Narcissists/ sociopaths have a way of turning everything around on you. They will make YOU look like the one with the problem, the abuser, the bad person all whilst painting themselves as a saint to family and friends. Nobody would ever believe they could be capable of the things they do in private.

Yes that happened as well. I was too naive at first. Didn't want all the politics. Big mistake

We see CW had been doing that

Probably in an effort to explain his deteriorating marriage.

It made him look like a victim of Shanann’s reckless spending.

Meanwhile, this guy is lucky he can breathe without assistance, let alone manage finances.

To paint SW's as a materialistic bossy woman. :(

Interview with the Rzuceks

Video: Remembering Shanann Watts: 'Her love for children and friends was amazing'

I just love Shan'ann's parents. Such a beautiful family. Such a devastating loss.

Whoa! Just this snippet has me in tears for them. An entire hour-long episode is going to require a lot of Kleenex. :(

Heads up to those who plan on watching it on the ABC web site. They usually have 20/20 episodes locked until a week after the airdate unless you have a cable or satellite provider login, you may not be able to view it until next Friday. So, make sure to DVR if you can!

“20/20” HAS FIRST INTERVIEW WITH PARENTS OF SHANANN WATTS AFTER HER HUSBAND, CHRIS WATTS, PLED GUILTY TO MURDERING SHANANN AND THEIR TWO YOUNG DAUGHTERS
“20/20” features an exclusive interview with Frank and Sandra Rzucek, Shanann Watts’ parents

Christopher Watts was sentenced to life in prison without parole for murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann, and young daughters Bella and Celeste in Colorado. “20/20” Co-anchor Amy Robach sits down for the first interview with Shanann’s parents, Frank and Sandra Rzucek, who open up about their daughter, granddaughters and their grief. The pair also discusses their relationship with Chris and the shocking crime that devastated their family. The hour features exclusive interviews with neighbor Nathan Trinastich and Shanann’s friends Cassandra Rosenberg, and Cristina Meacham. “20/20” airs on Friday, December 7 (10:00 – 11:00 p.m. ET) on ABC.

“20/20” includes interviews with Nickole Atkinson, Shanann’s friend who first reported her missing; Michael Rourke, Weld County District Attorney; and John Camper, director of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. The hour also features new videos, documents, photos and texts from the case, coupled with newly released police evidence, in an attempt to explore the question of why Chris committed the murders.

Thanks. Do we dare ask/wonder if Watts parents will be doing interviews too? Ugh.

I would like to understand. I would like to hear from Chris how he could smother to death this precious, precious little girl and allow her to die. But I know that ain’t going to happen.

What a cutie!

I just finished listening to a nearly 30 minute video of LE on a phone call to SW's long time friend Christina in Hawaii. She's the one who stayed with them for 2 months to help while SW recovered from surgery. They also spoke 'daily'. She said he was a good husband, great father, and CW even watched her own daughter for a couple days. She said something happened in the 5 weeks this summer that caused SW to be blindsided by the change in CW's behavior. She went into great detail describing SW's personality, her need for routines and schedules. There's also a good video of a conversation with Cindy (from LeVel IIRC). I haven't seen them posted here yet but could've missed them. I won't direct link. Search youtube for 'Phone call to Christina in Hawaii-Chris Watts murder' and 'Chris Watts murder BWC Ofc James phone call with Cindy'. Then select the filter in the upper left corner for "Today". (Videos were uploaded last night.) These women and NUA showed reactions that would be typical when SW and her daughters were missing, creating a stark contrast to CW's behavior. IMO.

Thank you for mentioning these. No one else seems to have uploaded them. Here are the videos to make it easier to find them:

(I could be wrong, but I think it's ok to link to youtube videos as long as they don't have extra commentary added by random bloggers. These are just the straight recordings from the discovery release.)

I think that is when he remembered he had walked backwards dragging SW's body
With every post about CW loading up his truck, a creepy thought comes to me about how awful it must have been to carry the three dead bodies of the people you just killed out of your house, and then I remember that CW doesn’t feel anything.

duplicate post. delete.

My take on it was that NK is totally embarrassed and ashamed, she wants no association with CW, she doesn’t want to drag her friends into it, and she doesn’t think anyone will hire her for 5-10 years. She was also talking about changing her name and moving out of state.
She should be embarrassed and ashamed. For her behavior before and after the murders.

Of course she doesn't want any association with CW, now. It's of no value to her.

I doubt she cares that much about her friends. It seems to be all about her.

I wish her no ill will and I DO hope she can rebuild her life. I also hope she has learned from this experience, which cost four precious human beings their lives.

I doubt he ever thought of that. More likely, he probably resents her and blames her that he didn't get the life he always wanted. I'm sure he felt the impact of his failures and blamed it on everyone else but himself. Imo
I agree completely!

What a cutie!
When I saw that video, I fell in love with CeCe. What a funny little girl she was, with such a zest for life. So sad.

On a serious note, I would have a few choice words to write to him but it would be good to gain his confidence enough, in the hopes of him opening up and admitting exactly how it all unfolded and most importantly why ?.
That's a good idea. Maybe someday he will find a confidant and discloses everything we would like to know.

It was during Cindy's interviews that we first learned that SW had "friends." I believe Cindy stated CW had 3 best friends and that he was still in contact with them. I also believe these friends to be 3 guys that Cindy nurtured friendships with, and shared them with Chris (she found his friends and controlled the friendship). Cindy shared the nut story with San Diego navy guy and requested he intervene and he complied. MOO
Yet according to the Watts SW was controlling. Father Watts' only understandable words ar the very start of his interview.
About Shannan.
" She was a very controlling woman".
It just makes me sick.

SPECIAL REPORT: Waupun prison guards accused of abusing dozens of inmates

SPECIAL REPORT: Waupun prison guards accused of abusing dozens of inmates

DOC Dodge Correctional Institution

If that's where CW is, he may be starting a nightmare existence.
It doesn't sound like Dodge would be his permanent location. From the 2nd link:

The primary purpose of Dodge Correctional Institution (DCI) is to serve as the central reception center for all adult male inmates sentenced to prison. DCI promotes safe communities and institution safety through humane custodial treatment and supervision of inmates. DCI staff work collaboratively with staff from the Bureau of Offender Classification and Movement to complete a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of each inmate, determining program needs, custody level and institution placement.
Thanks. Do we dare ask/wonder if Watts parents will be doing interviews too? Ugh.
Hush yo mouth, lol! :p I haven't seen anything yet. MOO

I've been reading about Dodge and I think you're right. Maybe CW will be shuffled around until he gets lost?

OMG! Please, no Watts family interviews!

I doubt it but I hope they show clips of Cindy's interview bashing Shanann and then switch to the videos of Shanann interacting lovingly with her children for emphasis.
