I would love to have seen his face every time LE undid one of his many lies and showed him the evidence and still he kept lying.
Showed him the drone footage of her shallow grave.
Found her body.
Found the children in oil vats.
Still lying and denying the affair.
AP confirmed it.
And still lying about how the girls died.
How could anyone believe one word this cowardly lying person says?
He was caught in lies, over and over, and proven to be a liar. And will be again! I'm glad you referred to him as a "person" and not a man. He's isn't a man. IMHO!

I see an experiment taking place sometime in the near future. I think I know someone who has a very similar sectional sofa. :)

They said it was " found lodged" between sofa cushions. Doesn't that sound more like it was thrown or propelled there as opposed to hidden?

I have not seen the word "lodged" before. Is that from a news article? I'm reading from the affidavit which says:

Upstairs Det. Baumhover observed the bed in the master bedroom had been stripped of its bedding, which was lying on the floor. Officer Coonrod and Det. Baumhover both checked the bedding for signs of foul play but found nothing. In a loft area located between the bedrooms was Shanann's cell phone that Det. Baumhover later learned was found between the cushions of a sofa located in the loft area.

My background is in Psychology, Child Development, Special Education, and regular Ed. , and "baffled" is the same word I would use to describe it. I just can't understand. I worked with preschool age kids for many years, who had a variety of health issues, as they were Early Intervention students. Water play was the most looked forward to part of the day for the kids during summer school. I think I mentioned before, one summer the sprinkler broke and we used a hose to spray the kids. Obviously approved by administration, as the rules are very strict. The kids were so disappointed when the sprinkler broke that we wanted to come up with some way they could still have their "water play."
Someone mentioned that at least it wasn't a hose Shanann used. A squirt bottle is harmless, in my opinion. We had many kids ask to sprayed on their head, in their mouth, and everywhere. We never had a parent complain, in fact they had to give permission and none refused. It never occurred to me that spraying those kids could be considered hostile or abusive. I just don't see it. Your family was abducted on Monday but you spend the night at a friend's house on Tuesday?

Why?

Did LE force him to sleep somewhere else?

If so than that's strange.

My sometimes twisted logic:
  • LE observed bedding/sheets on bedroom floor at wellness check,
  • LE recovered fitted sheet at dump/tank site,
  • LE returned to house for warrant search and located bedding/sheets (with pattern matching fitted sheet) in the garbage bin.
I believe sheets in garbage were formerly on bedroom floor.
Just speculation, but I can’t imagine CW taking the time to pull 3 or more pillowcases off of 3 or more pillows after he murdered his family, before he buried them, unless there was a really good reason. I don’t know what it is, but I think there’s more to these sheets than we know about. Like maybe he did strangle her while her head was on a pillow, and maybe she expelled excess saliva, and maybe he saw that and threw the top sheet and pillowcases in the washer. And maybe LE noticed only blankets and coverlets on the floor because the sheet and pillowcases were in the washer. Maybe, once C.W. realized he’d lost the bottom sheet, he threw the rest of the set out, so he wouldn’t get caught, but didn’t realize the cops would go through his garbage.

Friendly reminder that you can put posters on "ignore" and their posts will not show up as you view threads on WS. It will lower the collective blood pressure on the thread and help keep us all on track

In addition to saliva, there could be blood from the ears and nose(s).

Yes.Chris Watts Case: What We Know I have read several that use the same term. Don't know if they are all just repeating a mistake?

Other bodily functions could have been expelled too. Thanks for a closer look at that bag of bedding @whisperOFwings .

Were pillows visible in the bag of bedding? Because body fluids could have leaked through those pillow cases.

Whoever started the emotional conversation at 4am was obviously very emotional and not tired at all.

They were wide awake and obviously didn't want the other 1 to sleep.

Now some speculated that SW may have noticed that CW may have previously had another woman in their bed.

But wouldn't she have noticed this before the 4am discussion.

So he just seems like the initial culprit that made sure he would be heard that night. Jmo

They well could have been taken. We have no idea what all they took out of there or all of the various items taken from the disposal site. I hate using that term but it seems to best describe what he did to the bodies.

She could have been killed at any time though - his "4 am emotional conversation" was meant to promote the idea of her suddenly walking out with the kids, when friends were looking for her.

Found it odd, too.
Most distraught husbands would stay at home at night, waiting and praying for their missing wives to show up with the children. During the day I'd expect him to help search teams and hand out flyers with his wife and toddler's photos.

But he was never distraught or even mildly worried and we now know why he was so delighted to be rid of them all. Preening even.

Wonder how long it will be before a decision is made re MSM request to unseal the autopsy reports?

Former family therapist with a background, and degrees, in early childhood education and social work here as well. I am also baffled. Whether professionally or based on personal opinions, we could go around and around and around about that spray bottle video until the trial. For every link and study that is included on here that backs up someone's opinion that the video was harmful, I can provide one (as well as an opinion) to show that it wasn't. I enjoy discussing things, but some of us are never going to agree on what these videos show and all it's going to do is get the thread shut down for being off topic.

That is one of the reasons the Thayer's called police the day after CW stayed at their home. They said they had thought of some ideas about how to find Shanann and the girls, and CW didn't seem interested. (paraphrasing)
