When time came for Shan'anns turn came he couldn't put her in tank, but he could bury her nearby. That way he has her near the girls and in his mind it was the thing to do. I think he had emotional connections but let things get out of hand when he killed them.

How kind and loving of him to bury her in a shallow grave so she could be near her babies who had been dumped into nearby oil tanks. That's what I call real love.

No. The bedding found lying on the floor beside the bed as described in the affidavit and the subsequent time it's mentioned is August 14-16 -

On August 13,
at approximately 1340 hours Officer Coonrod was dispatched to 2825 Saratoga Trail on a check well-being (CWB) call.
......
At Officer Coonrod's request , Det Baumhover responded to the scene and arrived at approximately 2.35 pm.
.......
Upstairs Det Baumhover observed the bed in the master bedroom had been stripped of its bedding, which was lying on the floor. Officer Coonrod and Det Baumhover both checked the bedding for signs of foul play but found nothing.
......
August 14-16 - The sheet matched the pattern of several pillow cases and a top sheet recovered from the kitchen trash can from the Watt's residence earlier that day.

The actual day and time the pillow cases and top sheet found in the trash can that matched the fitted sheet found at the tank site isn't detailed in the affidavit, it was between August 14-16 - the two day investigation period LE were questioning CW. I don't know if a day and time was reported elsewhere.

Since we know that they found the sheet by the tanks on Wednesday, referencing earlier that day must be Wednesday imho

Thank you dixiegirl, so that makes it August 15. I'm a little confused too.

I think that the police knew CW was a killer, 10 minutes after they checked the house, if not sooner.

Well, he certainly wasn't off to a good start when he told Officer Coonrod that he woke up around 5:00 AM and then approx. 1 1/2 hours later he told Det. Baumhover that he was having the "emotional" discussion with SW at 4:00 AM. Big red flag straight away.

ETA to add 4:00 AM

No, not as well, they're the same sheets/pillowcases. The bedding found lying on the floor beside the bed as described in the affidavit and the subsequent time it's found in the trash can is mentioned as August 15 -

I just reread that. It doesn’t say that the sheets that were found in the trash were the same sheets that were found on the bedroom floor.

In the affidavit? You're right, it doesn't say they're the same. Were the sheets and pillowcases in the trash can from the girls bed? But the fitted sheet found at the tank site matched the sheet/pillowcases found in the trash can? Aren't they the sheets from the bed in the master bedroom? I'm really confused now.

I don’t know. Just says there was a lot of sheet activity going on. Where it says bedding was on the floor, it doesn’t mention sheets were a part of that bedding, either.

I haven't learned about the blankets for the girls. This makes what I was thanking. If a murder doesn't care about the people he or she murdered they just dump the bodies along the way. But by him putting them in the oil tanks shows he didn't want to dump his precious babies. So he wraps them in their blanket...then he might have put the blankets in as well. That way he wouldn't have to look at them.

Surely you jest!!!! he threw them away like they were garbage-- put his babies in an old tank for God's sake-- emotional connections? i don't think so.

According to HLN (AB) SW was making 14 or more videos a month but it went down to barely nothing after June (I think). The last video CW was in was the SanDiego trip and there was only one shot of him saying "what's going on." His tone of voice was not pleasant in my opinion. AB concludes there was something wrong between them at this point because she was not making as many videos. SW made no videos during her vacation to NC. Now that could have been she wanted to relax with the family or there was trouble with CW.
SW the devoted mom she was would put the needs of her children above everything if there was going to be a separation IMO
IDK maybe he wanted to leave but had no place to go so continued to play devoted dad and husband and charm SW all the while getting angrier and angrier
Interesting that Nico was still going to have his dads middle name Lee and SW looked forward to going home to CW and the girls so I don't think there were any big arguments
Per HLN AB the AP is cooperating completely with the police. It will be interesting what LE finds on the phones and computer.

Ahh ok. The bedding might have been a comforter/blanket/doona. I'm a little tired and slow too!

LOL Thank you Best of What's Around! I can now see my posts are all messed up in this thread and I don't know why  I apparently can't even figure out how to insert a single quote. It looks like I keep tagging Jennifer17 and I have no idea why.

I've sent you some instructions on how to insert a single quote. Go to your Inbox.

He may have thrown in the blankets into the oil tanks. Yet if he did such with baby blankets, imho (due to the diameter of the hole), he did it last to get rid of evidence. And I believe that if the blankets were in the tanks, that will be part of the autopsy reports as to being found with the girls. And her autopsy report would say what was found with her, for example, his purple bracelet that he used to wear. And I too wonder if her wedding ring was still on.

That was the "script" he was going to go with, so he stayed with it. Even though, it was completely disorganized. And then, the Mental Giant, decided to go with a story, about SW "killing" the children, so, of course, he had to kill her, and in the stress of the moment, threw the bodies in the trunk, dumped them at the work site, so he wouldn't be late to work, or leave dead bodies lying around while he was at work. Can't miss a day of work! Even if your wife kills your kids, and you kill her, you still have to get to work!

Right. No one has that kind of work ethic, except for CW!

I guess everyone's asthma has different triggers. I have terrible asthma. But have had many water gun fights and never had it trigger my asthma. Mine is triggered by smoke and dust. Not water in the face.

Watching the video, it didn't like like she was having any breathing problems during the water fight...

You have to wonder how she ever managed having her hair washed or playing in water at the beach.

The affidavit said it matched *several pillowcases* and * a* top sheet. Most twin sets do not have multiple pillowcases, so the Assumption has been made by many people that it was the master bedroom set. Which I agree with, at this time.

Anything is possible. They were extremely vague and unspecific in that affidavit.

I was assuming that on Wednesday they had a search warrant when they found the sheets in the house. But rereading the affidavit now, it says the search was done due to "Prior consent" of Chris. I'm now questioning whether they had an actual search warrant at the time which I had always assumed, or could that prior consent be from Monday, or did it have to be from Wednesday? But now I read the arrest affidavit that is warrantless in a different light at this very moment.

For the legal folks here, or folks who are very familiar with legal, that is very interesting because the Assumption was with his permission, like on the day they first went, they would not have gone into such depth and as to looking into stuff.

I wonder if that has any legal gray areas or implications?

You do know, don't you, that the opening where he put the toddlers was only 8" wide. They probably had their bodies twisted and bones may have been broken to force them into that tiny opening.

Yes, it's going to be very interesting to where they finally find his wedding ring, her wedding ring, his purple bracelet, the baby blankets, Etc. Where did he dispose of them all? Did they find them?

And what was removed from the house when about five people from his legal team went to the house and were photographed coming out with boxes? That was much before her family was allowed back into the house.
