Nervous reactions come out in various ways in interviews. When I prepped people for media interviews in a previous job, I would ask them about various scenarios. The nervous ones would smile while talking about a serious topic. They wouldn't know they were smiling until I showed them the video in replay.

Were any of these people missing their pregnant wife and two daughters?

Ha! I said that way back when I first saw that video. He may as well have been holding a sign.

I'm got a pretty good record for recognizing liars (Susan Smith, Charles Stuart, etc.) but even a blind man could see CW was lying thru his teeth. moo

No mystery at all.

IMNSHO, Chris Watts is trying to use the most obviously made up alibi ever known to humankind.

Sometimes it is the most unbelievable that end up being true.

Am I the only one who thinks there was no discussion about separation that night? I just don’t believe him. I suspect that when LE interrogated him and confronted him with “we know you have a girlfriend” that he decided to make up the story about wanting a separation. I doubt he wanted a separation at all.

While there’s a 0.01% chance that his story is true, I don’t believe him at all.

SW seemed like motherhood was everything to her, besides Thrive. Her SM is so full of her kids, it’s almost extreme. I wonder if CW was feeling relegated to de minimis status in the household and resented being the least important one.

I agree with you. I think there was no "emotional conversation" at all. I think he started distancing himself weeks before to make the story of separation he planned to tell more believable, I think he picked a weekend SW would be out of town because obviously she wouldn't just stand by and let him strangle her babies, I think SW was killed shortly after arriving home and he told his planned story of an "emotional conversation" (an argument would seem too violent) and tried to drop hints she left him.

Thankfully he seemed to only plan up to and committing the murders, and disposing the bodies with no thought to what came after that. He was so confident in himself he didn't think anyone would want to know WHICH friends house she claimed to be at. He didn't think people would wonder why he went to work so early that day. He thought he was so believable giving his TV interview. He didn't think LE would find his work truck parked blocks away.

He sure as heck didn't plan on a late flight or a friend knocking on the door at noon.

All moo

The point is you have no way of controlling a nervous reaction. You don't know you're doing it.

Really sorry to hear this Juniper. Horrific.

Interestingly Dr Jack ( previous link) says there's a special term for that, it is called Dupers Delight

Much appreciated Cotton, we still have many unanswered questions and went through a ton of victim blaming and shaming by the killers family and people that had no clue, it was horrific indeed...

Dr Jack is spot on...do you know if he analyzed the denver 7 interview too? I would be curious if he picked up on what I did... the link you posted was CW's Fox interview, which is equally as disturbing, CW is sure proud of the Tarheels shirt though, isn't he? Ugh. So unsettling.

Right... but still he has already confessed to a killing of his wife and unborn son. That is starting off the process as a known killer.

Right around that 1 minute mark of that denver 7 interview...I knew. It gives me chills. That grin. It is the same grin of the man that killed my Aunt and Uncle, their murderer was their son in law, and he was in our family for 8 years...same sick grin. Absolutely disgusting. Lied just like CW does, literally the same grin.
I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt and Uncle. May they rest in peace.

Oh I thought this was of the D7 interview - it's the only thread of his which I have seen/ at his timeline

I believe if his story is true, having just seen your two daughters killed, his rage would have been with her, likely not even remembering at that moment that she was pregnant.

New member here...still learning the rules. Thanks for your patience.

I went to watch his interview with the reporter and I had audio issues. It may sound weird but I decided to watch the full thing without audio. wow!
You would NEVER guess he was talking about his missing family. Without audio, it looks like he is talking about anything; HOA, sports, home prices in CO....anything except his missing family.
Creepy.

JMO.... a lupus diagnosis takes awhile...My daughter has gone down this road as she has 9 of the symptoms, yet doesn't have lupus....you get tested a lot and she has seen over 10 specialists. One of the symptoms is neuropathy in hands and feet. If SW had this as apart of her lupus, she might not have had enough strength in her hands to manually strangle anyone. If something else was used, then that is a different story. Since we do have HIPPA laws in the US, her doctor would have that knowledge and it could be found out. Here is a website that discusses some of the symptoms of the disease...https://www.foundationforpn.org/wha...oimmune-disease/systemic-lupus-erythematosus/ MOO except for the website

that grin did it for me: right then and there i knew he did something terrible- and he was obviously pleased with himself!

I wonder if the defense attorney is wondering: “Really, this is what you’re going with? This is the best excuse you could back yourself into? This is what I have to work with?”

That said, what other excuse could he possibly have come up with?

It’s so outrageous.

I'm sure the police interrogation put unbearable pressure on him. They let him know that his story didn't add up, that they knew he was lying, that they knew he had killed his family, and then they guilted him into telling where the bodies were. "You are just going to let your sweet daughters lie in a ditch somewhere? Tell us where they are. I'll tell the judge you cooperated with the investigation."
Thanks! That’s my point. I’m intrigued whether he was guilted into it, or still totally concerned with himself. BBM
