out everytime), ever cross over into other categories?)

Two points from FB;
1) I believe the arrest documents we were all expecting tomorrow were sealed on Friday for 90 days - see picture.

2) SM posted on a nut allergy support group about her MIL during a visit. -see picture.

*modsnip* / screenshots from fb groups have been removed

In terms of the arrest documents, is SW family also in the dark about the contents of those documents or will they be advised by LE and Prosecution of contents. In Canada, it is my understanding that often times the families are left in the dark about much of everything until trial.
In terms of the SM post regarding grandparent, I am certain that CW and his family would have seen that post by SW because her profile is set as public. I wonder if anything happened between SW and CW over that issue.

She would have returned from NC Aug 2, so I believe if she did bring that shirt rather than him buying on the internet, he's had that shirt for 10 days... he didnt just dig it out of her luggage from this trip to AZ last night

I thought she got back two days before her AZ trip, not on the 2nd?

I would be very surprised if he was hooking up with men. He seems to me to want to control his partner, I think he likes his females weak and dependent on him. I don’t see that happening with men.

i get a totally diff pic I get a want for a mommy figure which sounds like she was -- buying his clothes , lets say paying the bills putting the house together , deciding where they would live .

i thought that christmas picture where they all dressed identically that sure seemed like something that was her idea, she shopped for , and told him to put it on for the post online!

I cant imagine it being his idea.

I get her running the whole deal -- him more of follower -- her doing most of the talking , in the interview with their friends there was much more focus on stuff she said

my sense is he was pretty much told what to do when to do it and how to do it

if he really talks and it is released I think his point of view will be she ran everything.

Family Annihilator motive... financial and loss of control of family.
could fit here too.

This shirt ties the two of them together..... They married and lived together in NC. I would guess she bought it for him and brought it back from her long trip away - a peace offering? Is it a deliberate move to appear to show support or is it totally subconscious? He's seems surprised when the reporter asks, as if he didn't remember putting it on.

He's a big sports fan - Pittsburg Steelers. Why did he chose a NC shirt over a Steelers shirt?

Wow. Psycho, indeed

Not to mention that someone on WS noted that he wasn't wearing his wedding ring anymore which apparently he always wore as well. Maybe in his state of mind he discarded them in an act of defiance. I hope they are retrieved those items. Maybe this is what was also noticed by the friend of the family who contacted FBI. Perhaps that person also asked him about where his wedding ring and lupus band were and he reacted like he did in the news video whereby he got flustered. I am thinking something significant had to have alerted the family friend to contact the FBI.

Question, and sorry if this has been covered, Im sure it has, do we know exactly what promoted Shanann’s friend to call in a wellness check? Tia.

She knew (somehow - hasn't been stated specifically) that Shanann did not show up for her doctor's appointment, she texted and/or called with no response, went by the house and there was no answer at the door, but Shanann's car was in the driveway.

Sorry one more question, what is the exact distance from the home to the disposal location? Tia.

I don't think they've shared the exact disposal location yet.

I wonder if NU was supposed to meet Shanann at the doctor to hang out with the kids in the waiting room while she had her appointment. My OB had really strict policies on kids in the exam room.

I have a hunch this may be the case, but I don't think it involved the girls since they were supposed to start school that day.

It has been reported that she bought the NC home in 2009. The Latest: Searchers find bodies of 2 young Colorado girls

Also, JMO because I don't remember where I read it, but that she bought it by herself when she was 25 years old.

And who thinks of sports and show casing a team in their attire when their family is missing?

Isn’t Facebook data saved even if you delete your account? I wonder if you can subpoena that data.

I'm curious about this as well.
