Yes, her best friend whom she referred to as being "so retarded." But as I understood it she did not want to reveal any details about the crime since she was a witness and it was an ongoing investigation. She also expressed concern about the media contacting her and asking her for details. She also talked about how Charlottes dad had just died and and she didn't think she even knew that Chris was the one she had the affair with, as she would not have had her mind on that. Maybe its a combination of those things.

What I found to be disconcerting was that she kept cursing! She said the "f" word twice. Is that just normal with the younger generation or what?! She's about 15 years younger than me but my nephews are in their early twenties and I can't imagine them cursing in an interview like that. It's just not appropriate. The investigator was incredibly patient. I think if it was me I would have asked her if her mother taught her how to speak like that. I've always been pretty laid back but that language I just can't tolerate. Maybe I'm just getting old. Imo
It’s not her age. She has no class.

I wonder if CW's demeanor, his furtiveness, his withdrawal will be an asset in prison or a liability? Will predators see him as prey? Or will he be able to blend in and adapt?

Whoa! Just this snippet has me in tears for them. An entire hour-long episode is going to require a lot of Kleenex. :(

Heads up to those who plan on watching it on the ABC web site. They usually have 20/20 episodes locked until a week after the airdate unless you have a cable or satellite provider login, you may not be able to view it until next Friday. So, make sure to DVR if you can!
So sad I can't even. Shanann was so gorgeous and those kids so dang adorable.

Right! Pull her car out, back his all the way in, close the door. What on earth would he have done if his immediate neighbor to the right (if facing the house, not the one with the camera) heard him or popped out of the house for some reason, as he was, well, moving the bodies. Wasn't it a 2-car garage anyway?

His truck was too long to fit in the garage and close the garage door. That's why he had to park it on the street. He thought he was being smart by backing in so the tailgate was partly in the garage but the reality is that it was more suspicious. Because he never did that and he never opened the garage door in the morning because it would wake the girls up.

I just finished listening to a nearly 30 minute video of LE on a phone call to SW's long time friend Christina in Hawaii. She's the one who stayed with them for 2 months to help while SW recovered from surgery. They also spoke 'daily'. She said he was a good husband, great father, and CW even watched her own daughter for a couple days. She said something happened in the 5 weeks this summer that caused SW to be blindsided by the change in CW's behavior. She went into great detail describing SW's personality, her need for routines and schedules. There's also a good video of a conversation with Cindy (from LeVel IIRC). I haven't seen them posted here yet but could've missed them. I won't direct link. Search youtube for 'Phone call to Christina in Hawaii-Chris Watts murder' and 'Chris Watts murder BWC Ofc James phone call with Cindy'. Then select the filter in the upper left corner for "Today". (Videos were uploaded last night.) These women and NUA showed reactions that would be typical when SW and her daughters were missing, creating a stark contrast to CW's behavior. IMO.

Ya know, I think CW-NK had been together for much longer than we will ever know. IMO, NK was TIRED of waiting for her Prince Charming to be free! I’m sure she was nagging him, livid over S being pregnant (we know he claimed to not be the father), wanting to know when he would be free so they could be together all the time. Ultimately the stress (self induced for the most part) CW was living with caused him to hatch his plan. Once he entertained his ideas, his mind was consumed until he finally Went to work on his not well thought plan.

I doubt it but I hope they show clips of Cindy's interview bashing Shanann and then switch to the videos of Shanann interacting lovingly with her children for emphasis.
I can imagine Cindy & Ronnie being totally jealous of the interest and focus on the Rzucek’s. In their minds, they’ve been wronged, they’re suffering the most, and they’re the real victims, here. It’s not fair what happened to their son. Somebody might hurt him in jail.

I don't know how he'll interact with fellow inmates, but I imagine with the guards he'll be "yes sir-ring" a lot- at least until he toughens up. He has learned manners but not morals.

I truly wonder if his real goal wasn't freedom and a new life, but to get caught and punished! And also punishing his Mother. He took a lot of chances and made a lot of mistakes.

Nah. I think if he wanted to get caught he would have just left the bodies in the house and gone to work and waited for them to be found. He went to too much trouble to hide the bodies and spent way too much time lying for someone who wanted to be caught. The look of panic on his face when he is in the neighbors house watching the video of himself loading the bodies up says it all IMO. He made a lot of mistakes because he is just not that smart. JMO.

Did CW have NK over at his house while SW was out of town? Im trying to backtrack and see where I read that statement.

Hi! Bet in retrospect they recall a lot of abnormal behavior. Like you, nothing I’ve read regarding their past waved a red flag. I’m guessing her son media presence had everyone convinced things couldn’t be rosier.
But, remember, her mom immediately thought CW was responsible for SW going missing. So.......
I wonder if during her 6 weeks at home, she let it be known that things were not going well between them, and that his behavior had changed. Then, during that time as well, he was spending more time with NK, and the calls and face time became more strained.

Question for the legal experts: If Nichol Kessinger worked out an immunity deal, would the public know about it? Is that information that is kept confidential, or might it be disclosed in discovery?

TIA

I said a few threads back that I don't find the labels helpful as I am not a professional.

I find it more helpful to approach it in terms of observable behaviours and patterns.

To me Watts is not driven by the narc style fantasies of success/power etc

He might be driven by sadist powerful sexual fantasies. It's always the quiet ones.

According to NK, she was there twice. Many think she was there more often. There’s no official evidence of any visits that I’ve seen.

The neighbor said they scream but "he" gets crazy, not "they" get crazy. He said he though Shannan left to get away from "the situation." I think he was clear that CW alone was the one who got "crazy."

Gets crazy sounds way worse than just an average argument. Sounds like he flew into a rage. Narcissistic rage perhaps?

What was up with CW googling those Metallica lyrics? I don’t follow Metallica, so I have no frame of reference. Does anyone understand the meaning of that?
“Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me” and “Pounding out aggression, turns into obsession/Cannot kill the battery/Cannot kill the family.”

Why would the state give her an immunity deal?

What key testimony could she provide to justify it?

I've wondered that too.

“Smashing through the boundaries, lunacy has found me” and “Pounding out aggression, turns into obsession/Cannot kill the battery/Cannot kill the family.”

It's probable he misunderstood the lyrics

I was a teenager in the 80s - these songs had a lot of resonance with young men. The whole thing about thrash was its shock value

The theme of the song revolves around the San Francisco thrash scene of the 1980s. The most prominent club played by Metallica was the Old Waldorf located at 444 Battery Street in downtown San Francsico. The tone of the song is one of familial ties and the positive release of energy through the common interest of metal. The lyric "Cannot kill the family, Battery is found in me" is a statement that while society at large doesn't understand the scene, those within it (i.e. "the family") will fiercely defend it as a show of solidarity against the glam scene that was popular in the Los Angeles area.
