I'm 112 pounds. My husband is 260. I couldn't fight him back if I was in a chokehold. Maybe give a kick, maybe flail my fingers trying to connect and detach his forearms. But the fact there were no injuries detailed on the monster's skin in the report doesn't mean Shanann didn't try to fight back. She was pregnant, dead tired from traveling and ill with nausea (and r/x nausea pills may have weakened her stamina further) and a lupus pregnancy. A monster who just had a steak dinner could easily snap her in two with no physical injuries on his precious skin.

She's also had surgery on her neck vertebra within the past year, so imagine how painful a rear chokehold would be...

Well done to that lady for going public. Every time someone comes forward with stories like that, and proof to back it up, the seeds of doubt about Shanann that certain parties tried to plant are weakened. This was no sad, badly treated husband. He was having casual sex with strangers, shouting at his wife loudly enough to worry the neighbour, and starting a serious affair with a colleague. His family can try and spin that into -Poor, downtrodden Chris- all they want....the truth is out there now.

We've all heard that BS excuse from wife killers before.

Facts are: Shanann was a fighter and passionate in everything she did: as a mom, wife, income generator.

She did nothing half-assed, unlike that pathetic oaf she married.

All she wanted was to raise her little girls and be a good, supportive wife.

We have all learned from this horror. There's little I can do except be in solidarity with the majority of websleuther's and support SW's friends and family. Thank god for Tricia, the WS mods, pommymommy, gitana, liltexans and ALL the decent folk both here and out there who don't attack innocent murder victims and spout horse-crap until they know more facts. This entire case is sickening and nightmarish to the core.

I understand your point, but I don’t think that makes all men evil like CW. You would have to find my first posts on divorce and this case last night to understand this post, because my initial posts were about divorce and this case. I have never defended CW on any level. This case is devastating. Maybe my ex is here. I don’t know. You don’t know her anyway. It’s not like I used her name. But I have a right to defend myself with my story. If a mod does not like my post, they can delete it.

Something horrifying, although the way he threw out his family, I guess no one should be surprised - the trauma dog showed interest all the way down the stairs, the dog handler said. He probably dragged her down the stairs, not even one last carry as he removed her from the house. The lack of dignity he showed his family is staggering. He must have hated them so much.

I’m not sure he has enough emotion to hate them. I think they just ceased to exist for him. That’s how he could sit in that interrogation room and play those videos of the girls. It’s how he could force their precious bodies into oil tanks. Sigh.

Agree. A high school boyfriend of mine once demonstrated to me that he could make me unconscious in a few seconds by simply pressing his finger on a blood vessel in my neck. He didn't put me in a choke hold, just reached over and touched my neck and I was out for a few seconds.

Agree. CW is not capable of love or hate. All he feels is for himself i.e. cold-blooded selfishness and the willingness to annihilate anyone or anything that stands in the way of his self-gratification. Reminds me a bit of our dear leader...

I know others have pointed this out before, but I just around got to watching this video where the tracking dog lady officer is there and they are going around the house trying to find items that would have the girls' scent or Shanann's scent on them. They needed items that CW had not touched at all. About midway through the video Dieter (the family dog) starts howling and whimpering as if he is in pain. At first I thought he was smelling the scent of the tracking dog on the lady officer. Then I watched it again and noticed that Dieter really started barking when CW went near the room where Dieter was crated. At one point the lady officer does talk to Dieter and says "it's okay" and Dieter barks and howls more at that. This may sound crazy but I feel like Dieter was trying to tell her what happened. I think Dieter knew what CW did.

Another thing I had not seen mentioned yet is at about 9 minutes in the officer asked CW about friends who have reached out to him about the disappearance. And CW says he has heard from people he had not talked to in years and "they all know, Facebook's a machine." The female officer in the background says "that's good" and CW keeps talking like he doesn't hear her and says how FB reaches all parts of the world. Then it sounds like CW says "It's a great machine, most days, Except for this type of stuff." He seems to be really contorting his face and holding back his anger as he says that. It's so dumbfounding to me to see these glimpses of the real CW slipping through.
