Yes. Here's the quote:

Chris Watts: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

I wonder where he got that word for his 3 year old?
Perhaps they went to see this movie? Rampage (2018 film) - Wikipedia

I'm not actually bothered by the name. I'm sure they both called her that. I'd bet Shanann came up with it. Sounds funny and like something she'd say. I think she described Cece as three wild little boys rolled up into one.

But the context here is creepy. Who the hell says that or uses that word after either he went on a rampage and destroyed his family, or his wife went on one and then he merrily joined in at the end? "Oh are we carrying on then? Right! Let me do you now!"

Geez.

So totally tone deaf. Along with the smiling, giggling, lack of crying, well rested and clear-eyed face and excitement about his shirt, it just shows a lack of normal humanness.

This guy really needs to find some expert willing to say he has a neurological disorder of some sort or some brain damage.

I agree and believe CW eventually became "over it;" detached from being a father and no longer wanting any part in that family lifestyle. In CW's world, and in the new lifestyle that he likely envisioned for himself, having children was a dealbreaker, IMO. Hence the lack of 911 call and the oil tanks. Jmo

P.S. In case you missed it, MintLeighf touched on this topic in a fairly recent post (quoted below), drawing an interesting correlation between CW and SP:
Thank you rainy nights. It's a motive, isn't it!

Great points! Yes, while SW often referred affectionately to CeCe as a "hot mess" - I cannot imagine her using that term if her child was missing. It was odd for him to mention how she is always yelling at people, etc. He meant it affectionately IMO because it was a way of describing her that he and his wife did in public to great results. What he doesn't "get" IMO is context, like you said. Just like the mentioning of missing telling his kids to eat dinner or seeing them watch some show. Such odd choices. Tone deaf. Goes to sociopathy IMO. I just had no idea when I first came to this site and posted that sociopaths could mask that well under everyday conditions (e.g. in the FB videos). I could have sworn he was "normal" and likely had empathy. But in the extreme circumstance of a family gone missing, where he arguably has no baseline to reference for how to act and what to say, he truly fails. Just my opinion, of course.

Just my own issue, but I’m still stuck on The lack of bruising or any kind of injuries on CW. There was that little red spot on his neck, but that’s it. Also, in the porch video, he was holding his arms close to his body, one in particular. Man, my eyes were glued to that one motionless arm because I was sure he injured it during the murders. Then at the end, he gestures with it, seemingly painlessly. So maybe it was just a defensive posture or “holding himself together”.

And this is my long-winded way of wondering if he had drugged the kids and Shanann, so he could kill them without resistance. Even if he ambushed shanann from behind, she would still struggle and inflict SOME kind of injury.

JMO

I suppose we have to wait for toxicology.

Maybe. But as others have said Scott Peterson had no injuries. Many murderers don't.

You would think though that at the least there would be nail marks on his hands.

Maybe her fake nails were too flexible.

I know poor Jon Benet Ramsey had her own nail marks on her own neck, where he hands dug in trying to peel the ligature off her neck.

Horrific.

Maybe he used a ligature. Creepy Chris Coleman did.

If that was the case they'd be grabbing at that rather than at him. It's instinct.

Definitely appears this was a surprise attack.

How the hell would see be murdering her kids, and he grabs her as she's fully conscious, both in a murderous rage, and he starts throttling her and she doesn't fight back? And cause some injury to his hands? Chest? Face? And wouldn't he have to tackle her? Where did he strangle her? On top of the bed? From behind?

How does his scenario make sense at all without showing evidence of a fight in that house? Stuff knocked over. Blood. Etc.?

This man was adept at putting on a mask. If it sounded like he wanted the baby, it could just as easily be an act, as it could be genuine happiness.

Judging by what he did, I don’t think he wanted that baby, or the rest of his family for that matter.
Maybe the idea of killing them all began with SW getting pregnant. Asks SW to have an abortion. SW says no way. He starts to hate Nico, then SW, then the hatred spreads to Bella and CeCe.

I think CW was very good at keeping secrets and pretending to be normal so he could remain in the camouflage of "Mr Nice-but-Average".
Perhaps some of his other secrets will come to light during the trial.
I wonder if his family or friends ever witnessed him lose his temper violently and unexpectedly in his younger years.
FA's appear to be incredibly selfish and insensitive to others' feelings, however they are hyper-sensitive about their own feelings and fragile egos.
MOO.

