An Apple Watch determined to belong to SHANANN WATTS was located on a couch in the upstairs loft area, underneath the throw pillows.

Page 592 talking about her usual nightly routine says:
SHANANN had an Apple watch and would take it off and charge it each night.

I'm guessing she had already taken it off before he killed her. I think she had either gotten ready for bed or was sleeping when he killed her. I'm assuming if she had been wearing the watch, it would have captured her heart rate data and any steps or movement. I don't recall reading anything on that, but after having to skip through those terrifying fan mail letters, I did not read every single page.

I have not read the documents, only following the posts here to learn.

So it appears that he took off her watch and hid her phone and put them both in the couch. I would love to know and a question for @PommyMommy to add, is when was the watch taken off her body? Because it certainly wasn't plugged in to be recharged.

Well, you know Shanann handled the finances and researched the groupon discounts. He just drifted along.

They were 3 months behind on their mortgage plus $1500 due in HOA fees. Both he and SW were in denial about their spending.

Although CW sure as hell realized that he could save the private school money by calling the girls' school to say that they would not be coming.

Anyone else wonder if the burial position SW was placed in was in any way similar to the, er, positions NK was googling during the affair? As a final act of disrespect?

Or was it just a running-out-of-time issue? Or the position her body was placed in the truck? Or the way he carried her from the truck? It feels more intentional than incidental...

At that point I imagine he was thinking get the body into the smallest possible hole I have to dig, and cover it.

Approximately nine inches below the surface grade, CSM Maloney and I located the adult female victim believed to be Shanann Watts.

The victim was in a fetal position with her knees pulled up to her chest at the bottom of the grave and her feet directed up towards the top of the grave. Her chest and face primarily was facing down into the ground while her back was oriented up. Her head was towards the west while her feet were towards the east. Her left arm was extended to the east along side of her head.

The depth of the grave when the body was removed was approximately twenty-seven inches in depth.

The body was lying face down in a kneeling type position with her head facing in a westerly direction and in a declining position deeper into the ground from her lower torso. SHANANN’s arms were outstretched in front of her, and her feet were pulled up underneath and behind her. SHANANN was exhumed from the ground and placed in a body bag. Investigator WEINER took possession of SHANANN’s body.

Yes.

It's clear from SW's messages that NC was a key turning point and we know this is when the affair kicked off.

He discovered he liked not having his family around.

I imagine the first night without them was like the Tom Cruise Risky Business dancing in his underwear scene, except to Metallica, staring at his tats and pecs in the mirror, taking selfies, and sending pics of his unmentionables to NK.

BUT, wasn’t that a comp that the realtor was looking at to determine a possible sale price for their (CW & SW) home? NOT a house he (CW) was looking at buying?

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet: CW was stunted mentally. This affair is more like a first love, not an affair in your 30s. CW never had this experience before, but it's so important in human development: That first soul-crushing all encompassing obsessive first love. We, as adults, know how this inevitably ends: Heartbreak and disaster. But CW did not know this. He thought in his head he and NK were gonna live happily ever after.

But we know what would have happened, if he hadn't murdered his family; he gets a divorce and dates NK, a ton of drama and eventual break up, and maybe CW would have killed NK, if she didn't go along with his weird fantasy for them.

CWs main concern is what others think of him. He's very worried about his image. He was so worried that Shanann and his children would think less of him for having an affair, he thought it would be better to kill them than come clean. He is so naive and young. If he only would have thought of the reality of his relationship with NK, realized it would be an ultimately futile thing. That he would regret. If he only would have been more mature, to know everyone has financial struggles sometimes, and they aren't the end of the world.

If he only would have thought of others at least sometimes, instead of needing to have fawning women around him at all times, constantly telling him how amazing he is, and if they dare say anything critical, even his children, well, he'll show them.

Havent heard anyone mention that CW was stunted mentally? I thought we had been discussing that from the beginning. In my opinion it's the fact that he is a psychopathic narcissist that enabled him to have no problem eliminating his family in the first place.

As for his relationship with his lover, I think you described it well. It's very similar to the reason Scott Peterson thought Amber Frye was the love of his life. Laci had been a perfectionist, and ran the house and took charge of things just like Shanann. But she was about to have his baby. Amber was a warm, caring person who Scott felt really listened and understood him.
In CW's case, he says he had never met anyone like Nickol, and that he felt he was able to talk to her about anything. And then there was the sex. She was likely more wild and experimental than what he was used to, and the first woman he fell quickly in love with since he had met Shanann. But she didn't have children. He probably looked at Shanann as being a mother object, rather than a sex object. It was said that the marriage started having problems after two years. Chris mentioned during his interview that it went downhill after the girls were born. Now here is a woman he looks at as a beautiful, willing, lustful sex partner as opposed to the mother figure Shanann was, who reminded him of his own mother.
As many have said before, the one thing a narcissist or psychopath fears is being exposed. That includes the fact that he has no regard for human emotions or empathy for others. He's known all his life that he is not like other people. But he worked hard all his life to appear like a "good guy." Now everyone knows. No wonder he doesn't want any visitirs or phone calls in jail. His facade of being a normal human has finally come to an end. Imo

It seems that he wrapped her in the sheet on the bed and bundled her in this fetal or kneeling position so she would be a smaller bundle to carry down the stairs and out of the house. After he dug the hole, I guess he "unrolled" the sheet into the grave and this is how she landed, face down with arms outstretched? IDK, but I don't think he took the time at the gravesite to arrange her in this particular way. I think he literally dumped her.
