And at that point maybe thought he'd have time to go back to the scene. He had no idea it was all about to blow up in his face. If not for NU, when would he have reported Shanann and the girls missing? What other options do you think he may have had at that point when he had already driven almost an hour with at least one dead body, possibly three, and had to be at work that morning?
Me too. We have former friends who went down a MLM path. I was a bookkeeper for umpteen years and I can never figure out the pay structures. Very mysterious and not at all straightforward.
IMO yes. I think they were stretched thin.Is it safe to assume that Shannan was making little, if any money from Thrive?
Time constraints and he obviously thought that people were going to buy his story that she had just up and left. I think that he was planning on covering all those loose ends later. But a shallow grave? Plus, wouldn’t he be worried about the decomposition odor? It doesn’t seem consistent to me.
He could push reporting it until long after work ended that night. And at that point maybe thought he'd have time to go back to the scene. He had no idea it was all about to blow up in his face. If not for NU, when would he have reported Shanann and the girls missing?
Is it safe to assume that Shannan was making little, if any money from Thrive? I apologize if this has already been asked and answered.

Absolutely and days later look just fine, doesn't appear to lack sleep, crying NOTHINGMany here have been in abusive relationships. We can guess what her life was like.
They can go off with little or no provocation, but have an extremely 'good guy' personna to the rest of the world. I noticed her trying to uplift him with her bragging about him. Yeah, those guys want building up. I think in this case he's more of a psychopath than a narcissist because he had two very separate personalities. And it's a whole different breed that can strangle children.
If she made her car bonus/allowance/stiped ten out of 12 months last year so she must have doing okay. Unless she was putting her own money in to meet her levels or quota or goal, whatever it's called. From what I understand, people start getting into trouble when they start buying their own stuff to meet their quota. Is it safe to assume that Shannan was making little, if any money from Thrive? Thank you for clarification. They've been referred to as "neighbors" in a couple headlines, IIRC.He was staying at Nick & Amanda Thayers house. And they are not neighbors they are just friends of the Watts. This is their interview...
I think later that day he would have reported them missing, after he staged the home, maybe a broken window, open door things thrown all around the house. And at that point maybe thought he'd have time to go back to the scene. Plus, with plane tickets and the kids in school and day-to-day life, they wouldn't be able to go for every holiday. They may have only seen their families in the summer. It's not a super big deal to me. Besides, aren't vacations better without your spouse? Or, is that just me?Added to the (long) list of things that stand out to me:
If you’re going to take a sheet to transport/wrap a body, the top sheet is the easiest to grab. If the bottom sheet was used, I would expect there to be a specific reason for that (body was already on the sheet, or the sheet was in the linen closet and was the first thing available). I *believe* the matching top sheet and pillow cases were found in the trash...which (to me) means the fitted sheet was with the body.
It’s also interesting - this case is a prime example of “reasonable minds may differ”, where different people draw very different conclusions based upon the same facts.
I didn’t think twice about the doll covered up with the twister sheet... my kids would easily have done something like that when they were younger.
Same with the 6 week visit to NC... we have had many summers where my kids visited family for extended periods of time. They used to stay in Sweden with their grandmother for 6 weeks - I would stay for 2 or 3, but if I’d had a more flexible job I would have stayed for much longer. Not because I was trying to get away from something at home - simply because when I traveled with little kids, getting there (and paying for the tickets) was such a process that we just stayed as long as we could. My husband would sometimes come with us for a week or two - but sometimes not. Unfortunately, work schedules and demands don’t always allow for that luxury.
Good question. I'd say after he destroyed all the evidence, but I think that would be giving him too much credit. And at that point maybe thought he'd have time to go back to the scene. He had no idea it was all about to blow up in his face. If not for NU, when would he have reported Shanann and the girls missing?
Plus, from all appearances, it looks like the products worked on Shannan and Chris. I can see where they would be an asset to the company and may have received bonuses, but I don’t know how that works, and I can’t imagine it being that much or near enough to cover their monthly expenses.I don't know that we know that. These MLMs have to have some people who do actually make money, so they can hold them up as persons to emulate. I have a friend who sells those purses, and she seems to make a good income.
