Would you mind telling me how many hours away this hearing is please? I’m in Australia and it’s 5.30pm Tuesday 6th at the moment. Just in case I wake up in middle of the night!

I'm in Melbourne and if my maths is correct, it'll be 8am AEDT. I'll be sleeping in for nightshift, who knows how much catching up I'll have to do. Though there's a part of me that thinks it'll just be boring date setting type stuff and we won't learn anything. But then I think there could be a bombshell and that's why it was moved up from the 19th... either way I'll be here right when I wake up!!

I have no problem believing that CW would/could be interested in having a male lover. But I had a hard time believing this particular person, only because they were originally tweeting about their affair with him, and posting on FB. And that seemed odd and troll like, given the gruesome circumstances.

I would have thought one would first call LE or the FBI, and not post it all over their twitter feed. JMO

That was me too. I'm starting to think he might be legit though now. The article on Crime Online swayed me a bit. We'll find out at some point I'm sure!

So he hid many, many truths without concern, alarm nor respect. Until he was caught out..then the fabrications started.

That’s why even taking his story at face value, his actions make no sense.

You kill your wife, let your kids die, and then coverup the crime so that you won’t face any repercussions from it. Who thinks like that? Who behaves like that?

A killer does.

It’s convenient that he attempted to destroy the very evidence that would have exonerated him in killing the kids.

We hear killers say all the time:
“I covered up the crime because I knew that nobody would believe me.”

No. The public defender’s office has a self imposed gag order when it’s comes to speaking with the media.

They haven’t said a thing either way.

The one thing that made me think it might be true, was that the guy was saying on national television, that he was meeting with the FBI and with the homicide detectives.

If he was lying, I'd think that even with a gag order, they'd be allowed to call someone out that was spreading false info about an ongoing case. But who knows?

I suspect there are other males, but who would out themselves as having an affair with CW. If anything, I think they'd be hoping there's no record of themselves on his phone or anywhere else.

I recently had an experience of this.

Following a major "out of the blue" domestic violence incident (probable murder/suicide attempt), the husband was no longer in residence.

Wife is suspicious. Turns out "Family man" had secret profiles on numerous tinder type sites. Used a VPN to access them so it was all well hidden.

Seems likely he had maintained a secret hookup identity for many years

Then in the context of major financial problems and house of cards crashing down, he tried to take out the wife and himself.

Like you I suspect lots of things are going to come to light, because his profiles will still exist with the providers.

Bet you he deleted the apps .

I am thinking that her friend was going to bring her home. She must have parked at the airport.

Maybe the friend would want to come in for some reason or she would be invited in.

If it was early enough, she could be screaming and neighbors could hear.

Maybe a neighbor would drop over earlier in the evening.

I am not following all the what if’s. CW was aware of the flight delay and knew they would not arrive til 2 in the morning. If the friend came in for some reason he would have just waited for her to leave. SW’s death happened between 2 and 5 am. As far as neighbors hearing screams, we don’t know if she had a chance to scream and if she did, someone would have to be next to the house to hear it.

Yes they did show a demonstration. There was also a monitor video SW had posted on FB of one of the toddlers sleeping, it had the same blue tint.

All of which brings up another big question in my mind....WHY the heck would SW choose to strangle the children, when she knows her husband could see her on the monitors? Wouldn't she assume he could see her, and he would come in and do whatever he had to, to make her stop?

If she really wanted to do the evil deed, for revenge, why not wait a couple hours and do it without any interference from him?

IN all of the other cases, I know of,where parents killed the children , in order to devastate their spouses, they did so when the partner was not present.

What was her endgame, knowing he was there and would be enraged?

Because he was downstairs? (according to the affadavit). I'm wondering whether he called AP during this period, so it may have been longer than a 'moment'.

If what the alleged male AP says Chris told him is true, that he really felt verbally and emotionally abused by Shanann and didn't know how to get out of the marriage, then trying for another baby and succeeding in doing so is a special sort of stupid in my book. If he truly felt that way then the last thing he would do is trap himself further by having another child. Then engage in other affairs while telling his newly pregnant wife over and over he wanted to separate.
Also, a thought on the reports of Chris being depressed and sad over what people are thinking of him now...IMHO, the "people" he his referring to are his current and past APs.

I know the defence is not supposed to comment on the trial, but if this is nonsense, I think there is a high chance he would have issued a statement.
