That is fair but what about all the friends they have that thought they were a great couple? All staged, too?

Again, I think behind closed doors things could have been different.

I think it would have taken a Herculean effort for him to show emotion there. The stakes couldn’t have been higher, and he still couldn’t do it.

He’s just not like most of us. Of course, that goes without saying.
Yep, you are correct

I don't believe SW ever thought CW was inferior. I think she praises him because she was dependent upon him during times she didn't feel well and she wanted him to know how much she appreciated him and needed him.
JMO

Well, to me he was inferior so perhaps I am reading into what she thought of him.

Not talking, no friends , chubby, ugly clothes.

Exactly. Years of training to look at children as real live people with their needs , boundaries.
If only CW had those same views. Or any views as his children as human beings. Not trash to be taken and dumped in huge, dark, oily metal tanks in the middle of nowhere while his/her family/friends searched frantically for them. IMO

The thread is open again. Please note the following:

Do NOT take other members' posts personally. I do not even begin to understand how so many posters think someone is talking about them personally, but it has derailed this thread. If someone disagrees with your point of view, but does so in a respectful way, it is not about you and it is not bullying.

Please continue to alert on posts that violate TOS. I'm sure I missed a number of posts while attempting to address the numerous alerts on this thread.

Stop discussing parenting styles and choices. If it continues, this thread will be shut down for a lot longer than one hour.

Finally, while we are allowing discussion of CW's story because it seems to be what he is going to present as his criminal defense, it is wise to remember that Shan'ann's family and friends may be reading here as well and Websleuths is a victim-friendly forum. Some of you may have heard the term "re-victimization" used by law enforcement or attorneys. When a victim's character, lifestyle, or choices of any kind are impugned, that is a form of re-victimization. Shan'ann and her children are not here to tell their story or to defend themselves.

Before you post anything, particularly if it is critical or judgmental of a victim, ask yourself if you would be comfortable making that statement to Shan'ann's family in person or to Bella and CeCe's grandparents (on either side of the family). Would you say to their face something that you are comfortable posting here anonymously? Because some of the family and friends of both Shan'ann and Chris are likely reading this thread and all of them (both sides of the family) have suffered unspeakable tragedy.

It has nothing to do with the squirting. It is her not respecting her children’s wishes. Such as the little one not wanting it. And there is a look . But if people don’t see it, then they don’t.

It doesn’t matter if she ws trying to give them $1000 a piece chocolates. The one child did not want it.

Not caring about cues or recognizing them.
CeCe was inside for the whole video, SW acknowledged that she did not like to be squirted and let her stay inside, the door was opened once to squirt her and I am not sure she even got wet. I don’t see the lack of cues or ignoring her wishes. Bella would move in for more whenever SW turned her attention to squirting the glass door.

Do we definitely know what the cause of death is for Cece, Bella, and SW? I know CW states that SW strangled the children and he strangled SW. Have we accepted that story? Is there any other verification that is definitely the cause of death?

If the roles were reversed what would you think of him or her?
I would think she was a pretty typical housewife or even working woman with children. Lots of women even today let their men take the lead in making major family decisions. Society likes to pretend we're all about equality but the reality is that's lip service. It's nice to say but when you look at the facts of most marriages, the patriarchy is alive and thriving.

Seriously, I love my independence but the majority of men are threatened by women who want to be their equal and even moreso by women who take charge. Whether it's in romantic relationships or in your career, some men resent the hell out of/dislike women in charge. Many women are willing to sacrifice that equality and independence in exchange for an unequal partnership that still mostly satisfies them. They do what works to keep the relationship going.

AFAIK the COD has not been released to the public.
MOO.

Agree, we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors but friends described them as always touching, hugging, hands always all over each other. That body language does not describe a troubled marriage. Per friend’s it was in the last few months when this body language changed.

Nope, waiting on the autopsy results to be released.

It actually makes more sense for him to be telling the truth here, atleast in regards to the method used to kill them.

This is contrary to my standard protocol of assuming that everything he says is a lie.

It’s going to be a long haul waiting for the trial (if there’s a trial).

Some of them might not have been to promote thrive. Either way, I didn't get that warm fuzzy feeling. JMO
I agree. IMO it was “the perfect storm” when they met. They filled each others needs at the time but that quickly faded. IMO it turned into some resentment or disappointment for both of them.

We will not know for sure until the autopsy report is released. All we have is CW's word.

AB 10/11/18
Very little today, most time spent focusing on other crimes.
1. Will C.W. reenact the killings as he remembers them in court? Crime journalist, Pat Lalama said if C.W. tries to reenact this story that would be like throwing fresh meat to a lion after that abominable display of deception when he gave those interviews, lie after lie, after lie. Unless his defenders think he’s 100% innocent and telling the truth all he would do is give the prosecution so much fodder, it would bury him. No way is this going to happen. Jodi Arias did a re-enactment at her trial. Didn’t turn out so well. When you lie and make up stories it doesn’t turn out so well. You can’t reenact it. Susan Wright’s Prosecutor dragged Wright’s marital bed into the courtroom, and the prosecutor got on the bed with a man who played the victim. The prosecutor straddled the man in that bed and acted out stabbing him. It was very effective, and it worked for the Prosecution.
2. Former police, Tom Morris Jr. explains, this case, the diabolical way CW got rid of the bodies, putting the two girls into an oil tank, burying his wife in a shallow grave 40 miles away, that also says to a jury that this man could have called the police when he first saw his wife strangling his children. He didn’t do that. Even if you reenact the situation, a jury is going to see through that. AB said, “But juries are unpredictable.”

Thank you Liltexans for putting up with us, cleaning up after us and for re-opening the thread. We will try to be better behaved so we don't get any time-outs or have to go to bed early (and when I say we, I mean me :D ).
I love that you have brought back the victim-friendly guidelines to this thread. It's what keeps me hanging around here. :)
