IMO Shanann was likely abused by CW during their entire marriage. I think the nice guy thing was an act.

In the end men just need to stop killing and hurting their women and kids

The puzzle to me is why he didn’t just leave.

Because he is a sociopath who would rather murder his wife and babies than take care of them.

I never thought i would after my beautiful 23 yr. old son was killed by a drunk driver, and it took a very long time to get through it. Eventually the wonderful memories come through again, and i could smile again. Grief is a long and painful journey and a testimony of our love for our child.
I since lost my 36 yr. old daughter to illness a few years ago as well, so a double whammy. Still getting through that as well, and its never easy, but with wonderful love & support it certainly helps.
It teaches me just how very fragile our lives are.
I can't imagine the grief that Shanann's family are going through right now, because murder is horrific and i imagine a different type of grief for sure.
I wish them a tremendous amount of love and support to help them through this nightmare.

*sigh* I go to bed all caught up on the thread, wake up and there's fifteen new pages. Sleep is overrated!

Seemingly random post, but I watched a video where Shanann and CW were in the kitchen after the girls had gone to bed, and she was promoting a new mint chocolate chip flavored drink. Oh my goodness, she was so cute! She really seems like a person who would light up the room when she walked in.

After watching the new videos this week, I wanted to note that the bold, bright colors that Shanann chose for her home directly reflects her beautiful personality. It is gut-wrenching to watch NUA and LE walk through the house as an empty shell of its former self, filled with life and energy from SW, BW and CW.

CW annihilated his family so he could have freedom in a new life. He did not get any freedom thanks to NUA being there. She dropped of Shanann at 2 am, and was onto CW by 9, 10 am, 12 pm. I can only imagine how she must have felt from thinking she was safely dropping off her friend, ready to stand by her side through the separation, and then just hours later, know that something seriously disturbing had happened to her friend.

It sickens me how CW could act so normal at work when his family was literally right next to him and his coworkers. It honestly makes me shudder at how he could compartmentalize. How his coworkers must be feeling too.

The ripple effect of CW's actions continue...

I'm glad CW has been sentenced so Shanann's friends and family can have closure, and start to heal together. Bless them.



Also, started listening to NK's first interview and I could not get through it! Her voice really does grate, and she does NOT shut UP! I would hate to be in her company at all, and the fact that she speaks so crudely and at such length, all about herself, in the middle of a MISSING PERSONS/QUADRUPLE HOMICIDE case... I'm speechless at the lack of awareness this trashy woman had. Bless the LE for being so patient and professional, because I would not have been able to keep it cool with her.

In no way am I making light of these horrible murders, I am not, but at the same time I don’t see why people who had no knowledge of his crimes have to have their lives destroyed by losing their jobs, their healthcare, their security, and their privacy as a result of CW’s acts. They become his victims, too. IMOO

NK is responsible for losing her job. No one else. Just her. She violated company policy and they let her go. That led to her losing her healthcare etc. We are all responsible for OUR actions. Having an affair with a married co worker has consequences. As much as I hate inmate CW; he did not force her to have an affair. She was a very willing participant. Now she will have to live with the consequences of her actions.

You will see them again. My sister lost her 26 year old daughter to a brain tumor. 2 years later she almost lost her 32 year old daughter to rare blood clotting in her liver and spleen. An even rarer procedure saved her after we had spent days preparing to loose her too. I can not imagine going thru losing two children. I know the grief never lessens, I hope the love and happy memories give you moments of comfort in your new normal.

Let me be clear (again). I am not 'bashing' anyone. If someone posts something that is speculation and that contradicts statements made in discovery, its is OK to point that out.

I get the need to demonise CW and all that have relationships with him, but it isn't objective and its isn't sleuthing either.

I don't know how anyone can NOT demonize a "man" who murdered his pregnant wife and his own children and disposed of them in such a sickening manner. whatever good there is or was about him has been entirely swallowed by the hideous acts with which he chose to define his life, and end others. Whether or not he is nice to puppies doesn't matter. Is there something wrong with his brain? Certainly. Was he so bizarrely obsessed with his new mistress that he lost all decency and humanity toward his own children, even? It seems so. Is he "a good guy"? Certainly not. You look at someone who has committed such actions and think, he is a negative force in the world, and the world would have been better off without him given the hurt and pain he has contributed instead of possible good. If he has any shred of human-ness left in him at all, he should volunteer to be studied, he should open himself up and be honest as to everything he felt, and let those qualified study and expose what makes a FA like him. But I suspect there is nothing that good left in him and he will lie and obfuscate until the end of his pitiful days.

So you think some one can get mad enough at their spouse to the point the point they kill their spouse and children? If that were the case, prison would be full of FA’s and the divorce rate would be way down. What keeps all the other spouses experiencing the same stresses the Watts were in the last few months from resorting to annihilating the whole family? What was so toxic about the marriage? Personal friends described them as a very loving couple, hands on each other kissing and holding hands, body language of two happy people up until the few months prior to the murders.

I'm sorry for the loss of your sister's child. Much too young to die all of them. What a worrying time for her other child too, and glad she survived. We just never know what life will bring, but there isn't too much choice sometimes and we have to deal with it the best we can. The grief does soften in time, but a part of us is always missing until we can see them again. I have two surviving children, and we do have wonderful memories that keep us going, and the love always lives on, and the only thing that we can take with us in the end and what still connects us.

Any time anyone uses social media, there is always a risk of that information being shared. There is no such thing as privacy in 2018. Big Brother is always watching. Any time you use the internet, your IP address is there along with your Google search history.

NK and CW apparently don't know how the internet works. NK is an adult who should have had the foresight that any pics sent to CW could potentially come back to bite her. As for releasing the documents to the public, it's State law. As long as they are in compliance with the State law, there is nothing anyone can do about it. It's a public matter. The cat is already out of the bag. Privacy doesn't exist anymore.

Right! At least cut your head out of pics or any identifiers (tattoos, etc) for some plausible deniability In this day and age people should know these things

Yes, but now she won’t be able to find one, and as of that last interview thought she’d have to move out of state and change her name. I think it’s too much punishment for having an affair.

Highly doubtful she'll have to move out of state, just stop contacting the media, trying to seek out book deals and everyone will forget about her. She blends and doesn't stand out. Her average looks will be her saving grace.

It's not elevating her to sainthood to refuse to fault her in ANY way for her husband's repulsive actions in slaughtering her and their children. NO marriage is perfect. The sickness in this lies entirely within the dark, empty soul of CW. So it is distasteful when you try to somehow blame any of this on Shannan <modsnip>. I strongly suspect that whoever work she engaged in, CW would have done the same -- unable to be in a mature relationship with children of his own, he would have found his new sexual validator and destroyed his family. SW could have been a lawyer, same thing would have happened. CW's issue was his complete lack of empathy, inability to consider consequences, inability to understand a point of view other than his own, sexual obsession, greed, etc.
