I agree with NK's phone records looking suspect, but I still feel that if there was something to it then the DA would've gone after her as well. It's like the sexual assault speculations. If there had been signs of that, those charges would've been added. Rourke didn't act like he messed around.
I think so too. They were particularly emotional and invested in this case. If anyone else had anything to do with the murder in any way, no way would they let that slide. I believe they felt way too much respect for her family and getting justice for them. Imo

It gives us a great feeling watching those videos and seeing all the people who contributed to the investigation. It's like watching a movie when the heroes come in and save the day and you just want to jump up and clap. Imo
I just want to give NUA a big hug.

Agree, his decision to murder was not a decision made because of her perceived treatment of him that others went so crazy discussing. Normal people don’t have that button to push or switch to flip. IDK how those people who still argue that can look at all these videos and his total lack of grief for his children and think this was about the dynamics between him and Shanann

I think it mostly plays into people's fears about it happening to them. It's difficult to wrap your head around the idea that a seemingly normal person with no discernible signs could one day just take out their whole family. You look at SW who's the epitome of a Pinterest-perfect mother and wife and it's scary. (Heck, I've been side-eyeing my husband for weeks now. :-) ) Some people can't wrap their heads around the idea of a FA so they need a "reason"-something they can understand. Finding a way of blaming SW (even if it's not an outright blame) is a way of assuring themselves that it won't happen to THEM.

With a FA situation, though, it's never about the victim. If the annihilator gets it in their head that they no longer need their family anymore, and therefore want them gone, then that's pretty much it. She could have come home and argued with him, she could have come home and made him his favorite snack, or she could have come home and gone straight to bed. In the end, the outcome would've been the same if he'd already decided ahead of time.

Ha! Or Southwest's "Wanna Get Away"
He was probably wishing he had his quicker picker uppers to clean up his mess for him.

Hello. You can probably do a lot better than me. I'm still learning. Been here since 2016.

I'm sure she knew exactly when Fathers Day was. She seemed pretty close to her own dad. The fact that he may have been in the basement and that there no sheets on the bed may have been a clue as to what the order of events was that night. I think that's why she mentioned it. She said him saying the sheets were smelly and he had to wash them at that time is what doesn't add up, to me, as well as him just "staring" at her. What was he doing or thinking at that time?

The kids smelly sheets comment has ALWAYS bothered me. Once my kiddo was eating solid food and no longer spitting up (which Bella and Cece clearly were past), she's never had smelly sheets - beyond an occasional accident during potty training (and we know Cece wore a pull up at night). And those sheets weren't smelly, they were wet and immediately changed to dry. There's just no reason for THAT to be the reason to change the sheets. Just such a strange lie that jumped out at me.

Did CW think the tree/bush would block the neighbors/camera view of his front yard?

No, he thought the bed of his truck would block the view. And it did a pretty good job. At trial, this could've been a point of reasonable doubt, IMO.

That poor neighbor was so freaked out at the way CW was acting! I think he realized right then and there what CW had done. I would have passed right out from the stress...imagine having that 🤬🤬🤬 in your living room!

I wanted that guy to just haul off and punch CW. I wonder what the conversation was when he returned to his house and spoke with his wife.

I agree with you both. He was look at the cop like "why aren't you arresting him!"

It seems FA’s come out of nowhere. It sure would be nice if someone invented a Freak Meter Reader.

I think this case has caused a lot of us to side-eye our husbands. It's all so unfathomable.

I agree - but from her bill, she made a call from Frederick very early on the morning of the 13th and apparently it was to her good buddy Jim, who was staying at her house. This is the same Jim that she had an absolute cow over in the interview because she claimed he knew nothing and she didn't want him to be dragged into it.

Sorry, but that rings as true to me as a tin horn. Her married boyfriend's pregnant wife and children had just gone missing and within a day, NK claimed she became suspicious. And she's interacting with her house guest as if nothing is wrong at all? I'm not sure how a person does that.

Very strange, IMO.

Wilsohdh/Dave~I so agree about his late night chat with NK possibly influencing CW. It’s possible NK was more than concerned CW would reunite with his wife (by NK assumed they were estranged, merely living in same house), she may have suggested she would visit or call SW.
IMO, had he not murdered S, he was up a deep creek. It would have only been a matter of time before NK showed up at the house, I think. She seems the type (to me) that would want to verify what CW was telling her, would want to piss SW off and so forth. She had to wonder about the baby, despite CW claiming to not be the father.
We all interpret things differently. In most of the videos I’ve watched CW seemed less than happy. A couple of times SW mentioned the kids misbehaving and stated “I could strangle them”. I pondered if CW thought he might get away with strangulation/suffocation because of this.

I agree. The kids hadn't even been there for 6 weeks. They'd only been back for a few days. My kids will run around, sweat, play outside, etc and then sleep in their sheets and they don't get "smelly" for several days (unless something bad happens, like an accident or they're sick). I fully believe that SW wouldn't have left them with "smelly sheets", she would've changed them before she left for AZ, so how did they get so bad in just 2 days? That part doesn't make sense to me, either. (I mean, it makes sense in that he was probably trying to clean away any scents they emitted after death. It doesn't make sense in the way he was trying to explain it. But then, few things do.)

Me too, and after this case, I'm not in any rush to change that any time soon.

Here's NK's Verizon bill. I copied this from Thinker Belle's post on the phone call. Investigators have an answer for this, I'm sure, but I'd really like to know what she was doing in Frederick so early that morning.

So it's her fault no matter what.

Exactly what I have been wondering and was not sure I missed that on here somewhere. She would not have to pass through Frederick from where she lived to get to work?
Really none of this matters now, he plead out but guess it is just another part of the puzzle.

I understand how you feel. This case is by far the worst I’ve ever followed. I know we don’t know for sure but I’ve tried to imagine his thinking and the scenario many times. With Shanann arriving late, it had to throw a wrench into his plans, timewise at least. He may have been anxious to get started and/or concerned that the girls might wake up and witness him murdering their mother. I don’t know, only he does. It’s just a horrendous case that makes no sense at all.
Sociopaths don't make sense. I lived with one long enough to figure out to stop, stop trying to figure him out, stop trying to understand. Just stop. There is nothing anyone can do,or not do.
I'm just greatful I got out alive, our kids too.
Maybe why this case has gotten to me so much.
My heart breaks for Shannan, Bella,Cece, and Niko, and there loved ones.
I fell such sorrow for the ones who don't make it out alive, and the people who disparage Shannan really bother me.
It's so hard to not let fly.
