Absolutely! They did good and act like they really care about what he is going through. And then give little "rewards" and praise when he "comes clean" on confessing something, before they start drilling on the next thing. Good tactics.

I dunno. It may be impractical, and there might be a psychological motive behind it.

Maybe not seeing the camera staring them in the face, makes a perpetrator more likely to talk.

Yes, and perhaps it is wishful thinking but I think the female interrogator is a little sickened that they have to say negative things about SW to get him comfortable enough to confess to something. I definitely would not have the acting chops to build up CW as they have to do - and remain so composed - to get him to stay and not lawyer up. It is a master class as MassGuy said. They knew what would work with CW. He needed to be seen as a good guy at all costs. IMO

Her voice is much worse I think. It doesn't match what she looks like. She sounds so much older and I can't think of the right word but sort of nonchalant. I can't imagine her saying the words she texted in her messages to her friend Charlotte about the kind of sex they had. Yucky.

It was about catching him. When they left that room each time their adrenaline was pumping. But I think they're just consummate professionals. Determined to do their job well and get what they needed. Their cool demeanor was amazing to watch.

I think I did hear a bit of how the female investigator really felt, slip out though, when she talked about how the tiny room they were in was much more comfortable than where he was going to be spending the night.

I think she couldn't help herself from letting that tidbit sink in.

I'm going to have to let you all give me the highlights. I cannot listen to ONE. MORE. WORD from CW or NK . Their voices grate. If someone wanted to torture information out of someone, all they would have to do is play this audio.

I'm glad he wasn't, but how the heck was he in these interviews without a lawyer???????? He's describing how he killed Shanann and disposed of all the bodies and the idiot seriously didn't even ask to have a lawyer present? It seems like even the dumbest criminal ever would realize ya better lawyer up at that point. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he just kept telling lies, but I'm just blown away. And that his father didn't even intervene at the point he "confessed." I can't believe he said another word without insisting on an attorney at that point. Unreal.

That's probably where he got it from. Everything he says he seems to have picked up from the people around him. Imo

It's so clear they thought he was lying about putting them in the tanks.

I really think that had he not confessed, it would have taken them a number of days searching before they opened up those tanks. I have seen those hatches in pictures and I can absolutely see why they thought the girls would not be in there.

I can't believe how aggressive NK sounds. She is REALLY into where he is going to live and how much he should spend and if he should rent a house and what the housing market is like and what he should do with his money. This isn't some passive little wallflower. You would think if he was going to have an affair because his wife was such a controlling, bossy nag he would pick someone sweet and laidback. Does this chic even remotely sound like she would let him choose and hang a picture on the wall without permission??
