Unfortunately for her and not by her choice she is involved in a quadruple homicide. If this had gone to trial they most likely would be part of it. I am not aware though of any trial where salacious photos were openly shown to the public. The pictures have not been released, it is unwarranted at this point to accuse the police of not protecting her privacy.

This is off topic, but when NK texted those pictures to CW, there was no guarantee that he would protect those pictures for his eyes only. He could have sent them to many others. It's not a very smart thing to do, JMO.

Exactly, they were out of her control at that point. It is very risky behavior to send nude pics to a married new fling of “2 months”, she was willing to take the risk.

The sheet was found above ground. It had dirt on it, as he wrapped Shanann in that sheet and apparently dragged it across the ground when he was transporting her body to what would ultimately be a shallow grave.

There is no evidence that it contained blood, per discovery.

The autopsy didn’t show any wounds to her body that would have caused bleeding either.

It was just a sensationalist take, by a tabloid rag.

The sheet accompanying her clothing and placed in the evidence locker is not the same patterened one found at the scene. It was the clean white one placed under her recovered body by the agent and coroner. Again, not saying the tabloid is completely accurate, just saying there are two separate sheets. MOO.

He did not leave for the airport until after his son was admitting that he had killed them.

We know that because it was the public defender that called him.

That was stated.

They do not give you a lawyer through Miranda rights until after you are arrested. That stuff about you have a right to a lawyer if you can't afford a lawyer we will supply one... That is only after you are arrested that that comes into play.

So he was leaving town after his son was arrested, and had admitted that he had killed his wife and they were no longer missing, and got a public defender that called the father on his way to the airport..

But I think he could have just stopped answering or left the police station, is that correct? And at that point, LE would have to make a decision whether they had enough to make an arrest or not. I noticed super agent Tammy kept reassuring him that he was free to leave at any time, the door had to be closed and had a key in it, but that's just to keep out outside noises, that even if he had all the polygraph equipment on and *felt* like he couldn't leave, he of course could. Just please let her know so she could have her $6000 equipment back first please! Ha, I heart her.

But I know in reality, one tactic for these questioning sessions is to make the suspect feel as comfortable as possible, to get them to keep talking and obtain a confession before they lawyer up. So everything is easy breezy, are you hungry, thirsty, apologetic for keeping them there so long, you can leave at any time. But all that matters is that the suspect THINKS they are free to leave. If they were actually to get up and try to walk out, the DA has to make the decision on whether they have enough to arrest them. And they try to hold out as long as possible to keep getting more information. And that fine balance of not wanting to "spook" the suspect where they feel too much under suspicion and bolt. It's extra tricky when the suspect is pretending to be concerned, has nothing to hide, and has to appear open, cooperative, and willing to be quickly ruled out so the detectives can focus on "the real killer."

I sat and watched all CW interrogation videos yesterday. Hours of listening to his nonsense made me so sad and gave me anxiety when I went to bed.

I don't know how those agents sat there with him, poured over all the photos and evidence. It's heartbreaking from the outside, I can't imagine being in the thick of it. And as soon as they're done with CW they have to go do another depressing case.

Well, one question is, if there were very private photos, how could one be sure they would not end up in public domain?

This is something that I would like to know. If she were more helpful...would the police protect her privacy more?

Because - much as she is not likable - there is no law against making private photos, sending nudes. And yet later it might spoil someone's life. Not only now. Imagine her getting married and have kids. And their young mom's nudes are in public domain?

I don’t disagree with you on this. A very close friend of mine has actively worked to pass Revenge Laws in multiple states and other countries. Women should not be punished socially or economically when private photos have been shared without their permission. I think the photo could have been blacked out a little. I’m not sure what’s allowed to be redacted under FOIA but it seems like her pics should have at least been considered. IMO we’d still get a full picture of the relationship

ETA: We’re in a different time. I had a sex tape once and it got stuck in the VCR so I pulled out the tape and crushed the case. Yep, I’m old as dirt lol

Anything that is discovered in the course of an investigation is part of a public record at the conclusion of the investigation. State laws vary about what, specifically, has to be released and to whom. I would recommend anyone who is concerned about information becoming public work with an attorney if they're ever involved in a murder investigation.

It seriously was not a racy picture. She was in a bathroom in a swimsuit in a pose with her hip jutting out. I am confident it was one of the least racy pictures they could include as an exemplar.

I totally agree!!! Thank God there are people in leo that can do this! It’s just haunting. And to be able to sit there and be nice to him when you know what all he has done- well not all but enough. Man I couldn’t do it!

I see this, and I can’t forget about it, nor I can not pretend that I didn’t see it. For me it reads as the opposite of what Rourke said about NK at the Press Conference. Both can’t be true. From Discovery Page 1926 “A two day investigation revealed Watts was involved in an affair with Nicole Kessinger (DOB ) which he had denied in previous interviews. The affair was only discovered after Kessinger contacted your affiant stating she had information regarding this investigation. In an interview with investigators (08/15/18) Kessinger disclosed she had been romantically involved with Watts and the relationship began around June of 2018.”

JMO, Rourke made his feelings about NK quite clear in the press conference.

I think he married SW because he was not married, lived with his parents, and had no GF. And she was pretty, vivacious and independent.

I think independent is a better word than strong. Both SW and NK were pretty much able to live alone. CW never lived alone. There were his parents and SW. And he hoped for a life with NK.

Actually, I think, had he lived alone for a while, he'd stop being afraid of loneliness. Maybe even cherish it. There was too much noise around him, both SW and NK seemed to have been noisy, each in own way. His mom comes across as pretty loud.

He moved out at 17 and never moved back tho.

I call BS that she didn't enter the bedrooms. What was she doing in the loft - what was she doing in the house to begin with? That is kind of stalker-like if you ask me, gaining an advantage over Shanann by being in Shanann's home, and eating Shanann's food at Shanann's dinner table.

Yes, but that video does not include the part where he is presumably told he is under arrest and put into the handcuffs. It starts with him in handcuffs. That's what I was responding to - the rest of the video BEFORE those moments was surely captured and included in the 3TB dump, but hasn't been released (AFAIK) by any media outlet with access yet. IF you have seen that part, please direct me to it, thanks!



From what I can gather, this was an initial analysis of the material prepared to show the scope and type of information they found. As the DA's office would prepare for the trial, they would likely ask for more details about parts that were relevant to their theory and questioning. Since there will be no trial, I doubt we will ever see that further information - there is no need for further analysis at this point. Which is kind of a bummer, as I'm nosy and would like to know, too!

It has been released because I saw it. They put cuffs on him in the interrogation room and walk him to the car.

It goes to motive. That bathroom pic shows us what she was offering him and what was motivating him to rid himself of his burdensome family.
