JMO, NK didn't come forward to help LE. She had to come forward before LE came looking for her. She knew they knew about her.
Exactly. And her interview with the Denver Post contradicts many of her statements to LE in the discovery documents. MOO

That would be obstruction of justice and you can get up to ten years in most states.

Wouldn't it be great, if these people that told porkies, are prosecuted.
We would be here forever, jumping up and down, with happiness.:D:D

You are referencing a lot of things that have been disproved as existing in anyone's mind other than The Family Chris Watts. For example, the money embezzling is utter fabrication, given that she an that former boss remained very good friends. Highly suspicious about the policies as well. Anything CW says cannot be trusted. Dod you also take note of the neighbor who said he often heard CW YELLING at Shan'ann? Not the other way around. Chris Watts heard often raising his voice at his wife, whom he murdered, along with their children, before disposing of them and chomping on pizza. Un hunh.

Ok well I said I hadn't seen it discussed. I haven't been reading every single thread since the start of this trial.

FB and YouTube comments do not speak kindly of her after the doc drop.

Shes going to have a hard time getting her life back in order.

Moo
Yeah. My point is that her efforts at damage control got a lot more exposure in that they were published in a large newspaper, and ultimately disseminated throughout the country.

Most people don’t follow this case to the extent that we do, and likely won’t see a lot of the criticism.

It’s definitely out there though.

I believe the income statement was from him. Is he telling the truth about it?

Several of her friends who were interviewed also told what SW's income was. IIRC, all said it was in the $65,000-80,000 range.

Why don't you go by the account of her own husband, recently relayed to interrogators. She made about as much as he did, not half....about as much. Why would it speak "volumes" to you, that she went "half way across the country", to where her parents live? Do you think he would have curtailed his adultery and stopped wasting the family money on some person at work if she had gone, for instance, only 1/4 way across the country?
Maybe you've never had 2 very small kids, a 15 week pregnancy, several illnesses, so you can't understand, maybe, how much being with parents (hers and his) for some summer weeks would make sense. Except for CW murdering the whole family, what signs of "chaos", what "toll" did she deal with, other than the husband brutally killing her and tiny kids and desecrating their bodies?
Nicely done @NuttMegg!

exploring ways to cash in on your love rivals murder by your lover doesn't sound like much of a victim to me.

moo

IF, any money is obtained in trying to cash in, it will be completely lost (and more) as NK will be, and is, in damage control.
MOO.

Is it true, as stated in the discovery that they were three months behind on their house payment?
I do not think that was confirmed.

Exactly. And her interview with the Denver Post contradicts many of her statements to LE in the discovery documents. MOO
Many of her statements contradict others like

Every one of CW coworkers knew SW was pregnant except for NK even though she saw him everyday.

Coworkers all knew of SW and had met her at least once, except NK

Said she wanted him to work on his marriage, but continued to pursue him

Says they never spoke about SW in a negative way, but goes on to say negative things about her (bossy etc)

All coworkers said is was odd he went straight to the site that morning except NK who said something about it being odd, but not highly unusual.

At this point I don't think anything she says is any more trustworthy than what comes out of CW mouth

If they would start with Cindy Anthony I'd be pleased.

I'm not sure. Wasn't that only said by CW in his interviews when he was trying to blame SW for everything? I'm not taking his word for it. Did we get anything else showing that they were behind on the mortgage?
We have no hard evidence to support that they were behind.

I’d need to see something from an investigator, or some documentation to that effect.

CW’s word ain’t worth 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

I know, sigh, every time we get back on track one person comes on and starts with the insinuations. Maybe from now on let's just ignore completely and keep going without trying to play to that nonsense.

It’s exhausting! I’ve been extremely busy with company and now back to work. I’ve been dying to catch up but it’s either the old bashing Shanann which drove me away for weeks or it’s non-stop about NK which may be salacious but I find it terribly boring. There’s close to 2,000 pages of new information to discuss. For those of you doing that, thanks! I try to hit like as I scroll through all the nonsense. It feels like the movie Groundhog Day!

But it doesn’t say “had to put in a process to locate and speak to.”

Wednesday, Aug. 15
4:15 p.m. — Prior to Christopher Watts' confession, police investigators start a drone search of the oil and gas site where they believed the bodies of Shanann, Bella and Celeste Watts to be located. They spot a bed sheet matching the pattern of several pillow cases and a top sheet recovered from a kitchen trash can in the Watts' home earlier that day. Police also spot "fresh movement of dirt consistent with a clandestine grave near the oil tanks."

Wednesday evening — After two days of investigating, police discover that Christopher Watts was engaged in an affair with a co-worker, according to arrest documents. In an interview with police, Christopher Watts "said he would tell the truth after speaking with his dad," arrest documents say.

11:30 p.m. — Christopher Watts is arrested on suspicion of three first-degree murder charges and three charges of tampering with a deceased human body.

Timeline: Key dates in investigation of deaths of Shanann Watts, 2 daughters in Colorado

Are you saying while the police were investigating NK over those 2 days, she voluntarily contacted them first? It most likely happened that way, she stated in the media interview she approached them on Oct 16, unless there's more to come in the next dump which states the police contacted her first. I understand your reluctance to believe she didn't have good intentions, she did do the right thing by contacting the police before they did.

EDIT:
I don't think a lawyer was involved at that time. Her FBI interview was 8/15 and CBI interviewed her 8/16 at the Thornton Police Department where her father joined her. MOO
Hmm, just edited post for PommyMommy's relevant info, so did the FBI make contact first or did she? I'm confused.

Hello Everyone. A couple of months ago, I realized that Shannon, Nico, Bella and CeCe had been killed for another woman and I just couldn’t post anymore. I stepped away until last week. I am still new but was wondering about this:

While Shannon was at the business conference in AZ, CW got another babysitter because he had won raffle tickets through work for a Rockies game. Shannon was actively worried about problems in her marriage and trying to give CHRIS SPACE, but (this is just me) I would have wanted pictures from the game (as a wife wondering what was going on in my marriage). He would not have been able to produce any pictures or even ticket stubs from the game. He lied about something he was going to get called out on, if he wasn’t already. So at that time, he didn’t either care she found out, or he knew he was going to kill her and the girls, while he was on the date with NK.
I read somewhere that he screenshotted pics of the game to send her...I'll see if I can find that.

When SA Coder was asking CW if NK knew he was going to kill his family, CW told him no - and that she "just knew they were going to hang out more after he got his own place."

Discovery p. 609

I thought that was a strange reply.

I'm not his family and I thought it was open discussion of the documents in here? I don't understand the whole situation, that's all. But I guess it's a witch hunt if I post some things some people don't like?

It's not about "liking," it is about misrepresentation. Maybe read up a bit more before posting false facts and suppositions. Your comment that CW murderer was trying his best is actually offensive in light of all that we know as FACT, not insinuation or assumption or blatant Ma, Pa, Sis and Christopher Watts lies.

He also paid with a credit card, as opposed to the gift cards he usually used. NK found this strange, as he clearly made efforts in the past to conceal their affair.

We know that SW became aware of this restaurant bill.

For some reason, he no longer cared about their affair being exposed, and it’s not a stretch to think that the reason he didn’t care is because he already had a plan in mind.

Ominous indeed.
I agree. And in his mind, they were gone already and he was going to make that happen. Chilling.

Didn’t we see somewhere where she was also getting alerts while in NC? Not sure if in the documents or a remark by Rourke in presser. I agree Saturday night adds to his premeditation either way though
