I think so too. I did not realize until reading the quoted post that the doll picture was so close in time to the deaths.

I agree with you that he had no intention of following through on any of those empty promises. And that makes me think he was planning the murder,of at least his wife, as early as Aug 9th.

Wow! That neighbor picked up on him immediately. CW didn't even give it the old college try to look at the videos and try to see if any cars had driven by or footage of SW "leaving." All he did was ramble multiple times why he was loading up his truck. And look so, so guilty.

yep, I kept thinking if someone had video of my place, the street, anything ....if my family went missing, I would be glued to that screen looking for anything that might help.

The doll picture to Shanann on the 9th August, the prairie flowers picture to NK the day he murdered his whole family. He definitely had a scary way of communicating what he was going to do. Why would he even send those 2 major clues? He basically showed how he would kill the girls, and where he would bury someone.

That doesn't look remotely like CW to me. Plus, it does not match the two outfits we saw him wearing on the day of the murder, nor anything that he has ever been seen wearing. I've seen lots of photos and videos of Inmate Watts and never seen him in that color shirt nor wearing a hat like that. Plus, where are his arm tattoos? Seems like a gas station clerk wanted to make a few bucks from DM and sold this video to them claiming it was CW. JMO.

ETA: And IIRC CW claimed he had his usual Thrive breakfast shake at home the morning of the murders.

I’m slowly listening to the NK interview. The part where she cries about the girls, it’s so very odd. Her tone of voice goes suuuper high when she talks about how little they were, it’s exactly the same tone she used in the beginning about CW being sooo cute by being a dad. It set off all kinds of red flags. The crying was mostly high pitched fake moans, to which the DA was unmoved and asked her if she wanted to step out. And she says no and pretty much continues going on about herself - this is so hard on me what’s going to happen to me I won't be able to go into public the public won’t understand that this happened to me oh woe is me what will happen to me. Vomit.

And then she “can’t remember “ the day of the murders which was only couple of days before. Uh huh. Sure, Jan.

It is so contrived. She is so cold about Shannan. She is literally forced by the DA to say her name, and does so with so much distaste. The rest of the time she says “his wife”. She blames everything on Shannan - she took all of CWs money, ignored him, only cared about her phone, kept him from his parents, didn’t tell him about Nutgate. For Shannans job NK says something like “I don’t even know what you’d call that.” And that her house was too nice and had too many nice things in it and she couldn’t have afforded that how, she was obviously living abover her means. NK hated Shannan, even as she was dead in a morgue somewhere. No concern for her, just cold dislike. It’s horrible.

The whole thing is so off, it really seems like NK may have sociopathic tendencies herself.

I totally agree. I even had to turn down the speaker because her voice made my skin crawl.

I don't think it was necessarily someone giving the video for money? It may have just been turned over to the DA's office because of a resemblance/possible sighting of CW. I think DM got the video as part of the discovery records - not from the gas station.

That was so so eerie that at one point he put it on pause and it went back to normal programming, and what did we see?

We saw a baby in utero and then a skull. Whoa. Karma.

I also saw that he was texting at this time. I wonder who he was texting at 20:39 hours on the 13th. ( the time for the Axiom camera is shown on screen)

And his body language, it looks like he was getting ready to have the Cuffs slapped on him when he put his arms on top of his head.

Aug 9 (Thursday) that we are postulating he was openly showing signs that he was chosing to “fix his problem” by removing his family.

What was going on with NK and CW that week or that prior weekend?

Did NK say anything about their plans for the upcoming weekend of Aug 11-12? Or about the timeframe AFTER Monday Aug 13?

Do we have any LE evidence of texts between them around that time?

She plays all innocent victim. She said Shannan's name with such venom in her interview with detectives.
I'm not saying she helped him kill Shannan, Cece,Bella,and Niko, but I believe she's far more aware than she let's on.

CW and NK went camping for a weekend in Great Sand Dunes park. If he texted, or answered texts or calls from SW, why could she not see his different location? Or, if he had turned off his location, you'd think she would have noticed that.

Didn't he ignore her most of the time and then made up something about going for a hike alone? And then he told her he was too tired to talk and that he fell asleep early. SW was obviously annoyed at his excuses for not texting her or calling her and at one point replied something like "sorry you are tired out from having fun while I'm taking care of our kids and pregnant/sick" (my paraphrase as I don't recall her exact words-- She really let him know how miffed she was though).

This used to make me angry. Now I'm just downright scared that there are all of these women out there who clearly need professional help. (And I sincerely hope they get it!)

Another letter is from a supporter who says her church is “praying” for Watts, and that she believes the Thrive patch — a weight loss/nutrition product that Shanann Watts sold as a multi-level marketer — could be to blame for what happened.

And Watts also received multiple Facebook photos from a woman in Ohio who wrote him a letter that reads a bit like a personal ad. She promised Watts that she didn’t want to talk about his case and that she would never lie to him.

At your own risk of having your mind turn to mush. She goes on and on and on, every now and then addressing the case. She is the calmer one of ex-MRS, IMO, and does believe that CW "did it all", as opposed to the other half of the MRS duo who was always ragging on SW. She and guests liberally sprinkle all those cuss words that we can't use here, like teenagers who just discovered the freedom of cussing as a college freshmen, away from family.

ETA: if both this podcast and the exMRS have gotten a hold of discovery items: Lest we forget that they spread the false autopsy info on SW in the first place.

Yeah, I haven't looked at anything they have to say but I don't think we can trust whatever they put out will be the actual docs. Didn't one of our members here also apply to get the docs? Hopefully we can get them from a trusted source and not depend on those (ex)pod people. JMO.

I forget who posted here about this, but now that we know she used fertility drugs for the first two pregnancies and they weren't using anything this time, I don't think CW thought she would actually get pregnant.

They were using his sister Jamie's period tracker (or whatever it's called) though - per CW. That may have helped. Interesting that CW's mother claimed Nico wasn't wanted in light of that information. Surely she knew that her daughter was helping with the tracker? No? MOO

Re: NK’s interview and her tone in discussing Shannan.

I think demonizing the Wife in an affair is probably pretty common for the AP.

The cheater goes on and on about how horrible the wife is to him, a littany of her “abuse”.

Then it takes the onus off of the AP because she isn’t the deceiptful abusive person, it’s the Evil Wife. And NK gets to be consoler, the support.

She’s openly displaying her inner guilt over this affair.
