me too. I respectfully disagree with all my ws friends who think he did this from respect for family, any type of altruism at all. He was terrified that a lot of tawdry carp was going to get out.
Yep.

i think mr. DA is quite happy about now, not having to receive any gruff from either side about going for the dp, or not. Which could take a generation to resolve. He comes out looking good.
I think this case was handled extremely well.

He comes out looking golden.

If CW was sentenced to death, it would have come after a painful trial, led to years of appeals, and never would have been carried out.

A complete victory.

Omg, I agree 100% that he did this ONLY to save himself from the same fate he chose for his wife and children. The man committed this crime and then lied to the world about it trying to save his own sorry @**. If he gave a crap about her family or his own, he would have never been able to annihilate his wife and children in the first place.
He’s a selfish, stupid murderer.

I wonder if ap knew about confession before today. Man oh man I'd feel completely creeped out.

Well the Governor is none too pleased with him, but everyone else thinks he did pretty well.... lol

Maybe she will think twice before getting involved with a married man.

Today Chris Watts stood before the world and showed his true face (metaphorically), it is a very selfish, very evil, ugly face. When he accepted the plea deal and pled guilty to all nine charges he also pled guilty. (metaphorically) to murdering SW a second time with his foul lies! We now see him, completely, for who he is and probably always has been. Death would have been merciful for him, quick and easy, and while I don't believe he'll ever experience remorse, I do believe that regret will eat at him like a bad and relentless infection slowly consuming him. Long years could be a lifetime of agony for him! He's also a coward and prison will give him a lifetime of fears!

I'll think of Shanann, Bella, Cece, and Nico as Angel's and be glad they were here, if only for a short time. They touched many with their lives and light.
I hope he relives every bit of that night, every night when he closes his eyes. And remembers the video where his sweet baby sang he was her hero. I hope it eats at him.

A complete victory.
Not to mention that any trial would likely have been delayed another 4 years...

I agree, the DP is too good for murderers. They need to suffer long and hard before they die...and THEN they can die, go to Hell and suffer forever!

I hope they play that video in court as part of the impact statements.

Do you think the AP will ever come forward? I’d sure like to hear what she has to say.

I’m not sure. Right now she’s off the hook in regards to having to testify at trial. I’m sure she’s thrilled at that.

I bet she wants this all to go away, and talking can only hurt her.

I woke up today and a book I have been waiting for over a year to be released (then delayed an extra week)was finally downloaded to my kindle. I was so excited BUT could barely read a word of it as I still needed to catch up on this thread and was thinking about the hearing today.
His plea was more icing on the cake of my day. I started tearing up and smiling when I heard the news. Its like an early Bday present.
but most importantly there is now justice for Shanann Bella Cece andNico. And for her family and friends. The majority of us knew the truth since day One. It's been a struggle to listen to the other "theories" and some outright victim blaming. I'm glad that's over now and Shanan n and the girls can finally rest in peace while he rots in prison. I look forward to more details so we know what really happened that terrible nite.

I am thinking AP has something to do with this partial motive, and cooperated to help bring this about. I cannot imagine she believed her actions would contribute to the death of an innocent woman and her innocent and precious children. If she is human, unlike him, she must feel horrendous guilt and sadness for the part she unwittingly played in this. She knew he was a married man with children but who knows what stories he told, and who knows if she inadvertently helped drive him to this.

I hope that I do not get banned for this.
I want to believe that Shannon and her babies are in a better place.
But, I just do not.
Shannon, her daughters and Nico are all dead.
Their potential happy lives killed in one night of a murdering frenzy.
By their beloved Husband and Father.
I wish that I believe that Shannon and here children are happily floating around in heaven.
But, I do not.
I think that their lives were taken by Chris and that they are dead.
Period. Snuffed out.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. But you might reconsider your placement of the opinion. It might be better placed on its own post rather than in reply to this particular post, which is from a VI.
