With Tessier, he was watched, every 15 minutes, yet managed to kill himself.
Once you decide, perhaps nothing may stop you.
Guess CW will be carefully watched.
MOO.
Same with Israel Keyes.

His description of Bella and Celeste and their personalities in relation to himself and Shanann has always sat wrong with me, and it being the mention of Celeste that set him off in tears kind of solidified my feelings. I'm not sure if I can describe this well, but I'm going to try.

He said:

'Celeste, she’s just a bubble of energy, she’s called rampage because she’s like… she’s always… it’s… she’s got two speeds - go or she’s sleeping and she’s always a troublemaker, she’s always the one jumping off things, you know, and she’s yelling at you and all kind of things. Bella she’s the more calm, cautious, mothering type and she’s… she’s more like me, she’s more calm, she’s… but Celeste has definitely got her mom’s personality where she’s always hung-ho ready to go.'

The things he initially says about Celeste sound... less than complimentary, and when you add that at the end he says she has her mom's personality, it sounds like victim blaming. She's a troublemaker, she's yelling and all kind of things. 'She's always gung ho and ready to go' definitely sounds like a quality Celeste has received from Shanann... but I think the 'rampage', the troublemaker and the yelling... are all CW.

Bella being the more calm, the more mothering type, more like HIM? Nope. I'm not buying it. I do not and cannot buy that he was the mother in this family.

I think the descriptions of the girls may be fairly accurate (but more in the sense of feisty vs. structured), but he is distributing their qualities in a manner that makes him look like the good guy. Don't look at CW for this, for he is the voice of reason, the calm in a storm. Pfft.

He used 63 words to describe Celeste. He used 18 to describe Bella. For what that's worth.

Rampage vs. Mothering.

If we had to pick, who do you think he identified with more strongly?

Yes, I felt immediately that he really hated the younger child, his contempt was visible, and when we found out where he dumped them, that confirmed it to me. I would bet a month's salary that Celeste was the first to die.

Thankfully he was so dumb. Had all weekend to think of these obvious details.
He really is one of the most stupid criminal.
Hence, his case took only 3 months to close. Done. LWOP 5 times plus extras. In 3 months!

I genuinely hope that he doesn’t succeed.

I hope his days are long, and his nights longer. I hope the decades pass slow.

I don’t think he’s smart enough to pull it off anyways. He’ll be the first guy to try and commit suicide by slicing his finger.

They’ll just put a bandaid on his paper cut and watch him closer.

What a dope.

Nothing about this case is funny, but I must admit your post just made me LOL

OK, I forgot the username so wasn't sure. I was hoping she would update us on her opinions/feelings at this point.
Respectfully...IMOO...I personally wouldn't ever care to hear anything she had to say again. Ever.
Just sayin'.

Prior to CW's guilty plea I was open to the idea that he was telling the truth. I was 99% sure he was responsible, but I was still open to it until I had more information. Now that he's plead guilty I'm completely embarrassed and to be honest, I'm not sure I'll ever be so open to other possibilities again. Has anyone else followed a thread and gone down this road before?
I have not gone down that path, Tippy, but just wanted to say that you handled yourself with class and objectivity and never bashed SW. I'm glad your cheek got off the fence!!! :p

Yes, I agree. And that may also be why he cried when he admitted to killing CeCe.
Perhaps he was crueler/rougher with her than Bella whilst he murdered her.
MONSTER!

Agree with so much of this! I just want to understand WHY? If it was not because of the conventional appearance, then WHY? Neither of these three seemed likable to me. Oh I thought of another one. I never found SP attractive either, but many have mentioned his charisma. To me , he just came across as smarmy. But I suppose in a still photo, with none of the backstory known, I may have said all four of these individuals were slightly aboce average...maybe a 5 or 6 on a scale of 1-10.
I haven’t seen any CW defenders out since the guilty pleas. It’s rather disappointing to learn they have no interest in sharing their thoughts on how wrong they were, and their newfound desire for justice for the victims they so self-righteously defamed. It makes me think they really had no interest in the truth at all, they merely enjoyed the power they had to upset people who genuinely cared.

MOD NOTE

Please don't discuss other WS members on the thread. This includes VIs.

Also, a reminder that WS does not condone violence of any kind, including wishing violence on a convicted criminal. You can think whatever you want or discuss it with each other privately, but don't post it on the thread.

Some of you seem to have missed the warning above. Do not talk about other members. Don't ask where they are. Don't ask if they are coming back to the thread. If you wish to have these discussions, do so privately among yourselves, not on the open thread.

