The proof of what you say is CW signing up for a Fantasy Football team while everyone else was out frantically searching for his missing family. The idiot.

OMG. What an idiot

I think they were killed first too, as I said in my post. But that doesn't mean she didn't get out of bed a couple of times after they were put down and before she fell asleep. There are others who referred to Bella always asking about her mom when she was gone. Shanann didn't face time with them at all while she was gone since Bella had such a hard time with it. I don't doubt for minute that Chris told Bella that she would see her mom when she got up before he smothered her with his bare hands. Just like Chris gave his wife a false sense of security right before he killed her. Imo

Your comments are interesting regarding Bella longing for her mother. I too also read how Bella was 'mummy's girl' while Cece was 'dad's girl' or something along those lines.

What I do wonder though is what CW was like with his girls when noone was watching? I wonder how he acted towards them and whether his demeanor changed? I wonder this because he was constantly wanting to be Mr nice guy and to be seen as nice, but I do wonder at what point that changed at home and how that looked. I'm not saying he became an awful father...but more whether he became cold or distant.

Why was Bella so upset and wanting her mum back? Could she sense her father's demeanor had changed? Little children have heightened senses and know when things aren't quite right. They just don't have the language nor emotional development to express what they are feeling. Maybe deep down she felt somewhat scared or worried and wanted the reassurance of her mother.

He got her to contact the realtor first so it would look like a mutual decision to sell the house. He was looking up which car he wanted to get using their LeVel car bonus when she "disappeared". IIRC Audi was one of the choices. He must have figured Shanann's LeVel money would keep rolling in while he did nothing. He's too stupid to realize that SW worked hard to earn that money. JMO.
snipped by me.
I thought maybe he was going to use the house proceeds to buy a new car, but you're probably right about him thinking that SW's LeVel money would keep rolling in after he murdered her, so could he use that car bonus for himself.
He must have thought he was going to be rich once the realtor sent him that suggested comp with an asking (wishing) price of $599K, plus SW's Thrive income added to his own Anadarko income, all for himself. JMO

Stupid stupid man, he had everything, a beautiful wife, beautiful kids, a beautiful house and a decent enough job. I wonder what he’s doing in his cell right now, I wonder if he’s thinking of SW, Bella and Cece. I wonder if he even registers the enormity of what he’s done and everything he’s lost.

This is the first police cam video ever recorded in the Watts case. Officer Coonrod arrives at the home and speaks with NUA.

At one point, as the officer is walking around the outside of the house he says, “🤬🤬🤬🤬!” I think that's when he realized this was a MUCH bigger problem. I can only imagine what was going on in his head. But, he handled the situation excellently. And, once he called in the detective, that was it. CW's goose was cooked. Or, more appropriately, his chicken was grilled!

Watched the CW interview on the night of 8/14. Agent Coder puts a photo of the girls in front of him and Chris starts talking about the girls. It’s weird though as it’s all in past tense. The agent leaves the room later and leaves the pic and Chris studies it for awhile. How can he just look at that photo after what he did the previous morning. He is pure evil.

Also, the agent is amazing! He has to pretend he doesn’t know tons of info and know that Chris is lying. I don’t know how he does it, but you know the moment he walks out of that room all LE is talking about his lies.

NK said she wanted "firsts", I understood her to mean if she were to have kids with CW or marry him, it would not be the same, he already had kids and a wife.

Is this what pushed him to do this - was walking out and leaving not enough - an ex-wife and kids would be still there in the background, taking time, commitment and money.

With them out of the picture it was the closest he could get to giving NK her much longed for firsts and such was his infatuation with her I think he was willing to do anything to keep her in his life.

I thought the same, except that then later in the video, he radios in that this is a medical case and that Shanann has diabetes. I think he thought they'd find her collapsed somewhere. If he thought it was suspicious, wouldn't he have asked for backup? I found it interesting that police don't seem to go in pairs there, that he was completely alone. Although he had NUA and NUA's son with him when they went inside I guess.

I think it definitely was part of the reason. She told her friend Charlotte just the day before so you know she talked about it with Chris around then too. He really thought he was smart and no one would worry about his wife and kids right away. How little he knew about his wife and who loved her.

Yes, IIRC at one point on SW's social media she posted that CW had earned his own car bonus for his sales level. And they test drove cars at a LeVel convention once. But I don't know that they ever used CW's car bonus because they had his work truck. I think he was planning on getting all her LeVel regular buyers and he thought he could maintain enough sales to keep a car bonus too with minimal effort. JMO.

We don't need him to commit suicide, he is the only witness. If he does, I'd think it is in someone's interests. And I want a true story.
I feel certain he will take his own life as soon as he is able and figures out how to do it. By hanging, or cut wrists, etc. Or the other inmates will take care of him.

This is such a great summary Pommy. CW's activity is so transparent when taken altogether. It's like he made-up with SW just enough to convince her to go away for the weekend in AZ and that everything would be fine when she came home. He let her believe they had important plans on Monday that he would not miss-- to reveal the baby gender/name and to go to the girl's first day of school, etc. But in reality he was planning to murder her so those plans would never happen. He canceled his facebook in preparation. JMO.

Didn't he also tell SW he didn't want the extra fall sports package on Directv? He was planning for his life without her and if he was moving to a new place he wouldn't want to renew the satellite at the house only to get stuck paying that extra contract.

I wish we had more of an idea of what NK was saying or what CW was saying to NK on Aug 8th or Aug 9th. I'm still wondering if that doll photo was meant to be sent to someone else as "evidence" of SW acting erratically. It doesn't fit with his other actions towards her during this time when he wanted her to think everything was going to be ok. Perhaps he was going to try to claim SW did that to the doll before disappearing with the children? He could not have predicted she would put it up on facebook, even though she put just about everything up on facebook. CW's father even suggested to the police that SW did that to the doll and maybe it was a sign of her being unstable. I wonder if CW had mentioned that to him previously and put that suggestion in his head? Since SW's in-laws blocked her on facebook after Nutgate they might not have known about the doll photo unless CW or someone else told them. JMO.

AND SW returned from NC with the children on Aug 7, probably late in the day.

So he had already started to formulate a “fix it” plan when they were in NC

But if SW and the girls were in the house, everyone would have known it. The girls would have made themselves known.

Very similar, CC also has victim blaming odd parents. I posted this on another thread, I apologize if redundant. I read in a legal brief that in the search of all the families computers they found a nude picture of the girlfriend on his father’s computer.

Why would he have her nude photo on his computer? wth...this is odd.

The State of Colorado vs Chris Watts

This video is pretty interesting. Looks like he is dragging SW’s body.

Shorter slowed down version of CW.
Light shining on face from garage lights means he was walking backwards, looking like he is stuggling with dragging something.

Whoa, I missed that !
I hope I'm not spreading misinformation, but it's either true or I'm losing my mind. Which is always a possibility.

Good Night Everyone,

See you in the morning. The Watts thread will be open by 7:30 AM Mountain time.

Thank you very much for moving away from the sex toy discussions. I can sleep well tonight.

Tricia
Sorry Tricia, I take 100% responsibility for the sex toy discussion, it was mostly me :(

I was wondering about this - why was he so bent over?

I didn't see that he was walking backwards

Don't think I can link the video here, but if you go to www.youtube.com and search "Chris Watts" and "neighbour admits his suspicion" (that's what the spelling says) - it's an extended video of the neighbor, NUA's son, and police conversing after CW has left the neighbor's house after viewing the camera angles. Good stuff.

ETA: It's hard to hear at first, but keep watching. NUA comes back as well. The neighbor is amazing. He is acting more detective-y than the detective.
