No one really knows who took the photo only that SW posted it and I am not sure what the caption said verbatim, something about is this an indication of what is to come...It is beyond weird...

Agreed!! But I can tell she adored those babies. The photos - several - where they are just snuggling into her body, those show everything we need to know about her love for them.

By all accounts of every last person who knew her she was an exemplary mother. And she didn't kill her babies.

Hi, this is my first post. I've been lurking here since this terrible outcome came for the missing mom and girls. Someone else asked, and I have been wondering too; do have any information if CW disposed of the girls in the oil tanks inside a duffle-type bag, or without one?All I have seen is that he was seen putting "bags" into the truck. It makes me sick to even think about it, but I am wondering if being in bags will help preserve any DNA evidence that may still be there.

Do we know, or can we guess, when autopsy results may be released?

I don't think this is becoming more prevalent, but I think with the 24-hour, global news cycle, and increased awareness of domestic violence as a societal problem, not just a "private, family tragedy" we are hearing more about it. Some posters have spoken about Jeffrey MacDonald; that was what, the 60s or 70s? But that would be a very interesting thing to compile statistics on and find out for sure.

I looked over a page called 5 types of family

He was in deep CYA mode at that point. The thing he doesn't want anyone to know is that he wanted his family dead. Having a mistress shows that he wanted something other than his family, so he needs to hide that info as long as possible.

That's why I say this is a very simple crime. If you just go with the idea that he wanted his family dead so he could have a happy life, everything we know so far fits that exactly.

He knows that wanting his family dead so he could have a nice life is completely horrific and so far he has done everything in his power to cover up that core motivation, and I believe he will continue to deny it forever.

My thoughts as well. He wanted them gone.

Does anyone think that he really had a psychotic break and he is still in rage mode? Perhaps after he receives medication, do you think he would breakdown thinking about his actions. I’m sure the defense will have their psychiatrist talk to him in detail.

No, I don't believe he had a breakdown, but it would surprise me in the least to see the defense attempt to somehow create the illusion the thrive made them both go into rage mode. I expect to see something along the lines of thrive making them behave like they were on bath salts......

IMNSHO, Chris Watts is trying to use the most obviously made up alibi ever known to humankind.

Has he just left everyone in the house and called 911 he may have gotten away with it. However, I suspect this wouldn’t have worked because when the police arrived they would have realized the kids had been dead a few hours. I bet he killed them shortly after the birthday party ended.

I don5 believe that CW snapped. According to the affidavit he left the house at 5.27am. This is the only time that is consistently mentioned as when he left. Plus we know for sure that it was that time because of the neighbors camera caught it.

We know for sure Shanann was dropped off at 1.48am because NA said and again the neighbors camera caught it.

I’m just unconvinced that in those 3 hours and 39 mins he witnessed his wife kill his daughter and snapped and killed her. But was calm enough to ‘load his tools’ into his truck and head to work.

I suffer from panic attacks and feel the effects of having had a bad one for hours after. CW committed murder, saw his children killed, and supposedly snapped but was so unaffected he was able to go to work.

Exactly. And there's no "temporary insanity"/ "snapped" shown in the decision-making to go to work early that particular day. That's rational not a befuddled man on auto-pilot, as is going to this particular remote tank site, ensuring that the house is fully locked, putting the front door on the latch etc. All these steps after he's come down so soon after a violent mania?!)

(He said himself on the interview that he went earlier than normal, a neighbour also said it iirc )

( Incidentally a neighbour is on the witness list - wondering what he'll have to say because it can't just be about cctv footage)

So could this connect to the FB post that posters have said that SW made whilst she was in NC,before her return - the post showing a house for sale in NC? Apparently she posted it twice. ( this was on an early thread)

SBM If I recall correctly, it was confirmed that the NC house SW posted on FB belonged to a friend of hers who was trying to sell.

I do think I remember reading her phone was in the couch cushions. I can't tell if this is the loft couch though. I see 3 different couches so not sure which is which.
