I've found out some more information about the HOA lawsuit.

They were being sued for non-payment of dues and assessments. The total of the assessments and late charges was $683.80. The lawsuit was seeking an additional $650 for attorney's fees and $200 in court costs for a total of $1,533.80.

The lawsuit was filed on July 12, 2018, but both CW and SW signed Waivers of Service on June 30. That means the lawsuit was no surprise, and they were essentially agreed for a judgment to be entered against them for $1,553.80, plus interest at 18% per annum, plus additional attorney's fees and court costs if they filed a responsive pleading.

To me, this means they couldn't come up with $684 to get their HOA dues up to date. I would say it points to a dire financial situation. Why wouldn't you pay the dues before the lawsuit was filed if you could? Why have to pay the extra $200 in court costs and have a lawsuit as a public record against you?

The download failed for me. It states dues and not any fines like fences, wrong paint color etc.?
They absolutely could afford it, so I’m just stumped as to why not pay and be done with it.

I'm waiting for more Affair Persons (APs) to come forward. To me CW appears to be a conniving individual . He & Shannan had been married for just 6 years, but that's plenty of time to have more than one AP.

Shannan appears to be no nonsense & I feel she would not put up with CWs philandering , not even for a second. But, she would not kill her two children because of anything he said or did to her.

Shannan was sparkling sunshine, beauty and joy. CW is mud , dirt, poop, pond scum, and crude oil.

Innocent people do not do such horrible things to loved ones bodies, like he did.

And to think that he put them in that tank to keep them warm or close to him is ludicrous. He put them there, out in the middle of nowhere to dispose of them where they would never be found.

All above is MOO

*someone upstream mentioned CW putting children in tanks for reasons of warmth & keeping them close . I could not disagree more.

The endless happiness is on the Thrive stuff.

The more direct SM stuff is interesting, however.

I dont know

I think someone with three dead people in his home might be hesitant to give 911 a ring

Yeah. It DEFINITELY makes more sense to desecrate their bodies and risk taking the fall for 3 first degree murders than it does to call the cops and explain that he killed his wife while trying to prevent her killing their kids, but that it didn’t work.

I have read most but not all threads, had to step away from this - it seems like my mind is going in circles after awhile without having more information or facts.
I keep telling myself, it will come out in the trial - let it go, but I’m back because the WHY drives me crazy - I need a REASON because I don’t believe the CW version of events.
I have a friend very similar to SW with abusive spouse - both in Thrive business. Hope she’s following this story.
Questions:
1.) Could overdosing on Thrive patches - supplements have brought on a psychotic episode?
2) Was there any life insurance?
3.) Does anyone know for a fact, if it was SW or CW who wanted to move to Colorado?
4.) Do we have any information on CW - prior to
marriage to SW and moving to Colorado?

but he is not an innocent person . He murdered his wife and moved bodies.

Shortly after that , he told authorities where to go to get his babies out of horrible oil things

panic

the stuff about hiding smells makes no sense - you bury your wife close to the surface and worry about decomp smells

i think the oil reflects total panic

I hope my comment doesn’t get deleted. I’m usually one to hold out for defendant rights to the very end. And look for some reason to understand what really happened. But today I’m thinking the mistress helped him do this. That perhaps whoever AP is, she knew more about the remote locations of the storage tanks than he did; and also perhaps knew the effects of the bodies being submerged in oils on DNA.

The threads move so fast, I lose track of posts. I thought I saw a clip of reporters knocking on the door of the supposed mistress. Did they name her?

I get the feeling that CW waited for SW to fall asleep before doing what he did. Does anyone else feel this way? I don't know if that means he killed the girls after or not. She didn't feel well, so she may have said "How are the girls?", instead of going in to check on them.
Yes I think so too. I

i think so too. I think they argued and she went upstairs to bed and he stayed up brooding. I think he smothered her and then the kids

It is interesting to note, that as far as we know at this time, this monster apparently did NOT have any history of DV?

Pretty amazing for a child killer no?

Your example is helpful. The desire to scratch was a natural rage response. I'm not convinced that strangling is a natural rage response in the same way that hitting, slapping, throwing things are.
Never thought of that...

I think most of the happiness was about pitching Thrive. A lot of people have rules about only putting their happy faces on for social media and if your livelihood depends on your happy face I think it's even more skewed. If we were to judge her life by what she put on Facebook we would think CW was an amazing, supportive, loving, patient, wonderful husband. We know that's not true.

Does anyone have any guesses as to what or how much info might be released between now and the next court date, Nov 19th?

I ask because this thread is going to be super repetitive until something new comes out.

Speculating on the other side of the coin

Mothers killing their own children is shockingly more common than you think, so much so that there's even a term for the killer moms who do it — filicide. Although people might wonder in confusion as to how a parent can take away the life of the one thing they are supposed to love and protect, psychologists say there are several reasons for why moms choose to kill, from spousal revenge to altruistic motives. But the main thing that ties all these cases together, regardless of the motive, is mental health.

Mothers with very young children are infinitely more vulnerable when a partner deserts them and walks out on them,"

I cant without him theme - and stated online frequently (life is nothing without him etc)

reason there isn't any way out for them. They come to the conclusion that they have had enough and they want to take their own life and it's inconceivable to them that they take their own life and leave their children."

Killer Moms: Shocking Cases Of Women Who Killed Their Children - In Touch Weekly

It absolutely happens. We see it all over these boards. What I'm asking is how closely comparable are the circumstances (and methods?) to this case?

If evidence proves me wrong, that's fine. I haven't researched every single case of either mothers or fathers killing their children/families. I can't think of anything directly and evenly comparable. That's not to say there might not be some out there, and if there are, then if it's appropriate let's compare them to see exactly the similarities and dissimilarities?

I did read up on some cases of male familicide, and imo this case fits to a tee.

ADMIN NOTE:

WS is victim friendly. There is nothing to substantiate any speculation that SW was having an affair. Negative speculation about the victim is not allowed.

June 30th... where were they BOTH on that date, respectively?

Something else we don't know. LE wouldn't say if they'd been to their house before.

He might have a secret history of DV that only he and Shanann knew about.

Killer Moms: Shocking Cases Of Women Who Killed Their Children - In Touch Weekly
Assuming this happened the way this known liar/cheater says (generally when someone has lied about little things, it’s a pretty safe bet to trust they lie about big things...) why would he dispose of his children? Her DNA would be on them, this would absolutely prove she did it. ( for that matter why didn’t he call 911?!)

How many of these other killers gave TV interviews pretending that the missing spouse took the kids to a play date?

How many said they missed “those kids” ?

How many dumped their babies bodies in crude oil?

How many used stranglation?

Of course mothers kill their children. It looks like everyone of them admitted to it. (insane and awful excuses.)

I don’t see any of them that killed the husband and then dragged the husbands body to a shallow grave (near their work place). And then later try to blame shift.

I don’t see any who dumped their children in hazardous waste barrels.

I don’t see any who said they had an “emotional” conversation and then tried to cover the deaths with a “the family just disappeared.”

His story is so preposterous, it’s an affront in every sense. As are the murders.

False equivalency...

Murdering a whole entire family because of an affair never makes any sense to me. Not when divorces are so easy to come by.

And yet, it happens over and over. Homicide is the second leading cause of death of pregnant women.

Men who have carefully cultivated an appearance as a "golden boy" would rather murder than have the mask slip and have them outed as the type of person who would leave a pregnant wife for an affair.

Then there's the motive for others that they do not want to lose half their assets, and pay support for years.

Sociopaths figure murder is easier than all that. It certainly isn't and it doesn't make sense. But they do it. And never seem to learn from the last guy.