So how exactly does his doorbell cam work? Is it set up to notify him on his phone? Or is it a house alarm thing - suggesting he had set the alarm when he left? If so that would be a strange thing to do on a normal day with his wife and children at home, surely.

I have a security camera that works similar to the ring doorbell. An app on my phone notifies me if it detects motion or a person at the door. I have the option of speaking to the person at the door through the app. Mine also records, so I can watch or save clips later.

Like many of you, I was shocked to check the news and learn that CW admitted to killing his entire family. However, when I learned it was to remove the death penalty as an option, it just further proved his selfishness.

At first, he had “no inclination”. Then, he only killed SW after witnessing her strangle the children. Finally, he admits the truth, but again, only to serve himself, to save himself the embarrassment of all his secrets and lies that would come out in court, not only to his family and friends, but to hers as well.

I still do not think he planned to murder them when he did. Being that he was having an affair and had spent five weeks without his family and had a taste of the single life (not really, though because SW prepped all his food and had a beautifully decorated home for him in her absence), I am quite positive that he considered their murders and maybe even did some research. However, the sloppy job he did and the short amount of time he gave himself to do it coupled with her doctors appointment the next morning, doesn't lend itself to planning to do this on that specific day. I do feel that "emotional conversation", whatever that entailed, did spark an argument that escalated and he deliberately decided to go forward with his previous thoughts that evening. Regardless, he did not think far enough because he put himself in a very tough position to get out of as a result.

Why leave the house with loose ends? If the girls were gone already, wouldn't he have had more time to stage things with SW even with her flight delay? How could he be sure no one would come looking for her while he was at work?

And if this was all planned to happen that day, then he is even more stupid than he has already proved himself to be.

I'm glad that her family will not have to endure years of unrest and a lengthy trial. They can be done with this nightmare and focus on healing themselves as best as they can without three (plus 1) beautiful members of their family while he can spend the rest of his miserable life in prison.

While others have commented that his narcissistic nature would not allow him to commit suicide, I don't completely put it past him.

Recalling Tyler Tessier who killed his pregnant girlfriend while simultaneously having another relationship with a woman to whom he proposed, he too staged interviews and even wept on camera holding her family's hand while pleading for her return. Of course, this starkly contrasts with CW and his porch interviews, but point being on the day of trial, he got dressed for court, ate breakfast, and then committed suicide. He thought that he would be able to get away with what he did and be free to live his life with the other woman without worrying that a baby on the way would ruin that for him. Once he realized, he was done for, and he would never attain that life, he killed himself.

Will CW do the same? Who knows, but what other hope could he possibly be holding out for?

This is all just so tragic, and I'm sad that I ever had to learn about Shan'ann, Bella, Celeste, and Nico in this manner. May they rest in eternal peace.
When they talk about deliberation and planning, I always recall Nancy Grace saying that "premeditation can occur in the blink of an eye". It's not that he might have planned it for a certain date, it's the fact that he made a decision to do it.

Unfortunately there are many of them who are still out there and some just as adamant and stubborn as ever. The most fervent ones have made mind boggling admissions to feeling depression and sadness since CW plead guilty! It’s like the Twilight Zone. It would seem that some people clearly prefer alternate realities to Earth!

STOP talking about people on social media or wherever they are who are still defending CW. It's against TOS to talk about or even mention rumors.

If it can't be linked, it can't be discussed.

CW is guilty. The end. It's disrespectful to the memories of the family he murdered in cold blood to continue to bring up his "supporters" or whatever they are. Every criminal has groupies and fans. CW is not unique. He'll probably get married in prison. Probably soon. Who cares?

The focus should be on the victims of this horrible crime and ensuring that justice is carried out at sentencing.

This post lands at random.

Welcome Sixcats1 :)

Do you have the option of not setting it to notify you if other people are at home to answer the door?

What can we do to help assure justice is carried out at sentencing?

Colorado Man Pleads Guilty in Killing of Daughters, Mother From Moore County
“(We) spent quite a bit of time talking with the Rzucek family about the state of the death penalty in Colorado (and) the realties of the death penalty,” Rourke said during a news conference. “We explained to (the Rzuceks) the extraordinary delays that currently exist in the state of Colorado as a result of, in part, the actions of our current governor.”

“I don’t know how I could have sat in Sandy’s kitchen and asked her to commit the next 25 years of her life to the criminal justice system without any assurances that that sentence, if obtained, would ever be imposed,” Rourke said.

“(The Rzuceks) were very strongly in favor of a resolution in this case short of the death penalty,” Rourke said. “That to me, was the most important consideration in deciding how to proceed with this case.”

You can turn off notifications. Mine alerts me of both motion, and people talking.
