She googled both. She googled both of them several times but the person trying to recover the searches with a particular date could not recover a few. The first recoverable google search was CW in August 2017.

I just edited one of my last posts to give the DISCOVERY PAGE number indicating that.
It says, “These entries were deleted but were recoverable.” Did LE recover them? Too bad they don’t show the text of what they found. For example it says on August 4, “Kessinger searched Google for Watts’ and Shanann’s Facebook account.” Did Kessinger click on the FB links and log into her FB account? Did she spend a considerable amount of time on Facebook stalking SW and CW? Doesn’t say.

In the United States, the definition of mistress is pretty much defined as somebody having sexual relations with somebody who's married.

Which he was.

Even if he was separated the contract of marriage is still not over ( which I found out over the top that she referred to marriage as a contract in her interview, so she would know better than anyone else that contractually she was defined as a mistress)

I’m in the US and I’d never call someone a mistress if they were having a relationship with a person who was separated. I’m talking about an actual separation where both spouses agree, live separately & are headed to divorce. Divorces can take a long time depending on many factors.

Based on personal experiences, I’d hesitate to start a relationship with someone who is separated, even recently divorced, because it’s a crazy, unstable time and there can be a lot of drama. But, each situation is different.

When the video shows him going down the driveway in the dark to get his truck to back in he is in his stocking feet, he does not have his work boots on but you do see them when he is leaving with them already in the truck.
Makes sense, the boots were the last things he put on.
I think he keeps a regular pair of shoes or slippers in his work truck for him to change into after work, and leaves his work boots in the truck. I can see Shanann wanted him to do that so he doesn't bring in oily dirt inside the house.

(hmm.. he was wearing his boots inside the home in 'oops we did it again' video. Maybe that was anomaly.)

LE collected two sets of work boots from his truck. (Discovery page 965 and 968)

@gitana1 can explain it better than I, but what I believe she had said before is they have to have damages. She was fired from her job very quickly. Before the evidence came out recently. Perhaps she would have to prove that the reason she was fired was because of those statements? Statements that were false? And I believe that she was fired within a week if I recall correctly.

During that time, mainstream media did not publish her name, nor did we here at this site. So I don't think that anything that many said about her gave her damages to sue to result in her firing.

If she is going to after-the-fact damages after she was fired that she cannot get rehired, how could they differentiate the libel damages from her name being out there from the attorney's office and the Freedom of Information Act versus what was said on the internet?
First, we know that NK is not friends with the truth. The statement by NK that she was terminated or fired is probably because NK believes it would draw her more sympathy. In O&G business, it's not unusual for the contracts between the principal and supplier to include staff substitution clauses for the mutual benefit of both parties. If the client (Anadarko) requested a staff change (which I believe was the case here), NK's former employer would simply be required to present another individual with NK's skill set for Anadarko's approval. Just the same, if NK's employer secured another contract in let's say North Dakota, and decided that they needed NK on the new contract to fill out the team they'd assembled, then they'd be free to substitute a qualified individual to replace her on the Anadarko project without penalty. Also, if NK's employer did not have another project to send NK to after she was removed from Anadarko at clients request, she most likely would be layed off. You are not kept on board if you are not billable to a project -- that's just the way the industry works. Also, Colorado is an "employment at will state," and for the reasons explained above, I don't think NK would have a successful claim for wrongful termination. MOO

Another sign of premeditation: he asked to move the gender reveal. He scheduled it for Monday. He knew it was never going to happen. He knew he never wanted NK to find out SW was pregnant. He definitely started planning ahead of time, even though it was half-baked.

Yes! I have been wanting to mention that. I also think it interesting SW texted her friends and told them the baby was a boy and his name was going to be Niko Lee but said do not tell anyone or post it on social media because CW wants to do it Monday. There has been a lot of speculation about the name Niko Lee being CW's choice because of NK's name. I think this was a sick joke on SW in his mind-- He thought no one would ever be told that baby name. He could laugh at SW's expense for agreeing to name the baby after his mistress and no one would ever know! It's sheer evil. CW didn't think SW would tell her friends. But she did because she really wasn't trusting CW's actions and wanted to celebrate a happy moment. She may have been doubting the Monday gender reveal would happen due to the erratic way CW had been acting and figured no sense in keeping the name a secret.

I hope there aren’t too many of these people either but it is both fascinating and terrifying to imagine. What bothers me most is the thought that CW seemingly changed over the course of a few weeks. How is that possible? Are we all just sitting ducks at the mercy of our significant others’ potential psychosis?? Are any of us really safe from a change of heart by our loved ones??

I realize this sounds neurotic on my part, but I can’t help but wonder about the men I know who share similar traits to CW: quiet, introverted, inexpressive and with domineering mothers. It’s enough to make you sleep with one eye open...or with plenty of Xanax.

Right? I remember telling my ex, "Listen, just don't murder me. You want out just leave!!!" Ha ha!

My ex wasn't an emotionless shadow person though. But does have a super crazy mother!!!

Do you really think it is realistic that she did not continue on to her FB page?

I also remember from one of his porch interviews that he said after he’d gotten the police call he sped home from work, running through red lights/stop signs, etc. I bet he did!!! Maybe he prioritized the damning evidence he’d have to get rid of immediately, so he ran down the stairs to the basement first, and then up to the master bedroom... Doh... I gotta believe at least a small part of him knew he was dead man walking at that point...
If not then, he certainly did when he heard the dogs searching the house. The spooked reaction he gave is priceless.

I didn’t interpret it as SW being needy, IMO she was vulnerable as she was ill, and not long divorced. She said herself in one of her videos that she pushed him away at first. She was vulnerable, the perfect target for a predator like him. How dare he do this to her after he’s the one who pursued her.

