Going by the arrest affidavit; SW's shoes were found by the door. That tells me she entered the house and it was dark and quiet, so she removed her shoes. If CW had greeted her, why wouldn't she have set down the suitcase or handed it to him, so she could carry her shoes upstairs. She didn't leave things around. But, her hands were full and she was alone, so she removed and left the shoes by the door. If she took off the shoes to be quiet, she probably wasn't turning on many lights. She gets to the stairs and something makes her set down the suitcase. Again, that was not in her nature. When she reached the stairs did she decide to go into the kitchen for something, where she then left her purse? She was tired, didn't feel well, and probably wanted to see her children, so I would think she would have gone upstairs first. But why set down the suitcase? Did she see or hear something? She then goes up the stairs. She may have had the phone in one hand and the purse in the other when CW ambushed her (IMO) and the phone ended up in the cushions. When it was over, the phone was hidden, but the purse was in sight. At some point CW then sees, picks up, and carries the purse to the kitchen, maybe when he was moving bodies to the truck. He may have thought her phone was in the purse. He may have intended to take the purse with the bodies, but forgot. Like the sheet at the Anadarko site. I think that covers the facts. There is zero evidence that CW and/or SW were in counseling or had even talked to a counselor. Our legal expert Gitana1 has stated that it is about him and most likely has to do with psychological issues and experts. Her opinion is somewhere earlier in this thread.
I didn't say there was evidence, I said it is my opinion. There is zero evidence CW would be HIV positive but it being speculated in opinions. JMO

Correct. No evidence of HIV, marriage counseling, or of SW killing her babies.

Just speculation.

There may be more things to be added since these lists were made. MOO

TY for that list.

See, all this leads me again to that cut-off remark in the "shirt" interview: "She barely [let me]..." WHAT? Barely let him "explain" why the girls were dead or gone before screaming and trying to call 911? So he "had" to kill her, too??? JMO. I can't even let my mind go to her last moments.

She may have gone to the kitchen for a glass of water and/or to take medication, and taken her purse there because it contained her medication. Speculation.

The purse could be part of one of his nuggets of semi truth, he went downstairs to get her phone from her purse, to hide it. After he murdered them all.

Stomach contents has been mentioned a number of times in relation to the girls’ time of death. Unfortunately, it’s an inexact science and dependent on many things.

Knight’s Forensic Pathology:

The state of digestion, as opposed to the volume and exit of food from the stomach, is almost impossible to assess.

Variations in the type of food eaten make vast differences to the dissolution rate. Hard objects, such as nuts and seeds, resist digestion whereas soft carbohydrates can liquefy almost immediately. The size and dispersion of particles is crucial, including the amount of chewing and admixed saliva. The efficiency of the teeth and gastric acid are also of prime importance, as is the amount of liquid either in the original food or drunk during the meal. Fat and oil in the meal slow digestion and all these variables make it impossible to time the rate of digestion.

One of the most important factors in the forensic context is the effect of a physical or mental shock or stress during the digestion process as this can completely inhibit digestion. Even if one accepts an ‘average’ gastric transit time of an ‘average’ meal as being of the order of 2–3 hours, the assumption that death took place within this time can only be valid if the death was quite sudden and unexpected, with no stressful prior event.

A leading expert testified for the defence in the Pistorius trial. She said that underlying medical conditions, types of medication the person used , exercise and sleep routine can also delay gastric emptying.

Thanks for sharing this, it makes interesting reading. I hope they do manage to narrow down the timeframe of when they last ate and how many hours into digestion the girls food was, it could mean the difference between premeditation and just lashing out in the heat of the moment.

Excellent! Bravo! That's the list I was looking for and it confirms my opinion of what happened; he was waiting, maybe hiding, and ambushed her. She ended up face down in the cushions, his full weight on top of her, and she couldn't fight back. Her phone was in her hand and was lost in the cushions. Her purse may have been in her other hand and was dropped, or was left with the suitcase downstairs. CW picked up the purse, for some reason, and left it in the kitchen. I expanded on this in a recent post above. Thanks again. You're the best!

If she needed medication and water to take it, why walk all the way to the stairs with the suitcase first? And leaving the purse in the kitchen was out of character for her, she didn't leave things lying around.

it is too bad Ashleigh Banfield is gone from HLN

i guess HLN thinks re-runs of Ted Bundy and Jodi Arias are more appealing
to viewers and a lot cheaper to produce

HLN/Ashleigh Banfield was the only person who addressed crime cases

Yeah. It was an interesting business decision, one that is unfortunate for us.

They’re doing a whole revamp, and it won’t just be reruns.

She was incredibly neat. That doesn’t mean that she didn’t leave her purse downstairs overnight though.

It may have been common practice, or unique to the circumstances of that night, namely coming in very late from a business trip.

Yes, very good. I'll be interested to see COD, TOD, stomach contents, and what SW and the girls were wearing. If my theory is correct, SW and the girls were dressed in regular clothes, not PJs!

Perhaps. But, most women keep their purse close and have a place they put it. Not just laying around. There must have been things in the purse she would need to get ready for bed and/or in the morning. Doesn't make sense. My wife says it doesn't make sense. I'm not going to argue with my wife! LOL!

Haaaa. Fair enough then!

One thought leads to another;

From what CW said to NUA about separation, and his comments in the interviews, it would seem he planned to make it look like SW disappeared with the girls, or intruders took them (fall back scenario ). Therefore SW and the girls would be dressed. Clothes would have to be missing. So, I think there is a good chance the bodies were dressed and not in PJs. Now we wait to see.

I keep thinking Deeter probably features in what she did when she came in. Dogs can be sensitive to changes or upsets and he may have been unsettled.

He was so sloppy in just about everything that he did, that I think it’s entirely possible that he didn’t even think about that aspect, what they were wearing.

If those kids weren’t in their pajamas though, or whatever their usual bedclothes were, that would be both incredibly telling, and deeply disturbing.

Would it have been light at the time he arrived at the oil field?
