The records supervisor at the Frederick Police Department told CrimeOnline on Thursday that the entry in the discovery report showing that Nichol Kessinger performed a Google search for Shanann Watts on September 1, 2017 is a typo.

CrimeOnline reached records supervisor Amanda Purcell on Thursday after repeated inquiries made to multiple Colorado law enforcement agencies to confirm the accuracy of an entry in the Phone Data Review included in the discovery documents connected to the Chris Watts murder case, released by the Weld County District Attorney’s office late last month.

Asked if the entry in the Phone Data Review showing that Kessinger, who was involved in an affair with Chris Watts when he murdered his wife Shanann Watts and two young daughters, showing that Kessinger performed an internet search for “Shanann Watts” on her cell phone on September 1, 2017, was typographically correct, Purcell said it was a typo in the report.

Purcell was not able to provide additional clarification about another section of the phone data review that indicates Kessinger searched for Chris and/or Shanann Watts prior to beginning her relationship with Chris Watts in the spring of 2018, and referred our inquiry to the Weld County District Attorney’s office. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.

Watts first learned of the CERVI 319 opportunity on Friday when he met his friend at a car park to give him a firestick. He overheard the phone conversation and this is when he first said he would go out there on Monday am.

I don't think he was a special ed student though. At least not that we know. His roomate did say he was always studying and was serious about his work. There were a couple of people who commented on his great memory so that may have compensated for any language disorders he may have had.

No. And he said he was good at math. Given that he had a good reputation at his work, I think he did not lie here. He was a member of a chess club.

There are people who have photographic memory. Musical, linguistic, for numbers. I know a person who would tell you to take a book of poetry by Shakespeare, name the line, the page, randomly, and start reciting from that line.

Does it help my acquaintance in life? Not at all. He used to win in a very special sport, but its popularity has been waning.

Well that answers that question. Some suggested it was a typo right away and it gradually turned into fact. So maybe she was only working there about four months.

I dont think pointing out that specuation is incorrect when discovery says otherwise is disparaging. Facts aren't disparaging and pointing them out in now way makes it OK for CW to do what he did. As I stated earlier, speculation changes the narrative and the danger in that is that people will think that they will be able to protect themselves from something that they can't see.

There was lots and lots of speculation and lies about SW after her husband murdered her and his children, with no proof at all.

Possible, but we don't even know where, when and why he googled Oxy. He could have been at his parents house in NC. He could have been at NK's house. Maybe he didn't know what it was for and thought she may have some disease. Who knows? MOO

Some of us have a harder time wrapping our heads around this. It is so inconceivable to me that he could do this to his little girls. A wife I can understand. Little children? Not yet for me.

JMO...Shanaan was her parents little girl and her death is just as horrific as her children's deaths. CW is a monster who took the lives of four precious individuals.

I think they were always part of the plan. SW's family already noticed he was acting distant with them. NK wasn't keen on his kids. The lady at the bungee park said he didn't engage with the kids at all, only SW. The way he spoke about them in terms of negative interactions (ie chicken nuggets). The way he was so quick to pull them out of school within hours. He scheduled cervi at the same time as taking them to school. He never intended to take them to school. He never showed interested in the two bedroom apartmants NK was showing him. He wanted to be childfree. No extra room, no kids. He probably wanted to start over and have kids with NK like she wanted, people pleaser that he is.

I recall at the bungee park he was distracted with his phone, gee, wonder with whom he was texting?
I’m always going to be uncertain about the kids.
And the timing.
He had so much time on his hands prior to the murders one might assume he’d be much more organized.

I have no idea what speculation or facts you're talking about. My response was to someone else. MOO

In his taped interview I noticed something that I overlooked in the transcripts. That is, he used fewer "likes" "you knows", etc when he was talking about his job and his technical schooling. The more he got into interpersonal relationships the more the "likes" dominated his speech.
I think he's one of a type of person I have known who are good at one thing, yet hopelessly fish out of water in all other categories. He would have ended up with Nikki in the same boat, resentfully watching her make all the decisions. I don't think he's stupid, even though the way he murdered implies that. I think bringing them to "work" shows that he really only had one part of his life where he was in control....the mechanical/technical part of his life.

I noticed the "likes" and "all that stuff" and "you knows" disappeared more when he was talking about something factual he could speak truthfully about. He spoke with confidence and in a much more assertive tone. For example, the details about SW's delayed flight, talking about the weather in Phoenix. Talking about her direct sales job. Doorbell cameras. Gadgets. His protein shakes. His favorite t-shirt. Watching Sportscenter. You could see a palpable sigh of relief and his whole body relax when he was able to talk about something he didn't have to lie about. And the "likes" dwindled.

I’m not saying all 30 year olds that haven’t been married or have kids behave that way. I know many that age and younger that act more mature than she did. However, IMO she behaves like an early 20 year old and having never been married with no kids could contribute to her behavior.

I feel like she acts like an immature person because that's who she is. Vapid. She could have married CW and she would likely be a spoiled, immature, vapid 30 year old and 40 year old. Many people get married later in life these days, or have children later or not at all, for a variety of reasons.

Being single and/or childless at 30 or 40 or beyond does not make someone emotionally immature, not have empathy, or be considerate and loving toward others. It's so easy to inadvertently shame single or childless women and that is so unfair. NK is a self-absorbed, selfish woman. I think that's exactly who she would continue to be if she married CW or Jim or anyone else. I have a hard time believing marriage and kids would magically transform her.

by her own admission, SW had control issues ( see discovery document pg 2114).

I was with a man for a few years that could not adult. He turned me into a controlling person because I was put into the positionon of having to manage his life because if it was not managed it affected me. I ended it, thank goodness. But controlling has many seasons and reasons and degrees.

I missed that - interesting. Maybe he was truly conflicted on some level. Stay with the wife and kids, leave and try to be with NK. His pattern of phone use must have been making him crazy. Calls from the wife, many unanswered, then a call or text to the mistress, then looking and nude pics of NK and moving them to his secret app followed by more calls from SW begging him to talk to her. That last weekend must have created the volcano in his head.

Well I'd say that on the Saturday he was only interested in getting his fix (NK) and pre-occupied with his murderous plan for Sunday night/Monday morning. I finally got a context for NK saying he was unplugged, by watching that interview. She meant disengaged interest-wise with the moving strategy they had been discussing earlier in the week.

No I didn't hear her say "retarded". What I was saying is that the officer kept asking her about texts regarding CW and his kids and she just kept going back to talking about her friend Charlotte's grief. Rambling when he was trying to get specific answers from her. She also kept saying Charlotte didn't make the connection that murderer Chris was NK's Chris when there was a text that clearly stated she did realize it was the same man. None of it matters in the grand scheme of this case. I don't think she was involved. It was just an observation regarding her personality which I find self serving and off putting.

Well, if you have a friend whom you consider an «airhead», let us put it so, better than «retarded», and you share the details of your intimate life in texts with that person, what does it say about you?
