I still don't understand why NK lied to the police and said she didn't know about the kids for a while and didn't know about the pregnancy. CW was "honest" with her about being married with kids and she said she appreciated it and she essentially says she would keep his secret that he had been flirting with her. CW also says he will keep their conversations between them. Even though NK expresses wanting a beautiful life like CW has and it seems like she was backing off-- putting CW in the friendship zone, etc, I think these two reached an understanding very early on that they would have an affair and be discreet about it-- in other words lie like crazy if caught in the affair. It would all be just between the two of them. They moved to texting after the emails. I don't see how NK thought it would not come out that she knew since the beginning about SW and the children. It's like she was more concerned about what LE would think about her for knowingly having an affair than she was about helping them in a quadruple murder investigation.

She is still protecting CW. Maybe eventually she won't. but I think she was still on his team after Aug. 13th.

Oh definitely I agree, it’s all about appearances not concern for SW or the girls, I think NK and CW are both narcissistic.

Anyone else feels after following cases on Websleuth that you can spot a narcissist much quicker? I know I can spot them and there's frankly way too many!
Another poster said they can spot one a million miles away. I feel I learned to fine tune my skills. I wish I had this knowledge as a teen when I was attracting abusive Narcs one after the other in my life.

Whatever CW experiences in prison cannot make up for what he put Shanann and her children (I won't say they were his) and her family through. While I won't wish him harm, I won't worry too much about him. He has no emotions. His family are liars. In their interview, all Cindy talked about was how hard the relationship was on HER. She is as selfish as CW. She could have had some grace and apologized to Shanann's family, but she has chosen to trash Shanann and she obviously had no grandmotherly love for the girls, no concern for the unborn baby, like it didn't exist. Not a good person. Then Ronnie said if CW had done it all, he could accept that. This is not love. These people created CW's personality. They are treating this like a game and think CW must score enough points to win, ergo, trying to use a letter CW wrote as defense. He is a habitual liar. Cindy seemed to have no problem with him having an affair. She was glad of anything that would break the marriage up. Too bad Cindy and Ronnie can't be sued for pain and suffering by Shanann's family.

It’s definitly helped me to be able to recognise a narcissist better than I did before this case. I had my suspicions before but it’s confirmed for me that my so called partner, now ex partner and the father of my child is a narcissist but not a covert one. His relationship with me and his bond with his child is so superficial that he could go months without seeing me or her, letting me beg him to come and live with us and help me to bring his child up. Always taking his friends and families side over that of me and his child. And the most creepiest part is that his birthday is within days of CW. This case has helped me to finally cut ties with him. I know I shouldn’t bring personal experiences to this site but the similarities between CW and my now ex narc partner are scary.

I was surprised at her handling of the dog too, I think that was the trauma-detection dog. I don't know why they didn't switch off the fans before they started.

Somewhere LE asked CW about the time from when they had died until he put them in the truck, and his response was not very long or something similar. He was probably aware that the dogs would try to track the scent.

Pg 331 (Discovery pg 378) says "Kessinger became concerned on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, after Watts family had still not been heard from or located, so she contacted law enforcement in order to advise law enforcement of her relationship and offer possible assistance locating the missing persons."

I am not sure if this means she called LE on the 14th or if that was simply the day she became "concerned." We do know that it was the day she erased all evidence of CW from her phone.

Definitely! Coder could make millions in a career in sales, IMO. He "sold" a polygraph without CW even thinking about getting a lawyer. So thankful he chose a career in LE and he helped nail this bad boy. Same goes for Tammy. The CBI is fortunate to have them and so are the citizens of the state of Colorado.

Exactly, and just like CW, they are so consumed with getting what they want, they can not see the obvious. Promoting the letter as if it proves their views of Shanann were correct when the fake letter actually proved premeditation when combined with all the other evidence.

So, did CW write that letter? OR did a Watts family member write it, and try to pass it off as evidence?

I don't remember that. The same page shows a call at 2112 hours (9:12 pm) from FPD that lasted 6 minutes. Where are you seeing the 2 am call?

I agree. She stated she wanted what Chris and Shan'ann had, she referred to herself as his mistress, she began googling Shan'ann in January 2018 and someone on here posted a wonderful and long list of every post NK would have seen. NK knew they were married and about to have another baby. In her own words NK said was jealous of Shanann and wished she had her life.

Yes, I believe he killed them all. I just found it curious that LE didn't include the girls with SW in the line of questioning. Wondered what other posters thought.

I just thought it was easier for him to admit killing his wife than it would be to admit killing 2 toddlers. People can sympathize with anger and resentment towards a spouse. But towards a 3 and 4 yr old? No, there is no excuse whatsoever.

So I think they focused on getting him to admit killing his wife first, imo.

Agreed. That man could get me to confess to my deepest, darkest secret (which at this moment is eating the last cookie in the cookie jar, lol). His voice is so calm and strong at the same time. He has such amazing patience as he knows CW is sitting there lying to him for hours. I love it when he finally tells CW that his story sounds a pile of horse crap (paraphrased).

Agree. I also loved how Coder introduced the notion of two CW's. He was correct in that, and he was trying to draw out the real CW and combined with Tammy and the polygraph, they got the real CW to come out of hiding.