I think that had he asked SW to have an abortion, we will find out about that.

It doesn’t seem to jibe with his supposed excitement as to having another child, or with Shanann making such a big deal out of it.

This is way down the list of possibilities for me.

I think he just wanted to be free, and achieved that in the worst possible way. With the punishment he is all but certain to receive, it is ironic.

:(:(
If I had to guess her only thought was the girls and Nico. You really don't worry about yourself but very much please don't let the kids see this. Luckily you do pass out pretty quickly but everything does seem slow motion :( :(
The only comfort in all this, is I 100% believe SW is with her babies right now.

:(:( ❤️

Maybe he did. Alternatively, the murderers create poor alibis and their subconscious message is, "I hate her, it is all her fault".

It would be very interesting to compare the personalities of the victims. For example, SW appeared secure, sure of herself, resourceful. Laci P. seemed to be much in love with Scott, but also, soft, hard-working, feminine, trusting.

What else do we know about the victims?

What common mistake did they make?

What was their common vulnerability?

Laci was a perfectionist. Very tidy and organized. And a huge extrovert.

Rachel Entwistle was vivacious and outgoing.

The oil doesn’t stay in those tanks forever, and they are drained and cleaned.
I wonder how often that happens?
API Tank cleaning is highly regulated by local and federal agencies. One of the “mandatory” reasons for taking a tank out of service (drain and clean) is for internal inspection for corrosion (Intervals can vary from 5-20 years). Other reasons to drain would be for tank repair, or if changing product stored in the tank. For example, if you are switching from an unrefined product like crude oil to gasoline, you would need a full tank cleaning by a certified, professional firm to remove all residue and impurities. IMO, the crude oil tanks at CERVI where bodies were submerged could have gone a long time without notice.

To anyone who watched AB today - did they say whether the neighbor had any clue if CW or SW were aware his family had a camera at all? TIA.

  • #994
CW left home presumably with the bodies at 5:27AM so he had plenty of time to find a dump site whether it be Cervi or Hudson. We also can't judge CW's whereabouts because he has trouble with the truth, and CW delayed coming home until he knew that law enforcement was on their way to his house. Reportedly CW refused to come home when first requested to do so by NUA at about 12:10pm. MOO

That’s true- (the info I cited came from the affidavit) and yet just because he said that was where he went doesn’t mean it was the truth. Hopefully LE were able to find the actual truth out through Anadarko. Had he lied (not thinking they would check) they may have been able to zero in on his former whereabouts to find out if his claims conflicted with Anardarko’s records.

Yup, LP had the most adorable, mischievous smile I have ever seen and I think baby Connor would have looked just like her.
She deserved far better than that lousy, convicted killer SP.

SW deserved far better than CW who not only admitted murdering her and his unborn son, he then had the audacity to say she killed her own toddlers before he desecrated their little bodies.

Scott Peterson is evil, but CW is even worse by blaming his 4 month pregnant wife of murdering her OWN DAUGHTERS!
As a woman and a mommy that is one of the most evil, cruel, disgusting things anyone could accuse us of.

Edited to add a MOO.

If they did, I missed that.

It is an incredible break for LE that this guy repositioned it.

The question is if CW knew about the camera in the first place, and if he knew about the true orientation of it.

Not necessarily hand written notes in a pretty book. From what I gather SW was tech savvy and if she did have a personal journal I suspect she used a digital format. We know there were problems in their marriage and as far as I can tell she wasn't sharing that on SM. If she did journal, as I was suggesting, maybe that would be something she would have in her personal journal.
jmo
Good point. There are a lot of apps for journaling. Mine has its own pin number and isn't accessible without it. I certainly don't share any of it on SM, though, as that defeats the purpose of a private journal. Also it's great to use voice to text and some you can do a video diary and it's saved in the app not your phone's regular storage.

That would be great if there was something like that chronicling her life/their relationship, etc.

CW doesn't seem to be the confrontational type. I highly doubt he asked SW to get an abortion, even if he wanted her to.

I doubt he would ask her that because of their being Catholic (most Catholics I know are very pro-life). He probably skipped right to the idea that Shanann had to die and wasn't concerned with the baby. JMO.

Well, that would be ironic, wouldn't it? (given his current list of charges...)
