Her voice is much worse I think. It doesn't match what she looks like. She sounds so much older and I can't think of the right word but sort of nonchalant. I can't imagine her saying the words she texted in her messages to her friend Charlotte about the kind of sex they had. Yucky.

I'm totally grossed out after listening to her interview. Her voice, her controlling, aggressive attitude, etc. It's all on CW for the murders, but her calling CW a liar is like the pot calling the kettle black, IMO. Her story kept changing about his marital status throughout her interview.

She couldn't even keep her own lies straight about his marital status, and she says she was trying to encourage him to work things out with Shanann, but she continued to stoke the affair. Liar. JMO.

Control freak? She's seeing a married man with a pregnant wife and two little girls, and she's controlling what he eats, trying to find an apartment for him and telling him how to parent his daughters, and basically trying to insert herself in every way possible and she's sneaking over to the marital home at least twice - but acts pious about that? OMG.

I hope her dad took her straight to a shrink after that interview. I think she needs some serious help as I don't think she really gets anything other than how this has messed things up for her.

All JMO.

This is the guy who lied to the public and said CW didn't bury the girls with SW because of what she did to them. I have no use for him
You would expect to see someone who has just learned that his grandchildren were murdered fall apart at the seams or at the very least, show some kind of emotion. He just goes on to say, "Well, we'll find you a lawyer; see what we can do." o_O MOO

Well the first document drop seemed rather selective and editorial in what they reported about her. I haven't even begun to dig into all of this new stuff though.
I think that the have to release everything. Every note taken, every search taken.....
That is why their were so many duplicates from different agencies.

Maybe CW likes "take-charge" women -- please don't think I am equating Shanann with NK -- I'm not, in any way. But I got the impression that Shanann did all the work around the house and organized things, etc., etc.

I think CW was lazy and he was glad to let her do it. IMO he probably never challenged what she did -- and I think Shanann realized that if she didn't do what needed to be done, it wouldn't get done. Not bossy -- just wanting things to run well in the family and household -- the house clean and neat, healthy meals, clean clothes, taking time with the girls, fun things for the girls, family outings, good jobs -- all the things that make a happy family.
Yes, whether it was conscious or not, he seemed to seek women who were in some way like his mother. Assertive, powerful women who could take care of him. Yet he seems to hate his mother. What does that say about the way he sees women?

Still listening to the NK interview. Abt 1:47 in, how does NK NOT remember what she did on Sunday? That was only 4 days ago NK! o_O She recalled lots of other times from longer ago and recalled Saturday night in detail.

Nichol Kessinger Aug. 16 interview with investigators

ETA: She eventually remembers that CW took the kids to a water balloon fight at a birthday party and she went to a museum and then she either "chilled" at her house or cleaned her house...But it was like pulling teeth to get her day description. She can't remember what she did in the afternoon for sure-- she didn't see him. Saturday was the last day she saw him. Monday they "didn't talk much" and she clocked out of work at 3 PM.

I wish they would have sat him differently so his face was filmed. Watching that part of interview I can’t believe how calm he was. Seems like he even thought he was getting out of there. Truely sickening.

The room and chairs are set up intentionally. Having the POI’s back to the door is intentional. The POI will feel vulnerable whenever the door opens. Also, talking to him from behind, making him turn in the chair because natural instinct is to face who the person is talking to. The placement of the photo was good. Right in front of his father. Whenever he looked at his dad, he would also be looking at that photo.

I am surprised this is the only camera angle shown. In my experience, there are different small cameras in the room. You can listen and view the Interrogation from different angles. Usually a behavioral psychologist and another interrogator will watch and look for triggers, watch the body language, etc from a room where you can switch to different angles and listen to the audio. I have never done police interrogations, I imagine they would have access to better equipment than the environment I experienced.

This is the 2-hour video of the interview with the two detectives right after he failed the polygraph.

Asked what he is thinking about, he talks about how he has let everyone down...and goes down a long laundry list of people. He never mentions letting down SW, Bella, Celeste, nor Nico.

Inmate Watts is so full of carp. He tells his dad after the conversation in bed, he went downstairs and Shanann laid back down. ? Then we are to believe that she got up strangled both of the girls, so he strangled her, then carried her back to the bed again? WTH! o_O His story never made sense and still doesn't. What a moron. MOO
bbm
Inmate Watts :D
PommyMommy, you take the cake -- love it!
I hope he has to sleep with one eye open every night of his incarcerated life. He's a wimp, IMO, and he's about to find out just how big a wimp he actually is...

I keep thinking of his mom watching that video of CW and RW talking to each other and then the investigators. She probably believes if only she had been there, she would have done better and helped him get out of this.

Jmo.

NK is a hot mess. She & CW are a match made in hell? Purgatory? She definitely met her match in him. Had CW managed to successfully cover up the murders of Shannan, Nico, Bella, and Celeste, I believe once the shiny newness had been worn off NK she would be dead, too

When I first heard NK's voice, the way she talks, the words she uses, I immediately thought she sounded just like CW in his t.v. interviews. Then I realized, she doesn't sound like him, rather, he picked up her "lingo" and sounded just like she does! Anyone else notice that?
His stupidity is apparently contagious.

ETA: I read that wrong. I think he rubbed off on her.

She sounded like him in that interview, only not on his level.

She used far less “likes.”

I wonder if SW or any of the Rzucek family noticed any changes like these in the weeks leading up to the murders.

None of you have ever been so overwhelmed with shock, horror, emotion, confusion, fear, and disgust that your mind went blank? Never had a brain freeze? Momentary loss of memory? Lucky you!

It's odd isnt it? Out of all the people in the world these two find each other.

In my opinion. Good.
Again in my opinion, this woman, is seriously screwed up.
Let me put it this way.
Never, would she be a friend of mine.
That is all
Yes, I'm sure she had problems. Most people who have those kinds of relationships do. I wouldn't choose to be her friend either, but I'm not happy or think it's "good" that she will punish herself with guilt and shame for the rest of her life. I wouldn't wish that on anybody, it's just not satisfying to me. Well, except for maybe Chris Watts.
If we are to think it's so good that she is suffering then we may as say that about all the other millions who cheat. The only difference here is a family wound up dead. That doesn't mean she is to blame. Imo

I was thinking the same thing about the detectives. And a true narcissist is never to blame so it makes sense for him to think his manipulation would work and he would be off the hook. Thanks for posting this. Wow.

They focus on the victims. They stay calm because it matters to find the victims. You can sense when a confession is about to happen and you have to focus on staying calm, mirroring their body language, controlling your emotions. They did an excellent job. They provided a viable out...confessing to killing Shannon in rage first.
