A

And narcissists always blame someone else.
Exactly. Because they don’t have a problem...they’re always the victim.

Scary thing is, narcissistic people tend to rewrite their own history and it’s almost as if they really believe it happens. There is no cure for narcissism mostly because they can’t even see they have it. (Absolutely in no way am I making excuses for this jack wagon, they always start out knowing what they’re doing, they just tend to twist things as they go along to make it what they need it to be to play the victim).

Maybe the phone was found there because shanann was trying to call police/ambulance & he grabbed it from her & threw it? Or she collapsed in anguish and he strangled her in the loft area?
I definitely believe he killed the kids 1st to hurt her & she found them and was inconsolable.
I thought it was said on one of these threads by someone who had intimate knowledge of the case (or maybe it was Nikole on TV), SW's phone was found hidden behind a pillow.

I noticed one of the witnnsses lives on the same street. Perhaps, he heard something.
It could be the guy with the camera that caught him leaving in the morning.

JMO but I think people should stop asking for the name and pics of the suspected AP. We don’t know for a fact who she is, and even if we did, we have no reason to suspect she has anything to do with the murders other than a stupid comment from AB.

Who is AB?

Apparently she was locked out of the house when she got home - latch wouldn’t open (according to N) and had to phone CW to let her in. So I’m pretty sure he had it all planned given also that her flight was delayed.

Again, PREMEDITATION

He was laying in wait for her and latching the lock gave him control in case he fell asleep

This is on Nightline tonight.
New things:

The kids beds were NOT made. Not sure where all of us got that they were made

CW said to Nickole, “I just want to cry.” She looked at him and said, “Why aren’t you?” That’s the last time she spoke with him.

Interesting. If you can still catch it where you live, turn it on

There’s a respected body expert on who makes a lot of sense pointing out his rocking, holding himself, tight throat muscles, etc

Yes. And that was then also in the affidavit.

Trying to build this guys ego must have been a full time job for poor Shannan. Thus the incessant posts on SM about how wonderful he was. She must have been so sick of it she had to be away from him for 6 weeks in NC to get some relief. Maybe she hoped he would be gone when she got back. I don't get why they became pregnant in the midst of such turmoil. I wish she would have gotten counseling for herself. A good counselor on HER side would have validated her feelings and would have told her to stop kissing his behind, she could have shared her concerns about an affair and shared if there were any concerns for her safety.
If she had low self esteem, some people think a baby will keep their man around. She suspects he’s cheating, decides to try to get pregnant to keep him around. It never works, obviously, but it’s a thought process for very insecure people. I’m speculating, of course. Alternatively, CW suggests the pregnancy as a way to control SW. She’s successful, busy, healthy, happy, looking good. Get her pregnant and it slows her down, keeps her from straying. Again, just spit ballin.

If CW saw SW strangling the kids why didn 't he stop her instead of just watching what was supposedly going on via the baby monitor. It seems like he could have saved at least one of the girls but of course we all know this version is not what really happened.

Exactly and I would not be the least bit surprised if they also have handouts they give at those meetings of sample things to say on SM and tell them to feel free to copy and use them until they get the hang of it. It's part of the job of selling and especially recruiting others to sell which is how they really make their money.

They do. I have a friend who sells something similar and they literally give them manuals with little calendars for the month. Each page has a list of various statuses and posts that they might want to consider sharing on that day.

Yes and this is why I don’t think he even thought about trying to put her DNA on the kids. He had a plan to make it look like she ran off with the kids. And that plan didn’t go awry until Nicole called—which was after he’d put them in the oilfield.

Someone mentioned that he might have used the pillowcases as ligatures—I think it’s more likely that he used them to cover the girls’ faces as he did it with his hands.

And that's the reason he thinks his DNA is NOT on the children, but possibly hers might be.

According to a FB post she made, she was hesitant but he had "convinced her" to get pregnant again...
I am having trouble getting into FB tonight but tomorrow I will look at that post again

I've been following this case since day one and just hopped over here to see what all the sleuthers have found.
JMO
I think Shanann came home and found her kids were either not even home or already dead. The "emotional conversation" that the neighbours allegedly heard was likely her finding this out and then he killed her. Her flight being delayed set off his plans and then the fact she had a good enough friend to call in a welfare check so quickly really screwed up his timeline to clean and tidy up.
Sick.
I don't feel like an affair makes anyone more or less guilty. I do think it could have been part of his motivation. Though, fr0m what I've read her linked in said she was making around 80k with Thrive. In 2013 their income was about 149k and in 2014 their income was something like 94k. If she was making 80k that means he was likely feeling quite emasculated in not being the one to provide adequately for his family. If he was the one making that money in 2014 and she didn't have the income then obviously that's different. Would love to see their most recent tax docs if anyone has them!
I don't get the murder is better than divorce mentality, but it seems to happen far too often. In this case, he would likely have lost his home, custody of three children and would have been paying child support for all three kids plus alimony. Unfortunately, money is a huge motivator in many murders. IIRC they declared bankruptsy once already and were allegedly preparing to do so again.
All of this is MOO and speculation based on things I have tried to remember from when this case came out. I didn't expect to come here to post so I don't have any links, sorry! <modsnip: asking for PMs is against TOS>

She wasn’t making $80k - that’s her sales level. The figures I saw showed his salary around $65k and total income $90k so she was making around $25k. MLM doesn’t make you rich, his steady job and income was paying the bill. I suspect the $25k she made would have all been spent on the numerous Thrive trips (Thrive would likely only pay flights and accommodation) and the rest would have been credit cards.

Here's where I'm confused. How were they already at the site before he confessed. The drone had spotted the bedsheet before his confession. ?? Did the mistress help? Perhaps she came forward first?

Chris Watts case: What we learned from unsealed affidavit - CNN
His truck has GPS that is monitored by Anarko so that they know he is doing his job. It's possible that the tanks had sensors. According to Anarko's website, they say all tanks have sensors but I don't know if that's really true.

She got home at 2, he woke at 5 (or 4 depending on who he was speaking to at the moment) and they had the conversation about him leaving her, they cried out their emotions, he went downstairs, saw her killing the kids, ran upstairs enraged and killed her, and still managed to get them all in the truck to be dumped by 5:27am.

Stop it, liar.

I understand rage happens and certainly if one saw another person kill their kids, they could likely strike out and kill the killer, but I think they would call 911 and be found in a puddle of tears, clutching their dead children's bodies when LE arrived and screaming "she killed them!" I don't think they would hide the bodies of the children they loved so much in tanks of crude after such an incident.

This woman did not kill her kids because the husband she was ready to leave was leaving. This separation issue had been front and center for a while. From his reaction in the "we're pregnant again" video, I think the GF was already in picture. Apparently, he did have 'game'.

BTW, I really hate that there is a GF involved. Surely, she knew he was married - she worked with him. Still, I hope she knows she didn't cause this. He didn't kill them because of her.

I think he smothered them with pillows also because he wouldn't have to see their faces....dissociate himself from his own children

We have to remember he thought he had later that afternoon and evening to clean up the crime scene. Nicole screw it up for him YAY Nicole. He had to go to work because if he didn't and she went missing it would point right to him. So had to work his shift then home to do clean up. That BS story about him telling her he was to seperate was probably part of his plan. If she had not come home that night (which of course she wouldn't because she was dead) he could tell cops well I really wasn't surprised when she didn't come home because we were going to seperate and she went to a friends. I thought she probably stayed there for the night. That gives him even MORE time to clean up.

Yes, Nicole foiled his plans.
