Chris said something in one of his interviews about Shanann being accused of stealing a lot of money from her old boss. Then goes on to say that they are good friends. Maybe his family accused her of that before they got married, looking for a reason to hate her and convince him not to marry him. Imo
That was odd. I recall reading that and was surprised he didn’t defend Shanann when relaying the story. Like how he knows the story was not true, she has a lot of character and wouldn’t do that. Etc

I didn’t know if could do it in a way where he could clear the area
I highly doubt he was planning to blow up the tanks. His family goes missing and then the tanks at his work site explode? Even Chris isn't that dumb. He likely would have been killed himself. He would at least know that much. Imo

Just below the photo in your attachment is the Meta Data, which lists the latitude and longitude of the location where the photo was taken. As well as a note about the general location near Roggin, CO. I put the lat & longitude into a map and it goes to an oil well site. But from aerial view the site where the pic was taken looks different than the burial site. At the burial site the tanks are near the entrance road. At the 'sunflower pic' site the tanks are much further away from the entrance road. Maybe this was the second site mentioned that he went to that day? This is the latitude and longitude from the photo's Meta Data if you want to copy and paste it into a map, then choose aerial/satellite view: 40.1955.14 -104.344917

ETA: having computer troubles otherwise I'd include screenshots

I sure hope it is not the same site! Thank you for that info! Still just a ridiculous thing to send NK in light of what he had just done.

He wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to make her look bad. Just like the rest of his family was doing. Imo

In the discovery we found out that he told his family that he had finally come around to their way of thinking about Shanann and was divorcing her.
This was because he had already made the decision to murder his family and thought they would back up his evil idiotic plan.
His spiteful family was thrilled when they thought he was going to leave his pregnant wife and little girls.
His fans/family are still repeating those same lies about Shanann, thinking people are going to believe them, just like the stupid monster thought people would believe his plan to make people think that his shady wife took his beloved daughters, never to be seen again.

This is hard to say but I think he might have planned on burning them but when smoke is spotted anywhere in Colorado it is reported quickly because of fire danger. Even out in Roggins it would have been spotted miles away.

That would explain the red gas can but then he obviously changed his mind...

He may have thought he would start a fire and grabbed gas tanks but when he got their he forgot SW wouldn’t fit. No other explaination as to why he had gas cans, unless maybe he was going to just keep driving and wanted Extra gas?

At first, upon seeing the driveway video and him with the gas can, I thought maybe he was dousing the bodies in his truck bed with the gasoline. But I guess that might be too strong. Then I thought maybe he was just taking extra gasoline in case he had to drive further than expected and thought he could get stuck or run out of gas. Maybe he always takes extra gasoline. Who knows. Would be worth the investigators asking.

Except CW's account of alleged embezzlement was followed with him also stating that SW and her ex-boss remained very good friends, and how her ex-boss was making global posts promoting search and locate SW. Perhaps this was CW's odd way of discounting the embezzlement rumor.

Could someone please tell me which clip has the moment when he freaks out that LE might tell co-workers where he put the bodies of his family? I have watched a lot of footage (too much :( but somehow missed that. Thank you. I am just curious to see him actually showing a feeling other than very anxious to please.
He suddenly acts shocked and stunned that LE would think such a thing. He adamantly exclaims, " No, no, no, God no!" I don't recall the number but it's right after he had talked to his dad and they were asking him where the bodies were and if he was telling the truth. Maybe its 5 or 6? I'm sure someone will post it.

Not to forget he googled the lyrics to Battery by Metallica at 10.10am the morning he murdered and disposed of his beautiful family. DP2122

“Smashing through the boundaries.....Lunacy has found me........pounding out aggression turns into obsession.....cannot kill the family......”

Lunacy has indeed found you Inmate Watts....total madness. You will go down in history as one of the worst family annihilators.

As far as the gas cans go, I’d have to know that it was unusual for him to have those with him.

I can’t think of a reason why it would be normal for him to have gas cans, but there may be something that we don’t know.

I thought him having a shovel would have been odd, but we came to find out that he always had it with him.

Maybe the same is true for the gas cans.

This idiot does not think things through, at all. It blows my mind how little foresight this man has.

He tells LE that he was at the Rockies game and gives them the names of the coworkers, that DID NOT attend the game with him. Did he think the cops weren't going to talk to those guys? I don't get it.
He's an idiot, for one. He's a sociopath, for two. He's a Narcissist, for three -- he thinks, as so many Narcissists do, that he is the smartest one in the room, especially with those dumb LE folks, you know. He knows he can say about anything and he'll be able to back it up, but the dumb LE doesn't confront him, so they're buying it. Of course, LE is letting him dig his own hole. Then they come back and ask, "How do you explain this?" and "How do you explain that?" and "You said you had done ~whatever~ this morning, but this afternoon you said you had not done ~whatever~, so which is it?" and "What about so-and-so?" Then his smoothness and glibness wear off a bit, and he probably starts to sweat a little. And then, Humpty Dumbty has a great fall into the LE net. We see it every time. Some are better than others, and CW is not top-notch, IMO.

Although he didn't exactly defend her, he was dismissive about it, as though he really didn't know. Jmo

I remember he said he loaded everything in his truck like he normally did, but don't recall what he said about the gas cans or if they asked him about it. Jmo

ETA: Best part of this video is right at the end. Chris in handcuffs!
[/QUOTE]

In this video he is pulling up in the truck and it sounds like a diesel if that is the noise I hear And maybe the company does allow them to carry extra fuel but I doubt it as they would fill up before starting out on their runs.

I watched a video a psychologist discussing CW (thank you @Jessthinkin). Her opinion is the same as many on here. CW was probably a habitual cheater, he never thought about leaving til he met someone that he wanted more than Shanann. Her 5 week absence let him try out life with the new girl. He was undecided til he went to NC, being with Shanann and the girls did not change his mind, he decides he wants them gone, he starts to play nice to get her guard down.

What I found most interesting was her theory that the gas can and rope were going to be used to blow up the tanks. He puts Bella in first, realizes the tank is almost empty, so he decides to put CeCe in the other tank hoping it will be more full- why they are in separate tanks. Co workers show up or something keeps him from being able to ignite the tanks.

Glad you like her videos... they have really helped me understand the ‘why’ of a lot of the W family”s disordered thoughts and actions...

IIRC he reacted when LE asked him if he put the girls in the tanks alive.

I know it is expected to find family dysfunction for perps like CW and SP, gitana 1 nailed exactly what his enmeshment would be with his mother long before the Watts so vocally showed the world their lovely personalities. His sister appears to follow right in Moma Watts footsteps. Chris has zero ability to navigate on his own, making unbelievable statements and actions revealing his guilt like a 4 year old. I’ve commented before that if someone presented this as fiction it would seem ludicrous. Now add in the quirky, deceptive, blathering mistress who says her “charms” accelerated his plan it gets even more unbelievable and strange. Juxtapose those cast of characters with Shansnn and her family and it is as if two different worlds collided.
