Now THAT would be a BOMBSHELL!

LOL! I can see it now! She’d be shouting at Jean Casaras (aka Jinkasaurus) about TOT MOM!!!! and the POOF. Gone.

I used to watch that every night because I was certain that Nancy Grace would work herself into such a frenzy that she would literally spontaneously combust. I didn’t want to miss it.

I love me some Nancy Grace lol!! I don't agree with all of her views but her show sure was entertaining!! :)

I'm just really sad by this case. I seriously hope it wasn't planned to murder those poor sweet babies because I just can't fathom how that can be a thought in someone's head. I'm not saying that I'm all for an adult being murdered but in a way sometimes it's easier for us to handle over a child. It just hurts my heart.

So, to sum up, not completing all those things before going off to dispose of the bodies in no way automatically means lack of premeditation.

SBM

Well, in fact, by leaving her cell phone at the house, he was establishing part of his narrative and alibi. Cell phone and wifi records would show that she was home all day until late Monday night, when he planned to pack up some stuff in SW's suitcase, throw her purse and cellphone in the car, and drive to a location where it would be plausible that she took off or was abducted. (Bus station? Airport? Truck stop?)

Of course, he couldn't account for her lack of activity online on Monday. And he didn't count on snoopy friend to show up and demand to see SW.

(Reminds me of the old Scooby Doo shows, "...and I would've gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for those meddling kids!")

C.W. drove a truck owned by his employer, Anadarko. He did not have a car paid for by MLM. S.W. drove a Lexus with her “car allowance” deducted from her earnings. Perhaps that’s what you’re referring to.
I think we’ve established the couple was most probably in financial trouble. IMO this was a huge factor in what C.W. chose to do.

Negative. She said on her Instagram that they both had earned car allowances.

As you can see in this video, he smiles too. I think we’re putting too much into CW smile.
Of course we are putting too much into his little smiley face. In the end, all of this minutia will be worthless. Bottom line: Baby-killer, wife-killer will either spend life without parole in prison or will get death. No one will care about this DeadManWalking smiles or giggles or even his dalliance. He is as good as dead right now, right this very minute, this very instant. We know it. Christopher Watts knows it. We can talk this to infinity. Bottom line, CW is toast.

Do you think he got the 300 mlm allowance towards his own truck though? That was pictured being towed- is that one his or the comapny's? ( SW posts about his eligibility for his own car allowance.)

Made worse that it was their own father that should protect them at all costs and love them them unconditionally.

A $3000 per month repayment on a $400,000 house doesn’t add up. Unless they have seriously short home loans in the USA. A home loan in UK or Aus is generally over 25 or 30 years and for $400,000 the repayment would be under $2000 per month.

I think it depends on their prior credit. I know my mortgage is less then $2k but we have excellent credit and a low APR VA loan. Also, you have to factor in insurance's that are probably included in the mortgage. So, property taxes and homeowners insurance. It could possibly cause the cost to come close.

In America, mortgage interest rates are dependent on credit risk, and we don't know CW's credit history when he bought the house, other than he filed bankruptcy soon after.

Since the downpayment was less than 20% of the purchase price, he would have been required to obtain PMI (private mortgage insurance), which is an insurance policy designed to protect the lender. (It is really a scam, but required by law.)

And typically, the mortgage payment includes property taxes and property insurance. So yeah, I think it would be very easy for their payment to be $3,000 or more.

Whether it was premeditated or points to heat of the moment, either scenario CW killed the girls and SW.
That’s for a jury to decide.

DAdvocate, agreed, it was a nervous smile and he does not know he is doing it, but it doesn't mean he is innocent, it is the contrary. CW is nervous and smiling because he is suppressing emotions and memories of his crimes he committed towards his family.

I think what is more concerning than his smile is that he looks like he hasn’t a care in the world, but wants the world to believe his family is missing. Look at him. Guy looks cooler than the other side of a pillow. Hasn’t been crying, well rested. Neatly groomed.

You’re right. It looks brand new, which is more evidence that he did it IMO. Because why would they open a board game and take the pat out of the plastic wrapper it comes in, turn it inside out to look like a morgue sheet (we just bought one and ours came wrapped in clear plastic with the colored circles facing out), and then somehow re-fold it so perfectly. One would think a kid that age would open the box, find the spinner and colorful mat and lose interest in the doll.

I'd disagree on that. I had an image of a perfect fold at the top of the sheet in my head from seeing the pic on FB. Now the pic has been posted on here I don't think the sheet has been folded neatly at all.

I also think children can be a bit like cats. You know, you can buy a cat an expensive scratching post and remove the post from the box and the cat shows no interest in his expensive new toy but really wants that box. So two little children under five years old the twister mat becomes a blanket for the doll instead of its intended purpose, because they're playing with the doll and...it would easily make sense to a small child imho.

My mom was always confused how I often used lego bricks not to build things but to play families with .... the longer bricks represented mommy and daddy and the smaller bricks represented the children of varying ages. I was rubbish at building proper things with the lego, so the family representation was played with lego far more often than trying to build a house or something with the bricks. I am in no way claiming I was a 'normal' child any more than I would claim to be a 'normal' adult, but that's just an example of how a child's world looks different from how it looks to an adult, and how things that adults see as having particular and limited uses can have a lot more varied uses to a child...even something like a saucepan becoming a drum, or a child's play teacup filled with air is a real cup of tea...an adult would never see a real cup of tea in that teacup filled with air.

I don't think a morgue sheet would computer to a 3-yr old and a 4-year old. I hope not! I think it looks like a morgue layout to an adult, but I really doubt it would to a 3-yr old or 4-yr old.

3rd reason - he has a gas can in his car like most sensible people do (including myself) in case he runs out of gas! I really don’t think the gas can was part of anything except sensible planning in case of breakdown
If his truck was low on gas, why not just fill up the car in the garage in full privacy. Why carry the gas can if you were going to drive only 30 or 40 miles(?) to dump the bodies.

I don't know what to think about their financial situation, but I think that it is not just them. So many families live paycheck to paycheck, with large mortgages, leased cars, plethora of electronic devices.

Contrast, I grew up in a house with one bathroom, one old truck, we grew most of our food, and bought clothes at Goodwill. Eight people, one bedroom, and a loft, split boys and girls. You paid cash for something or you didn't need it.

They had an FHA loan which only requires them having to put 2.75% down meaning that their LTV (loan to value) was over 80% and anything over 80% requires PMI and in addition FHA requires you to include your taxes and your HOI. (I was a stock broker for 20 years and then ran a division of a mortgage company). All of that would easily add up to $3k

That is certainly possible.

DAdvocate said:
I think the financial stress could have led to his affair.

I think that he was just a cheating man who thought that he was hot stuff.

Agreed Jennifer, CW was simply a cheater and self absorbed with his own physicality and he had an opportunity at work to engage in an affair and he did. None of this has to do with financial stress, it had to do with deprived urges.

Colorado has only executed one person since the death penalty became legal (again) in 1977, so the overwhelming odds are life w/o parole.

On the other hand, he committed this crime in a very (!) conservative county, and they might just pursue the death penalty.
