What else could he say after her body was found? IIRC, and I'm open to being corrected, he spoke to his father after she was discovered and before he took blame. Is his father a lawyer? Were they able to contact a family lawyer during that meeting?

I am a little weak on why he would kill the kids first, but if he did, and planned on killing her when she arrived he must have been in a royal fit by the time she did arrive, ie hours later.

I still tend to think it was the result of a violent argument when she did arrive, and he killed her and then the kids because they saw it all. Does anyone know how many times he was able to call his family to get him legal advice before he confessed to her murder and the preposterous story?

Exactly - I agree with the bit in bold. He came up with this defense as a last resort.
I don't think he came up with the defense "confession" until after he'd been found out.

( And tbh I doubt his Dad had anything creative to do with coming up with this mad story. As a separate matter, it's poss his Dad is really gullible and this crazy story about SW killing her kids was something Dad actually believed and said "Go to it son, tell them." If CW is Dad's Golden Boy & SW was "the witch", it's possible I suppose. Equally CW might not have told Dad the details at all & Dad just says- tell the truth etc.)

I know zero about the Watts Dad so am keeping out of it on them. ( I didn't do SW FB posts - so genuinely have no clue on their character. Did pick up that there's in-laws hostility but hard to pass an opinion as to who's in right/wrong: so common)

Yes, I linked her ABC video a few pages back. She said CW didn't seem concerned and told her that Shanann was on a playdate. NUA said that didn't make sense to her because her car was in the garage with the girl's car seats in it. (She had her son look inside the garage.) Obviously, that was another of CW's lies.
He was playing her for a fool!

Ok what are the names of his defense team and can we see a link of any new motions anywhere? Trying to see what experience in trials this team has to foresight possible strategy

I think because it would have been too hard to tell his parents he murdered their grandbabies. Maybe they never liked SW, or maybe he figured they could forgive him for her murder, but never for killing the girls. They were theirs too.

yes totally agree he could never admit to his parents that he killed his innocent daughters. So this forms a very sloppy defence now on his part. I hope his parents convince him to finally tell he truth but I dont think he will.

So if he killed her and the kids it could be just as much her fault?

If he is guilty he ultimately did it. But how he was treated in he home may have played a role.

That is your opinion and I respect that. But there is much more to know IMO.

1. Prosecution has to disprove his story with facts we don’t have yet.
2. What was her state of mind, meds, mental history.
3. What was the financial situation.
4. How did SW treat CW and how did he treat her.

Etc.
All that to me does not matter. I don't care how she treated him. I don't care what her mental history was. I don't care how broke they were.
Nothing at all excuses him from what he is charged with and for dumping those little bodies in dirty, dark oil.

You don't have any idea of how he was treated in the home.

I am not sure that he gets to consent to a search of his employer's property. And I am pretty sure that he only told them which tanks because they had evidence of his being in that area.
He has given nothing up until he was forced to.
Exactly! The Affidavit states that they searched the area via drone WITH CONSENT prior to CW's half-@$$ed confession. CW can't authorize a search of his employer's property! Most likely the consent was provided by the very person named in the Complaint as a Witness, who's name is now being spouted all over the internet as being the AP, as opposed to a key assistant for LE in their investigation! Why would the Court order that information in the Affidavit be redacted, yet also release the name of the AP on the Complaint as a witness?? They wouldn't, IMO. So very many lives destroyed by this tragedy.

I agree that I view her as the controlling one in the marriage. I don't view him as a control freak. He did whatever she said. Until he didn't any more.
Same! I watched a lot of her FB vids. and from what I saw it certainly seemed as if she wore the pants in the relationship.

Everything anyone ever says to you plays a role, especially if you are the type of person to try to read ANTS into all conversations.

This is just bait to me, like saying there are bad people on all sides of a murder.

What if he was not making enough to pay for the mortgage? Is this included with child support? When I divorced my ex, he just paid child support based off a certain percentage of his salary.

Mortgage would not be factored in his child support. If he was making about $60,000 per year, and she moved the kids to NC, limiting his visitation time, he would have to pay about $1,100 per month in child support for three children. That wouldn't leave him enough to pay the mortgage.

Based on personal experiences I can take a pretty good guess into how SW and her babies were treated.

I think the CW we see in the mugshot is closer to the face those poor babies and mom had to deal with on a regular basis.

I'm going to IMO this as I don't recall where I saw the post about all the work she was doing in the home but she made a list and I wonder wth Chris was doing while she was doing everything.
The partial list was:
Laundry
Scrubbing the kitchen floor
Making dinner
Feeding the kids
Bathing the kids
Going thru several weeks of mail
There was more that I can't recall and this was all after her return from a trip. IMO

So women who murder there husbands after years of abuse .... do the husbands deserve no blame? They do IMO. A lot of posts are basing opinion on what they know/speculate about CW. I suspect we will learn more about SW and the marriage at a later date.

Who snooped?
Trying to implying NU walking through the house with LE looking for signs of 3 missing people is the same as snooping

One last thought and I am probably logging off of this site for a little bit. It's too emotional. I said it before and will again up until a year ago he was home at NIGHT with the children while she worked. She posted a last day post of her job that she wouldn't miss the overnights. My gut feeling from the beginning was she walked in on something I don't want to even put into words and that is the motive to kill and dispose of everyone with no evidence.

Do you know roughly what date was that - ie which job was she referring to?
overnights for Thrive?

I get your point in italics -that's still possible. I am sure that autopsy will have checked that out. Hope it isn't true

JOOC how did they know where to hone in on? That he had done anything on company property. Maybe because of the time he showed up for work? He was dirty?

Played a role in her murder and the murder of the children? Wow. IMO