That's how it usually goes.

I don’t know. I’d like to see proof, and I don’t understand why it isn’t provided. It would look much worse for SW if they did.

In thinking about CW and SW getting married- and his complicated and bizarre emotional configuration - I wonder why he went ahead and married SW even though his family clearly didn't want him to. Given what we've been discussing in terms of all of things that may have been a factor in his "emotional demise" (for lack of a better term), it seems like he would have been really scared to go against his mother. Any psychologist (or otherwise) thoughts on what would make him take that leap? Was it a just a brief attempt at finally asserting himself? And then perhaps he came to regret his assertiveness and he started to stew, etc?

I think he married SW because he was not married, lived with his parents, and had no GF. And she was pretty, vivacious and independent.

I think independent is a better word than strong. Both SW and NK were pretty much able to live alone. CW never lived alone. There were his parents and SW. And he hoped for a life with NK.

Actually, I think, had he lived alone for a while, he'd stop being afraid of loneliness. Maybe even cherish it. There was too much noise around him, both SW and NK seemed to have been noisy, each in own way. His mom comes across as pretty loud.

What about the razorblades that were allegedly laying around?? That seems pretty sadistic and intentional. Cindy hated SW and used the kids as a tool to hurt SW even if it meant costing her grandkids a trip to the ER or worse.

It seems Cindy enjoyed playing mind games with SW and the girls. She enjoyed getting a rise of out SW and then played innocent. "See... I'm not the crazy one, Shanann is! She's overreacting again!"
I have no doubt, Cindy would hate any partner CW chose to be with. No one is good enough for precious CW as Mother Watts is.

Do we think there were literally razor blades lying around Cindy and Ronnie's house? The way Sandy wrote it I can't tell if she really meant they left razor blades lying around or if she was using that as an analogy for Cece's nut allergy-- There's an idea that leaving nuts all around the house with allergic toddlers is equivalent to leaving razor blades out and letting the 2 year old play with them. It's a dangerous game to play. And even people who don't understand food allergies should understand that you don't leave sharp blades out for toddlers to get a hold of. Then again, the Watt's family interviews were so... out there. I can see them actually leaving razor blades around the house. But I'm baffled on why they would do that since razor blades would be a danger to Jamie's kids too, no? :confused:o_O

I think the ones that were recoverable were quoted but the others not. Looks like she also conducted specific Facebook searches on other occasions that were separate from the google searches? But I'm not totally sure.

What would be the point in searching for it if not to look at it?

Yes there is footage of the arrest and when they got to the jail.

Yes, but that video does not include the part where he is presumably told he is under arrest and put into the handcuffs. It starts with him in handcuffs. That's what I was responding to - the rest of the video BEFORE those moments was surely captured and included in the 3TB dump, but hasn't been released (AFAIK) by any media outlet with access yet. IF you have seen that part, please direct me to it, thanks!

From what I can gather, this was an initial analysis of the material prepared to show the scope and type of information they found. As the DA's office would prepare for the trial, they would likely ask for more details about parts that were relevant to their theory and questioning. Since there will be no trial, I doubt we will ever see that further information - there is no need for further analysis at this point. Which is kind of a bummer, as I'm nosy and would like to know, too!

Maybe because I learned British English, to me a mistress is the side relationship of a rich man who can afford it - he has a family and "a mistress" on the side, sometimes another family, too. Sounds like CW could not afford own family, lol. But whatever, if NK wants to be called "a mistress", so be it. There are many other words, "a paramour", a "lover", a "sidekick", a "love interest", even "a girlfriend". Recently I heard a "squeeze". Whatever.

She was controlling his diet, telling him where he should live, trying to find him an apartment and was telling him how he should parent his daughters.

She was also over at the marital home at least twice - once walking right through the front door, not sneaking through the back door. That takes some chuzpah, IMO. It stands to reason to me that she would also be carefully monitoring both of their facebook pages and any other social media that she could.

Did LE check her work computer? Maybe she was investing a lot of time at work monitoring social media, doing google searches, etc. That might also help explain the loss of the contract that resulted in her rather immediate termination - being preoccupied and lack of performance. People who live in la la land tend to perform poorly at work and they also make lots of mistakes.

All JMO.

Thanks, @Tricia ! Sorry for the delayed response, I was decorating the house for Christmas today, and the 8 ft. tree took more time than I expected! As I was decorating it, though, I couldn't help but think of Bella and Cece, and how they would and should be decorating a Christmas tree with all their favorite ornaments right about now. What an absolutely unnecessary, evil waste of life.

As Tricia mentioned, I've been here for several years, but usually have been a lurker, until the Watts case. I tried to not insert myself too much into the legal stuff that came up (but sometimes couldn't help it!) but I finally figured I should just get verified so I can try to help answer any questions.

A bit of background...after undergrad, I got a Masters in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Criminal Behavior Analysis, so I have some in-depth understanding in that area. I also spent a few years working as a case manager at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and several of my cases were/are featured on Websleuths...that's how I first came across this site.

My area of legal practice is actually criminal prosecution...all my experience is in the DA's Office. I practice in California. I'm happy to do what I can to help. :)
Thanks for getting verified and lending your expertise!! And if your finished with your tree, I could use some help. :D

In the pre-polygraph interview CW talks a bit about his life after high school and pre-SW. He stated that he moved out when he started NASCAR tech school and never lived with his parents again. I don't know if lived completely alone or if he had roommates, but he did not live with his parents when he started dating SW. That doesn't mean his family didn't feel like SW ripped CW from them, but he did live independently after high school. He specifically talks about his Dad having problems with alcohol at that time and CW suspects it is because he didn't come back home like his sister did. That his parents probably expected him to need them like Jamie and they (particularly his Dad) were sad about that.
