DAdvocate, if you are referring to the video of CW after his arrest it is not surprising CW eyes would look tired because his eyes are devoid of emotion, angry and without remorse and he had a taste of what his world will be like in prison for life.

No, the new video that was posted a couple pages back of an interview he did that I and some others hadn’t seen before.

Why are you so intent on building a case for the defense. I admit that before this case I hadn't posted since September of last year, but when I was active here last, this was considered a victim-friendly forum. Has that changed?
I keep wondering the same. I don't know that I have ever seen a victim's every action, picked apart, like SW has been. I'm almost ready to take a break again.

I definitely believe he killed the girls before SW was scheduled to arrive. (I can't work out if he may have already taken them to the oil site or not)
I believe if he had not taken them yet, he was going to wait for SW to discover the deceased girls.
I think her removing her shoes at the door and leaving the suitcase at the foot of the stairs mean nothing in my mind. She was pregnant and tired , likely in a fibro/lupus flare and pregnancy yuks....So eff that, I'd habe left it there too, for my husband to carry it upstairs or the laundry room.

He likely expected her much earlier so he'd have time to 'stage ' the house and likely have more time to move the bodies.
Did it seem to anyone that the area that SW was 'buried ' at look like it maybe was meant for more than just SW?

And does anyone know if the tanks the girls were in were in current use?
I know they had crude oil in them, but i wonder if they were ones that were currently being listed as active within the company ?

There were sensors in them, right? (I have a bit of education on some level sensors...hubby holds a couple of patents on grain/cement silo sensors. I don't pretend to know all about it because I DO NOT lol... his are more for sensing when they are close to overfill or almost empty. More epa type usage)

I just think CW thought he had more time to set things just right, but those damn pesky concerned friends and police well checks.

We aren't for sure how they paid for those tickets though. I know we use a airline credit card and I can't tell you how many times one of us has flown for free or we have companion tickets, which are $99 plus tax. A few credit cards offer incentives to use towards airfare.

Perhaps...but I am sure between credit and their pay, 50 dollars/month for these epic vacationers was doable.

Wondering that myself.

I quite honestly don't understand why some people are insistent upon making Shanann the "bad guy" here and seem to be going out of their way to find things. She's dead. You might not agree with how she displayed herself on SM (which is the way that MANY people do), or agree with the bedtimes she set. You may not even LIKE her. She is still a victim in this crime, however. She was still killed. There is zero proof that she killed the girls; we only have CW's word for that and his track record for the truth isn't strong.
I agree.

Scott was attractive, too. People keep saying CW is,..I don't see it. Not exactly convinced women poured over him.
Thank you. His head reminds me of a light bulb every single time I see him, lol.

Yes, there are screen caps of the Facebook post in one of the earlier threads.
Oh right I watched hours of video and never saw that. The poster I replied to said a friend had said it.

Until the evidence comes out in court. We only know that he admitted to killing his wife/baby, and hiding all of the bodies. There is no proof that he killed the children. We will wait for court.

Why do you think he hid their bodies in crude oil instead of calling the police and saying he killed her trying to save them?

Shanann posted it on a support group that she belonged to.

Hello all -

I’m a long time reader of WS, first time I’ve felt compelled to post.

This case is unbelievably tragic, and it’s clear (and understandable) that emotions are running high. The tenor of this discussion seems to be taking on a different tone than others I’ve followed in the past, though, which led me to post this :)

By way of background - I’m an attorney and have a fairly logical and analytical mind. I’m a compulsive researcher... I look into all sides, explore every possible theory, and uncover every fact I can find. I’m also a mother of 3 wonderful kids and cannot for the life of me understand this case - any of it- regardless of who killed who. Husband killing wife, parent (husband OR wife) killing kids - I can’t even begin to understand what could lead to that. But, unfortunately, we know that it happened - we just don’t yet know the “how” or the “why”.

The value of this board (IMO) comes from the open and respectful sharing of information, theories, and opinions. It’s important to remember that there’s a difference between known “facts” and assumptions/theories/opinions, no matter how likely they may seem to be.

At this point in time, my emotionally-based conclusion of what I *think* is likely to have happened is at odds with my legal training (and personal inclination) to be extremely careful in drawing conclusions that aren’t based in known fact. I have had enough experience to know that sometimes, my assumptions have NOT turned out to be correct. I am *not* saying that’s the case here - only that it’s good to keep an eye on the facts and temper those assumptions until more information becomes available.

When I read through this forum, I see some incredible posts pointing out new information or positing alternative theories. We are each entitled to our own opinions, of course, and there will always be those that agree with us and those that don’t... that’s not only perfectly okay - i think it’s actually a really, really good thing. We shouldn’t be skimming through the posts, selecting (or appreciating) only those that agree with our own personal views - if we don’t read through everything, we’re missing out on having the full picture.

I thoroughly enjoy this forum and the discussions that I’ve followed. I think there’s great value in having input from differing viewpoints, though, and hope that continues to be encouraged rather than dissuaded.

I will continue to follow along and hopefully, one day, we will know more about what actually transpired - even though I will never be able to understand WHY.
We also shouldn't forget that the police have a lot of information and evidence that we don't have.

I am still shocked that police went to the house so soon. Wonder if the friend had a friend that was a cop? Just seems odd that police would rush to the house because a friend can’t get ahold of her friend.

I have explained my reasoning for this in previous posts. He was faced with two bad options. Call 911 and Likely be blamed for all the deaths or hide the bodies. He chose the worst of the two bad options. I believe his mind was telling him if you call the police they will blame you.

I think NU gave them a compelling and true story and that's why they reacted so quickly.

How unfortunate for CW.
