That letter still perplexes me. Such a stupid and novice letter- “if someone ate a cookie out of the cookie jar it wasn’t me”. Thou doth protest too much.

Anyway, Tammy and Coder didn’t ask him about this letter last month did they? I don’t remember it if they did. I wonder why they didn’t. It is such a strange piece of the puzzle and certainly does show premeditation. They asked about whether it was rage, etc, but never addressed the letter.

IIRC, that letter never surfaced. If LE has even heard about it, it doesn't appear they have ever acknowledged that it even exists, unless I've missed something big!

Certainly Ronnie knew about it before CW confessed it to the interrogators. When Ronnie came into the room, CW said to him, "I told them about the affair." He knew. Precisely when he knew is another question though. I'm guessing it's probably also before the "liberated myself" text regarding deletion of facebook account. But that's just a guess.

JMO, I think he told his parents about NK when he visited them when he was in NC - probably when he told them he "didn't love Shanann no more".

If you skip ahead towards the end of the newscast video found in this link, they confirm the letter was in CW's sister's possession for safekeeping. The mother and sister handed it over to the podperson who wrote that ridiculous letter on their behalf to the judge, I believe.

Thanks - I found the letter on YT. They showed other examples of CW's handwriting, and I'm no expert, but it looks like his writing.

I seem to recall DA Rourke being asked about the letter and he said "what letter"? I got the impression he'd heard about it, but never got a copy of it. It's not in the discovery.

If the sister brought the letter to the attention of his defense, my guess is the defense would not want to touch it with a ten foot pole because that letter could be used against CW as evidence of his pre-planning.

I imagine that the meeting CW had with his parents and sister when he was in NC was full of some crazy drama regarding Shanann being evil and ready to commit murder. The exact opposite was true as CW was the one who was ready to commit murder.

A few pages back, I asked about this change of date. I have not found any reasons given for the change to July 17.

According to the Weld County Trustee, the change was official.

@Colorado303 - Are you or any other friends/neighbors aware of the postponement? Or any investigators being at the house? It seems that any evidence would have been removed when the house was cleaned out.

I read about it in the media like everyone else. I believe Title is back w/the lender so I assume it was the bank’s decision to postpone the date r/t LE. The house has been cleared by LE for months now. I don’t think banks generally update previous/foreclosed owners on auction status so I doubt the family has info but if I hear differently I’ll let you know.

Anyone more familiar w/forclosure auction process/procedures please chime in.

Not sure what’s been published so it may not be common knowledge the family elected to let the house foreclose rather than making the 7-8 months of missed mortgage payments. (Payments hadn’t been made since CW was arrested).

There's something that really sticks in my craw and it's the fact that Shanann was always the one in control of everything, but in a good way, the home, the finances, taking care of everybody.. Chris was like a baby but their relationship worked and both were comfortable with it and then when she became pregnant the third time she was dealing with somebody that she did not know, like a stranger, he became distant and in his mind blamed her for his abandonment but meanwhile was infatuated with some piece of you know what! And it really irks me that it would be confusing and hurtful to deal with somebody like that let alone be pregnant with your third child and far away and dealing with that... he took total advantage of the situation and so did his paramour at the time!!! It's just so wrong when your pregnant your hormones are raging and you're insecure as it is let alone the mind games that were played and just based on that he could be held accountable before the major horror even began!!

Regarding the home I had this strange thought that maybe he lied about killing the kids at the oil site so that the house would not be so macabre? First of all I never believed his story anyway but that was just a thought I had

Pregnant women are vulnerable. I remember, in my first pregnancy, how shocking it was when a co-worker (who wanted my job) took advantage of my vulnerability to mount a weird attack on me. Fortunately my boss and co-workers didn't go along with it, but it was incredibly stressful. At the time, they pointed out to her that I was pregnant, as if she had somehow forgotten, but it seems pretty obvious she was extremely aware.

I've listened to NK's interviews several times. It is torture for me. I'd rather listen to fingernails on a chalkboard! Her contradictions are many. It would be interesting to come up with a list, though that would be very time-consuming to construct.

On the subject of an alibi for NK, I was operating under the assumption that her buddy Jim was at her apartment Sunday night, and my assumption was incorrect. If she was with someone else, we don't know who she was with. She may have no alibi.

Very early Monday morning, NK's cell phone pinged off the cell tower in Frederick. I've never seen that really explained.

I also don't think she was there for the murders, but there are a lot of things I question in terms of NK, what she knew, and when she knew it. I believe that LE was able to get many of the deleted texts and that information wasn't in the doc dump.

To start:

In her interview with the CBI agent, she states she told CW to work on his marriage when he was in NC. She said she told him to take a step back and try to fix things with Shanann and then she sent him numerous naked and semi-naked photos when he was there.

She said CW lied to her about everything. I'm sure he lied about plenty, but he didn't lie to her about everything. There's a June 12 email and in it she acknowledges his wife and little daughters and this was supposedly when they were still in the flirting stage, before the physical affair began.

She told the FBI she was in CW's house one time. She was there at least twice.

In the CBI interview, she is acting like she can't figure out how to transfer her contacts on her cell phone, but she was plenty tech savvy when she wiped out all of her text messages with CW.

She wasn't truthful with the CBI about what she told her friend Charlotte about CW.

You'll have to listen to the interviews - you will find more.

The icing on the cake is her interview with the Denver Post. She claimed she hardly knew CW.

ETA: She claimed she deleted the text messages with CW because she was upset with him and didn't want any trace of him in her life. LE found she googled can cops can find deleted text messages.

This part was also where NK said she told CW to work on the marriage. But according to CW, NK freaked out at him for leaving her to go talk to Shan’ann when SW called him while he was at NKs apartment. That this was also when NK said she’d always come second to the kids and that she was “pissed”.

I thought it odd that every one of CW's co-workers knew CW was married. Except NK, who saw him every day. Every one of CW's co-workers knew SW was pregnant. Except NK, of course.

All of CW's co-workers said it was out of the norm for CW to go directly to CERVI the morning of the murders. Except NK, who said it was a little odd, but not too unusual.

NK said she didn't know Shanann's name. How did she google SW if she didn't know her name?

How about when she describes the perrrrrrrrrrrfect apartment she found for CW - in the right area, close to the girls' school...? Huh? Prior to that, in the same interview, she said she didn't know where the girls went to school!
