I think I saw someone speculate here that she was trying to mimic Amber Frey’s book cover photo, right down to her jewelry.



I noticed that, too, but just took that closing as some kind of inside joke or that she was just being cheeky, the way people use “Ciao!” all the time.



Ha! How have I have never heard that before? But ya still gotta add me to the growing list of those that have been ruined on one of their favorite desserts! LOL!

Did she take the photos after August 13th? Did she hire a PR firm or attorney to help her?
When did she have the time to do this?!
ETA: The news agency gave her a makeover for the shot? Is that correct?

@Layla123 will be glad to see this, I think. These are four of NK's texts with one of the detective's. (Many more texts at the link.) NK had a new job in less than three weeks. So, it does not appear that her life has been ruined.

Such a glib and practiced liar. He's lied before. A LOT. You can tell from this interview. He's pretty smooth at it. Totally unconcerned. Can talk about things that would be emotional trigger points to someone with an ounce of remorse - like someone who has erupted in an uncontrollable rage as some insist occurred, and now feels guilt- but here we see nothing. Not one moment of voice quaver talking about his precious little girls' nighttime routines or the fact that they're missing:

"Can we talk about the morning before they disappeared?" "Mmmmmmmm hmmmmmmmmmm."

Total unconcern. As if he asked, "Did you know your shoe is untied?"

I think because the therapist is paid for out of the victims assistance fund. There’s probably a list.

What Jennifer says is true; however, I have heard discussion on other sites that JW has a Facebook group in support of CW. You have to answer questions before joining. I haven't tried to join and don't want to hear what she has to say. CW's mom did a podcast with a group last night and is apparently still bashing SW and saying she believes CW's story. I didn't watch it. I was afraid my head would explode.

Do you know if the podcast is only available on FB? I'll take one for the team and listen to it if I can find it, but I'm rarely on FB.

I'm probably the only weirdo that hopes Family Watts doesn't go away and keeps blabbing to the media.

My new motto is keep talking, so entertaining when people show us who they really are. Mom Watts showed us who she was the first time she started crying about CW's "deal". Would love for sneaky Sister Watts to come out of the shadows and share her pearls of insight. My only request is that we have subtitles for Mumbles Watts.

She's a pathological liar. She lies way too easily. She was aware of course she knew. Her jealousy of SW was a driving force behind the affair. She wanted what she had. Of course, she googled her. It was her competition. I wonder if she feels good now? She won over CW! Katrma is a . Winner takes it all.

That's right he did, CW 'temporarily' stood by Shanann over the incident. Is that aligning with dad, no, it's not, Papa Watts was heartbroken.
Mama Watts is going ape **** over it and ringing CW's friend for more allies against Shanann, while papa Watts lives in the war zone of his wife and daughter's own making.
Would Papa Watts be grateful to his best buddy, his son, taking Shanann's side?
Look what happened, CW killed his whole family and I don't think it was a hard decision for CW to make, he's THAT screwed up!

I can quite see how CW might transfer his inner rage at Mother Watts (the cause of his alignment with his father) onto Shanann for the original (viewed as a child) perceived injury to his father. Being totally unaware that is what he was doing - viewing Shanann as if she were his mother.

I think she's just trying to sound affected and make sure they know she's traumatized. She can surely contact a therapist on her own. That was all for effect.

But he look terrified the day before. When he was watching the neighbor’s security camera recording he couldn’t hide his fear, when LE arrived, when he was questioned by anybody on that day, he looked ready to run for the hills! No duper’s delight on that day.

I wonder what happened between then and the next day to change his demeanour? Maybe he took some sort of anti anxiety drug already in the house, it wouldn’t surprise me if CW or Shanann had been prescribed meds in the past - something seemed to have calmed him down. Having said that - he was still pretty jittery at some points during the interviews, particularly the Denver7 one imo.

Right. I thought she went in the next day? But doesn't matter it was fairly promptly. I think her mind would of been in a tailspin at that time. She might have been pushing for CW to get out of his marriage asap, but i doubt very much she would of expected the murder of his family. Doesn't mean i like her, but i doubt anyone in their wildest dreams would of expected such a horrific outcome.

Seriously weird behaviour. Seemed to have no idea that things were looking bad for him, until the neighbour called him over to view his camera action! Bit nervous then!

Iirc, there was a poster here who said that their upstairs air conditioning unit did not work and that is why the fans were on. I was going to challenge that because I had never heard that before.

But that was when there were so many things going on Friday, and the thread got shut down and was not able to reply to it and now I cannot find it.

