I'm with you. I think it entirely possible to subdue someone from behind in a way that doesn't result in defensive wounds on either party. If Chris was intent on killing SW, he might have simply waited until she collapsed into bed (tired from the travel) and grabbed her neck from behind. I'm assuming he was actually 'sleeping' in the master bed (only occasionally 'sleeping' in the basement, as he has apparently indicated). When pregnant, it is best to lay on your side when sleeping (my wife just went through a pregnancy), so she could have presented an easy target for a rear approach. If he attacked her in her sleep, she probably would not have put up much of a fight before being rendered unconscious. It only takes about 10 seconds to put a person under. Then of course you have to keep choking until the victim is dead. Horrible to consider, but I would say plausible....
I was just looking at a study about ' chokeholds' and a person can be rendered unconciousness in an average of 9 secs. The people tested were all volunteers and were all expecting the hold - imagine if you were deeply asleep and you were pinned down. Before you even got chance to wiggle free you'd be out....

There was a recent bad stabbing at medium Allenwood and an officer got hurt. Not sure if it is related or not?

I think I read on here someone posted that NK was hired by two different agencies so she worked at Anadarko for the first agency then when she was hired by the second agency, she worked for Anadarko a second time. I’m not sure of the dates that she first started working there with the first agency though.

Sorry to turn back to the topic of NK for a moment, (don’t turn the car around, Tricia!) My guess is that she could have worked at Anadarko as a contractor previously for Company A, was placed elsewhere or here contract ended, had a time-out from Anadarko for X number of months due to a non-compete stipulation in her contract with Company A, then started up at Anadarko again with Company B after waiting out the non-compete time limit. JMO

CO is an At-Will Employment state, but consulting companies are known to enforce their non-compete clauses when it comes to lucrative repeat business and / or niche industries where you would not want to be black-listed in your niche. (I have direct knowledge of non-compete agreements for independant contractors here in CO, but not specific to the gas and oil industry.)

MOO!

Who knows why? I am pretty sure the investigators were not just making that up though.
Did they say she had been there for a year? Maybe she was just contracted by the other company for four months but at Anadarko for a year? I have no idea how that works. Wouldn't the other company have found her the job there? I forgot the name of it. I know it starts with a "t."

I've seen it coming in throughout the threads, and I wanted to tag along here.

Amazing responses from family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, law enforcement, and even NK immediately and in the days after Shan'ann and the girls disappeared made the difference between justice in this case and either a lengthy trial and/or unsolved missing persons' cases.

The neighbor taking the police aside after reviewing the driveway surveillance? He didn't wait or hold back, he needed LE to know right away. Shan'ann's mom, on the phone with police while CW was standing next to them in the kitchen pressing them to look into him. Obviously Nicole Utoft contacting LE so quickly and pressing CW into action, then noting his incongruent reactions. More of Shan'ann's friends contacting LE and sharing texts. The Thayers coming forward to report their concerns.

Frederick Colorado is a town under 9k in population. People really came together and made this happen, I think in tremendous reflection of the kind of (and kind) person Shan'ann was and how she touched other people's lives in a positive way.
YES! Very well said. Wish I could hold down the like button until you got 100 likes!

So who thinks he’s going to Allenwood in PA?
I think so. I looked at the website and it says no visitors today -Larry Levine said they had gone on lockdown which made him think the y were taking him today.

  • #107
I guess if CW goes to Allenwood, Mother Watts will be able to visit him more often.

I think this is (probably) a stretch that she got the job because of an already existing obsession on Chris. It seems like there's a lot of industry there around oil fields, and that's what she's trained in with a father who works in that field as well?
Also wouldn't the other agency that she worked for be the one to assign her to different locations? Or at least find options for her?

Several weeks back some of us were speculating as to where CW may have gotten the idea to blame the children's deaths on SW from (his father, himself, LE, etc.). After watching his confession interview today, it seems the 2 people interrogating him planted that seed. (Apologies as I don't know their names, or titles.) Any ideas why they would have done that?

I think because it opens the door for more confession.

I thought they said they flew him out last night?
My daughter is flying out of DIA right now and I sure hope he is not on that plane!!!!!
I wonder how they transport him on a plane, first class under block & tackle?
Cargo in the hold would be a good option.

If he wants to see her. It seems that he is more than capable of putting people out of his life and not looking back.

I’m guessing the contract agency dropped her like a hot potato. She’s not that employable right now with her name in the headlines. They have no obligation to find her another job and she’s an HR nightmare with all the salacious news stories on this case.

Well done to that lady for going public. Every time someone comes forward with stories like that, and proof to back it up, the seeds of doubt about Shanann that certain parties tried to plant are weakened. This was no sad, badly treated husband. He was having casual sex with strangers, shouting at his wife loudly enough to worry the neighbour, and starting a serious affair with a colleague. His family can try and spin that into -Poor, downtrodden Chris- all they want....the truth is out there now.

With Marshals on either side of him.

@Larry Levine appearance on HLN, as referenced by @scdiv

I think his point about the difference between Scott Peterson and CW, is a good one.

Peterson still denies killing his wife and unborn child. Cw on the other hand, has admitted to killing them all.

People obviously view these two people differently, even though they are both scum.

Yes, I understand she is not with the agency anymore. I was talking about how she ended up at Anadarko. Whether or not they found her the job there or she was already working at Anadarko when they hired her. If she was only there for four months, where was she before? And was she still contracted with them before that?

Hey, @Larry Levine! Great segment on HLN today. Was just talking with my DH about the timing of Inmate Watts being moved a day or two before GHWB’s funeral and speculating a bit.

Any chance they chose this time to move CW while the US (and media) are paying so much attention to the viewings and upcoming funeral?

And would Wednesday’s Day of Mourning be an occasion for tranport to and from the Federal BOP to come grinding to a halt?

Thanks!
