Unless she didn't want to sell and preferred to pay it with child support money. I wouldn't make it easy for the prick. Why should the kids lose their house

The thing is he was the only one in the marriage that was responsible for paying the loan.

BBM - Bolded by me
SBM - Snipped by me

Used when a poster quotes someone else and bolds the part they are referring to or snips the part that isn't relevant to their reply

Ahhh good idea. Sorry for the ignorance and thanks

I didn't see anything in the article about specific times, the neighbor just said that the dog was typically a barker but then the dog was howling which was unusual, and this howling was during the time that they had disappeared. It said in the article that the neighbor called the police to do a wellness check on the dog. Which I had not heard before in any other media articles. I know people here on WS have said neighbors have heard yelling but honestly I have followed this case with a fine tooth comb and I don't see anything anywhere that neighbors talk about yelling or screaming.
What I do know for sure is that I have a little fur baby that is the sweetest little man but if anyone ever were to try to harm me or my child he would flip out. I suspect that's why Deiter (The Watt's dog) was howling like that. JMO

wow so 2 requests for LE wellness check in 12 hours - no wonder they were round fast in the afternoon.
( Last horrific case I followed on WS was one where the perp kills the dog ( a dachs coincidentally)as well as the partner. No prior DV - all for her money. )

This is truly a horrific case - that tiny dog could not help protect against him as much as it's instinct would have been to do so.

How anyone can say she was a poor mum after seeing her Instagram posts IDK.
No-one's perfect, we've all made some bad choices in the details of our lives along the way but to say she's a bad mum, stinks - and we see a lot of child neglect cases on WS.

I am so over the victim shaming that is on here right now. I have not seen another case on here where people behave this way. The ignore button for these users has become my best friend. Helps with my blood pressure. CW is indeed a liar. He has lied from day one. And he isn't even good at it. The victim shaming needs to stop.
Besides, this is a sleuthing forum, posts are only supposed to be relevant to solving a missing person/crime case.

It's a complete waste of everybody else's time to post opinions unless they're relevant to a specific aspect of the criminal case.

There's 127 million families out there, all with opinions about child rearing, I really hope they don't all sign in to tell us what they think! BORING!

Oh. I thought she was added shortly after the sale.

In that case it's even more reason to kill. She won't sell and I'll be stuck paying

Hi everyone, new here.

I keep thinking about the time necessary to open those bolts that keep the "manhole" (or whatever you call it) on the tank. Given the trouble I've had loosening the bolts that hold my tire on, to change it, I can't help but think that either the kids were killed earlier when he had time to open the bolts, or that the "burial" place was planned, and the bolts were opened earlier that week or before, maybe "someone" was just waiting for the best time, and he may have got away with it all except he didn't plan for climbing the ladder with an adult in a big hurry.

Is conjecture like this OK on this thread?
Welcome and I agree with you, he already had the bolts off or he had already disposed of the girls pre SW returning from AZ.
I think the neighbors cameras and other's around the area will come out in trial and we will find out most of the truth at that time. IMO

There was a natural gas explosion in Firestone, CO in April 2107 that killed two people.

That was traced to non-odorized natural gas that had leaked into the ground from an old buried pipe that was damaged during construction, but no one had known it was there. It's about 70 miles from the oil well he placed the bodies in, well CERVI 319.

Anadanko did shut down gas lines and wells for a while, but there is really nothing to link well CERVI 319 with that explosion and there is no reason to think CW was involved with any of that
I didn't ever think he was involved in it, but I thought it may have given him ideas.

Hi Everyone,

Chris Watts claims his wife Shanann killed their two children and in a rage he killed her.

At Websleuths we do our best to be fair to both sides. At times this fairness is very distasteful to me as the owner. However, we must allow for both scenarios to be discussed.

Until someone is found guilty or pleads guilty both scenarios will be allowed.

This does not mean that you can trash either person. You can give your opinions as long as the opinions are not a bunch of name calling.

You cannot state something as fact without a mainstream media link or law enforcement link. Please remember this rule. If we keep having to remove your posts you will be timed out.

Please do not discuss this topic on the thread. Start a conversation with me (also known as a private message) and ask you questions that way.

Thank you,
Tricia

Seems unusual the strong interest from the outset. Either NU told them something important or it was fear for her health.

Yes, it was in the afadavit. He eventually admitted it. She is a co-worker.

We do not know for sure that Shanann knew of the affair, only his word. His confession is essential to his story - she snapped when he said he wanted to split. Without that, he has no reason to say she snapped to the point of killing her children.

He was over eager to tell her friend as well the next day when they spoke. Why did he not say we had an argument last night and she is gone to a friend. Instead he tells her immediately they are splitting up.

I don't doubt there was an argument when she got back, a tired, pregnant, sick woman returning home from a trip was likely to be irritable but I am not convinced they argued about him leaving.

The co-worker in which he was having an affair .. her testimony either for the defense or prosecution will be very important to this case.

No need to apologize! We all had to ask (or secretly google it) at some point :)

Yes he added her to the title of the property. But He was the one paying the Mortgage. In fact directly after his named it says “a married man”.

Hi, european lawyer here. Trying to catch up with all the posts but there' a lot to read through, so please forgive me for asking something that was already answered.

My question would be about the effect oil has on the human body. Someone mentioned on an early thread that the oil has to be warm in order to keep it in a good fluid state. I have never encountered a case, where any victim was placed into an oil tank and this is really a crucial point, as of what kind of state the recovered little angels could have been, after four days?

I'm literally losing sleep over this case, the brutality of it, just unfathomable...

It would interfere with dna also.

Don't we often try to get people close to the crime to join us? Like family? Let's say SW's brother or mother signed up for an account here. With them already raw, how might they feel about their deceased loved one, a victim, being referred to as one of the worst mothers ever? There are lots of other sites out there that that are a little looser on what can be posted. They have many people complaining about SW and critisizing her videos, posts, etc. Some are sticking up for SW. Personally, I come to WS because it IS victim friendly.

The thing is he was the only one in the marriage that was responsible for paying the loan.

That's right. The only way she gets the house in a divorce is if she has enough income to qualify for a mortgage in her name only, and she would have to pay him for 1/2 of the accumulated appreciation on the house. That is very unlikely.

And I don't think there is any way he can afford to keep the house on his salary alone, when he is paying CS.

No, a divorce meant the house would be sold. SW would probably move back to NC. It was only a matter of time.
