I have a question regarding NK and the scrubbing of her phone/deleting of text messages. I was the victim of a stalker and though the text messages had been deleted, LI was able to subpoena the records from the cellphone providers. They got every last detailed text. It was a printed list of everything that was said. Though we as consumers don’t have access to this, LI can request it and every single word shared via text with anyone, is stored and able to be retrieved. So why would they not do this and confirm more of what was known/etc via their text exchange. Please forgive me if this was answered already.

Pictures cannot always be retrieved. Maybe she deleted the pictures because they were embarrassing?

I think I'm referring to the actual press conference, not a tape. So he clarified later, that's fine. I just didn't understand his first answer which is what I was asking about in my OP.

Sorry, I'm older so by "tape" I meant the it in the context of the videotape of the PC. I posted a news article earlier from a reputable source that supports what I'm saying.

I do believe that these annihilators feel some sense of shame or panic. But not for normal reasons.

He's not driven by fear of prison or being harmed, really. He's not capable of remorse. But I think he is capable of a sort of shame. And narcissistic panic that his true self will be revealed.

And it was. And he couldn't take that. IMO.

It was all narcissism on display. Not worry about how he will fare in prison.

This is my read on CW too - he was fidgeting exactly like a belligerent teenager in the head teacher's office when getting a talking to they think is "just, like, such bull, man". It was just missing the eye rolling.

He doesn't care one jot about killing his children and his spouse. I'll buy him being "ashamed" of losing face in public and being crushed by the loss of status in a very public way - Mr Watts has become just another inmate for the rest of his life. Not special anymore. Not a good boy with a lot of promise. Just another face in the herd of people in orange jumpsuits, now. And that has to be eating him up.

No. I recall he talked about there being only one plea deal and that was true. But that's different from offers.

I don't think she actually 'switched' schools. She was just entering Kindergarten. So she probably wouldn't have been in this same school anyway, as she was just in preschool before.

This is my understanding:

-Shanann did not switch school.
-In the morning after annihilating his whole family, CW called the school to un-enroll Bella. He explained to the school that Bella will be going to a different school.
-He did this so no one from any school calls him about Bella in the future.

It's crazy but that's how his mind works.

OK not sure how to bring the video over from the media page but the interview with Fox news' Keegan Harsha on 11/19. - he asks him about the circumstantial evidence and at 7.09 in MR starts talking about the house. He said "the house is locked up, there's no way to get in, the keycode doesn't work".

Yep, there was never any switching schools. I think "those people" heard something from their "source" about the call CW made to unenroll the girls and it somehow got to SW was switching schools. Anything they could use to put her in a bad light. I'm sure they had some horrible reason "SW was switching schools".

Someone a few pages back said they wondered if a source fed wrong information to someone/family member to see if they would leak it to the podcast people or anywhere online. I think that is a good theory. I feel like someone sure thought they knew things when they didn't know squat. However, I also think they literally made up blantent lies about SW and spread those around as well.

What the hell? She forgives him for marrying Shannan? She forgives him for having children with her? She forgives him for slighting her in some way, I'm sure. These people are warped in some horrible way. To have her as a neighbor or co-worker would have me on edge. Something is very, very wrong.

I think there’s some confusion arising because during the press conference after the hearing where the plea agreement was presented and CW pled guilty to all charges (11/6) the DA alluded to more than one approach from the defence (I.e. CW) about a plea.

THEN, in the presser after the sentencing hearing (11/19) the DA said there was only one deal/agreement.

I’d have to go back and listen again to both pressers to be sure.

Yes. Those are two different things. I can see why it would be confusing.

They did. She was able to get more details about the case. It doesn't mean she genuinely accepts them.

I hope someday she does, I know it must be horribly difficult to wrap your brain around a loved one committing such crimes.

But she comes across as caring more about herself and her son being in jail than the horror of the crimes committed. The 4 lives gone forever. I was repulsed by her statement to the court.
