We do not know for sure that Shanann knew of the affair, only his word. His confession is essential to his story - she snapped when he said he wanted to split. Without that, he has no reason to say she snapped to the point of killing her children.

He was over eager to tell her friend as well the next day when they spoke. Why did he not say we had an argument last night and she is gone to a friend. Instead he tells her immediately they are splitting up.

I don't doubt there was an argument when she got back, a tired, pregnant, sick woman returning home from a trip was likely to be irritable but I am not convinced they argued about him leaving.

I was responding to the poster who asked if we, the public, knew for sure that CW was having an affair. The answer is yes; we know because it is in the affadavit. As far as Shanann knowing, who knows.

Hi everyone, new here.

I keep thinking about the time necessary to open those bolts that keep the "manhole" (or whatever you call it) on the tank. Given the trouble I've had loosening the bolts that hold my tire on, to change it, I can't help but think that either the kids were killed earlier when he had time to open the bolts, or that the "burial" place was planned, and the bolts were opened earlier that week or before, maybe "someone" was just waiting for the best time, and he may have got away with it all except he didn't plan for climbing the ladder with an adult in a big hurry.

Is conjecture like this OK on this thread?

IMO, this photo indicates that Chris was planning the murders the week before, and perhaps he even "groomed" the girls to get into the killing position as a form of play, lying down covered by a blanket so they couldn't squirm away and he didn't have to see their faces.

It's a complete waste of everybody else's time to post opinions unless they're relevant to a specific aspect of the criminal case.

There's 127 million families out there, all with opinions about child rearing, I really hope they don't all sign in to tell us what they think! BORING!

It depends upon what she says about going to her friends. She may have said, in response to his statement about having a girlfriend, ' Fine, I'm going now and taking the girls. And you will never see them because we are moving back to NC anyway...'

Correct. I don't believe this photo means anything. If you go back and read SW comments after posting it, it's clear it was a joke.

As far as we know, no doll had its head removed. It is also worth noting than SW said the girls did this-CW doing it is only speculation.

I 100% agree with you. Quite frankly how SW dealt with her children during a hail storm on SM is not at all a concern to me. What is a concern is CW lying his tush off and throwing those babies into large tanks of crude oil and snuffing out his entire family then lying about it to LE & every news station that would listen to his cockamamie story (all the while smiling with a Cheshire grin as his babies are submerged in crude oil and his wife is buried in a shallow grave). Fairly certain he isn't getting the father of the year award this year. Just sayin'. MOO.

Sure it makes sense! My psychpath of an ex, asked for a divorce, then when he found out I was dating, months later, held a gun to my head. He was living with his new girlfriend, but still had to be in control of me.

I suspect that when LE interrogated him and confronted him with “we know you have a girlfriend” that he decided to make up the story about wanting a separation. I doubt he wanted a separation at all.

While there’s a 0.01% chance that his story is true, I don’t believe him at all.

SW seemed like motherhood was everything to her, besides Thrive. Her SM is so full of her kids, it’s almost extreme. I wonder if CW was feeling relegated to de minimis status in the household and resented being the least important one.

While I'm not the one who brought the SM videos into question, I'm simply stating that it's very possible that the defense which now has access to all of this could likely pick and choose certain videos to fit a narrative to help in their case.

Yep Yep and Yep even after my Ex remarried he still couldn't handle not controlling me.
That doesn't mean this was the case here at all. It's still a toss up of what exactly went down and we most likely will never know the entire truth.

Don't we often try to get people close to the crime to join us? Like family? Let's say SW's brother or mother signed up for an account here. With them already raw, how might they feel about their deceased loved one, a victim, being referred to as one of the worst mothers ever? There are lots of other sites out there that that are a little looser on what can be posted. They have many people complaining about SW and critisizing her videos, posts, etc. Some are sticking up for SW. Personally, I come to WS because it IS victim friendly.