SW had contacted the a/c repair guy on August 10th while she was in AZ for her work trip.
Inmate Watts had the day off work, but he was too busy looking up comedy clubs, restaurants, shopping for a new car and getting his new Amazon Fire Stick to bother with a/c repairs.
The high on August 12th was 91 degrees fahrenheit, so it would have been pretty hot upstairs, which is why I was wondering if the windows were open the night of the murders.
I assumed it was the upstairs a/c that wasn't working because those ceiling fans were all running at high speed, while the ceiling fan in the family room downstairs wasn't even turned on.
Maybe the disc 2 docs will show if it was ever repaired, but I haven't had time to look at them.

The cadaver dog handler talks about the fans making it hard for the dog to get a scent. I think this is part of the reason the dog didn't alert. We know they all died in that house yet the dog didn't really alert. IMO we can't put much into the dog at all because of this.

I worked for the Illinois State Police training center years ago. I watched them train the dogs everyday because I am a huge dog lover. None of their cadaver dogs were handled like this handler did. Which doesn't make her wrong; but it surprised me as it is so opposite of what ISP did. We don't know either how long this dog had been working, how experienced the dog is etc.

I'd think the scent of death would be strong enough a ceiling fan couldn't throw the scent.

Last night I spent a lot of time looking at CW video's with police from the POV of body cams, reading endless text messages to his girlfriend, reading SW text messages to CW and her friends, watching SW happily facebook stream, reading unsealed affidavits, etc.

I'm not going to lie, friends. I spent too much time on it. Enough that I had to step back and just...stop and think why. What has gripped me about this case. Since you are here and reading this, too, I assume you can relate to some degree, if not completely.

Yes, there is a mystery to be solved, initially. But, let's face it. This has happened before, this type of ghastly crime. Pregnant women murdered, families annihilated, side women/mistresses, lies, deception, ultimate betrayal. We've heard the Scott Peterson comparisons, in particular, ad nauseam. But there are others. "Perfect" families with a psychopath in the midst.

Chris Watts isn't the first nor will he be the last. There will be more innocent victims.

So after long reflection, this is what I came up with. Beyond the obvious (perfect on the outside, his affairs, financial strains, on the inside)....

I don't remember a case where so much information was released. You don't need to imagine anything. It's all there for you to watch.

I am nowhere close to getting through this avalanche and never will. I rely on you to summarize it for me. Just watching the video's I described.....SW video's, CW watching his neighbors security cam video and his nervous reaction, her friend and the wellness check all caught on police body cam, the interview with parents, HIS interview with the media, I'm just going to stop. The only thing missing is, thank GOD, the murders themselves. It is so thoroughly all encompassing I wouldn't be surprised if they drop that next. Baby monitors capturing it? No, I know that won't happen, but please understand my point...

We, you and I and people all over the world who have an interest in it, are living through this case more so than any other I've ever experienced. Even chatty Jodi Arias, and her need to talk and talk and talk to the media, doesn't compare.

If you want to walk through a case, beginning to end, this is your case.

But be warned. At some point, it gets to you. This isn't the standard interrogation and sentencing they release. This is EVERYTHING, including home video's at length.

So I closed my laptop and felt sick. And wanted to cry, to be honest. Because this is evil and we are all walking through it.

Perhaps sometimes what starts out as an understandable strong sense for a need of justice can take you down a dark, ghastly rabbit hole you do not want to go down.

No judgement, please understand. I'm here, right with you. I just needed to vent about this case.

I wonder what made me wonder about it so much. I love detective stories, maybe this is why. Possibly, because it happened before; it will happen again.

It is good that the DA’s office released it all. People’s mind works so strangely. Unless they dumped all the info, there still would be suspicions à-la “Shanann did it” style.

Each time we read about something horrible, there are always “conspiracy theories” mushrooming around it. On the other hand, too much info is kept closed. You hear about a mass shooter and two weeks later, there would be nothing new to be found.

I think it is time to be maximally open about these cases. Maybe we shall find ways to prevent the crimes if we openly talk about them?

One thing to consider. Chris’s company is huge. I honestly believe that his marriage with Shanann was not perfect before NK, or deteriorated too rapidly. I know other large companies that offer not only free lawyers, but free counselors. Schools do it, of course, but why do we think that adults are better, or more protected? Perhaps if he spoke to an on-site counselor about his situation at home, not in June, but in January, there would have been no third pregnancy, no affair? Just, eventually, a civilized divorce?

Because now we are trying to guess why he took gas balloon with him... And what if he did plan to set it all on fire? How much would it have cost Andarko? A counselor on-site costs so much cheaper, and prevention is better.

Yes. They had a 51-minute phone conversation at 11 pm that evening.

He doesn’t really say anything, he comes out of the bedroom with the ring kind of dangling on the end of his finger and shows NUA.. it is easy to miss.
