After hearing from N, the friend, who is obviously totally heartbroken, I have revised my scenario, as have some others. I previously thought he got all buff and pushed the baby because he was feeling insecure and in the shadows, hence all her cheerleading posts about/to him. Almost like she was convincing herself as well what a great guy he was. The vacation and/ or possible separation being her idea. Now, I think HE was the one who was done. I think he grew consumed with anger and jealousy and just loathed her. And yep, that type of guy, well, just because I don't want you, doesn't mean anyone else is going to have you either.

Has anyone thought perhaps there might be another explosion so he could truly disappear them and was twarted by her late plane? I am very curious as to what his long term plan was, too. Did he chicken out of suicide?

Either way, still waiting for his side piece. You know there's gotta be one.

I don't buy that he was a 'genuine' nice guy doting husband and
father. I think he faked a lot of this behavior in front of her
friends and cohorts. Like many women, SW was stuck in a marriage w 2 small children and another on the way. She had a lot invested in the marriage and many reasons to 'tolerate'
a less than ideal hubby. Pretty common, IMO.
He didn't suddenly snap. The rotten human being was always
there, he just kept it under wraps.

He did something very personal and reprehensible by strangling his own children with his own hands and intentionally disposing of them in the most obscene and horrendous way.

Her friend said they were having issues about three weeks ago. I bet she meant "for the past three weeks". My narcissistic ex would go on rampages for weeks on end where he was nasty and cold and verbally abusive.

It seems to go in cycles, nice, abusive, decent, a little abusive, really nasty, nice etc. At least my ex did that, kind of keeps you off balance.

I feel the same way and also think he was planning on staging a family abduction and had plans to disappear himself. I think he originally planned to place SW’s body in the oil tank with her girls. It’s highly unlikely they would have ever been located IMO.
His plans were foiled when he for whatever reason couldn’t get Shannan up into that well and the friend immediately got LE involved. I’m thinking he was planning on moving her body that Monday night but ran out of time.

Certain types of men don't make the move to disengage from one
relationship UNTIL they have the next one lined up.
Very common for this insecure type. They need the 'courage'
that they get from another romantic partner waiting in the wings.

That's such a good observation! Nickole specifically said that CW was not being as affectionate or as involved with the girls in the 3 weeks prior. Only way she would know such specifics was if SW had told her that, since they were out of town. Whether he was just being more distant before their trip or got really quiet/distant WHILE they were on their trip (not communicating as much, returning calls, etc.), apparently it was enough for SW to communicate her worries about a change in behavior to a friend.

Just saw another comment questioning why it’s being called “alledged confession” ( and apologize if this a repeat from previous posts — how does anyone keep up with them all? I want to read every post in order but fear CW will be having his first parole hearing by the time I’m done if I don’t skip ahead to catch up).

On Wednesday right before the 10:00 pmnews cycle Denver’s local ABC station broke with the news that CW confessed. The reporter apparantly has connections inside LE and he was told about the confession by an insider (or two). CBS News were still talking about where did Shanann go until the very end of the newscast when they announced the confession and said they’d confirmed the news w/two LE insiders. No idea when Fox/NBC first reported, but it was everywhere by morning.

To my knowledge, LE and prosecutors have never publically acknowledged a confession. We’ll find out when it’s unsealed but I don’t think prosecutors used a confession as grounds for charging him, and even Channel 7 (local ABC station) that originally broke the news has reverted to calling it an “alledged confession”.

I don’t think the inside LE sources were lying when they said CW confessed to police (yes, news reported it was given to LE —I know some have speculated is called alledged because he only confessed to his family). The fact the prosecutors and official statements make no mention of a confession has me worried perhaps they’re afraid the confession will get thrown out. Really worried! If the confession isn’t included in the sealed documents, hopefully the fact that he’s behind bars means they don’t need the confession to nail him.

Does anyone know if a confession is thrown out and part of the confession was telling where bodies were disposed, if discovery of the bodies and any evidence found on the bodies needs to be tossed out too? I’m new to this and don’t know rules of evidence, or whatever governs this sort of thing. Hoping those of you w/more experience can reassure me there’s no need to worry. But if there’s a chance he’s going to get off because confession was motivated by evidence that gets thrown out, and bodies, etc also can’t be used to prosecute because they were found as result of the thrown out confession I am going to be sick.

Approved contacts are people that you give permission to have access to and discuss your protected health information. Surely that person would be able to find out about a missed appointment.

This has been my experience as well: My specialty practice (20 sub specialists/surgeons) requires a detailed explanation of PHI/ HIPAA/ informed consent. At each visit we confirm that anyone in the room with the patient has been given written permission to be in the room by the patient. We update this list every visit. This list also gives explicit permission for those consented, to call on behalf of the patient and/or for our office to leave messages for the patient with those listed (Refills/confirmation of appointments/clarifications of post op instructions and so on).

Some have asked about whether FB/social media can be retrieved after the account has been deleted. In my personal experience: I had, at one time, deactivated my FB account and when I reactivated it, everything was still there. A year ago I deleted it. Before deleting it, I literally when through my activity feed and deleted every like/photo/tag/comment/etc. - I have no way of knowing if this still exists within the servers of FB. But would not be surprised if it does.

MOO- C.W. was angry about the trip before it. I see him as a resentful guy, upset about working while she is “playing”. Then being left with care of the house/yard/laundry/kids while she flies off for a fun weekend. (To be clear : NOTHING justifies or excuses violence or murder, just trying to find things that would anger him) he worked and held down the fort while she was away. Maybe he had side action going? Maybe she found out? Or maybe he was really angry of holding down that fort for 5 weeks, working all week, her leaving him home with the kids, and then being told of the flight delay.

Again MOO: he lost his after the party on Sunday, after the flight delay announcement. the poor children were killed before she got home. I think SW’s friend inadvertently derailed his planned, after work, staging of their “disappearance.”

I've seen conflicting info on several bits about this case. Somewhere I read that CW spent one week of the 6-week trip with them (at beginning or end, I've seen both, so unclear on when). unfortunately I cannot find that right now.

And this article states that she was home from the family vacation for one week and then left for a one-week business trip which she had just returned from early that morning:'
