She was probably trying to get a feel for how the public was going to respond to her. Imo
It was about the same time she googled asking how much money Amber Fry made on her book deal. It was very soon after they went missing—no shock, no remorse, no concern other than how it might effect what people thought of her. And somehow in the midst of the horror and tragedy she saw it as an opportunity to make some money.

Loathsome, selfish individual and a liar to boot. No redeeming value to her whatsoever IMO. I hope she never crawls out of whatever rock she’s hiding under. Ever.

It's like poking one's head into a cesspool. One reason I won't buy that book is because I don't want to see it on my bookshelf and know that pure evil is right in there. I will read it, I know, a little hypocritical, I just don't want to run across the book on the shelf and be brought into that dirty but very sad place by accident.
I won't read either one of them. So sick of these disgusting garbage humans, and authors, and talk shows sell outs like Dr. Phil " Chris Watts Story". No it's Shannan,Bella,Celeste, and Nico's story.

Intuitive people will not back down.
This neighbor, early on was so focused, so sure.
AND how ironic that a video of a baby in the womb played in front of CW.

So now there's been a new chapter/forward released from Cindy's book written by the author Kathleen H which is supposedly in the form of rhetorical questions and sarcasm pointing out that CW's lies don't make any sense.
IMO the purpose of that chapter is because the Watts are trying to discredit all of CW's confessions since they still want to blame Shanann for the murders one way or the other.
They also discredit CW's confessions in the exact same way on the conspiracy sites.
It's not sarcasm (IMO), they mean it literally and want people to question why he would still be 'protecting' Shanann.
I absolutely believe Cherlyn Cadle was telling the truth about Cindy wanting her to sell that narrative about Shanann being the 'real killer', which was their plan A, IMO.

They have been working hard to discredit everything CW told Cadle, just like they worked so hard at discrediting her.
I think the main takeaway from Cadle's book was that CW finally admitted to planning the murders and feeling nothing but relief afterward, which totally matched his behavior and actions afterward.
This is why the Watts have been on a mission to discredit Cadle's book and now they want people to buy the 'rhetorical questions' and 'sarcasm' BS in Cindy's book.
With Cindy's book, they are now admitting he killed them all (plan B) but still blaming Shanann anyway, along with trying to insinuate that she abused her girls, IMO.
I hope people don't fall for their lies again. JMO

The Narcissist's Prayer
That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did...you deserved it.

Nate the neighbour is a complete hero. As is Shan’ann’s friend’s son - I think he had CW summed up from the start, too. CW would never have gotten away with his horrific crimes, but I really believe Nate, Nicole and Nick helped speed up the whole process. TG for them.

Cindy via her author proposes that CW killed the kids because they would have eventually revealed that SW had been abusing them and excuses his disposal of their bodies in crude oil...all to save SW's reputation (hiding the bodies from discovery of the abuse). Voila, yes he killed them but it was for the highest purpose, thus awarding him an extra step up the ladder in heaven, now that he's saved.
I find this particularly insidious, as someone else pointed out this is presented as sarcasm and "innocent" rhetorical questioning, however the parallel theory was not presented that HE HIMSELF was abusing the children thus he murdered them to save his OWN reputation, which would be far more likely had abuse occurred. I don't think either of them abused their children except for the final gruesome unheard of deathly abuse by their father, but if "abuse" is raised as a possibility by SW, it has to be at least as possible by the father.
Sorry, this strikes me as just plain filthy, and it has MIL's fingerprints all over it. I can hardly type about it, I get so upset. She is trying to kill SW again, whatever might be left of her after her son choked the life out of her and slaughtered her babies, MIL wants to wipe any favorable impression of the victim right off the face of the earth. What a horrible excuse for a human being and so is that slimy creepy spokesperson.
Isn't it about time to ask "when" that family learned about CW's attempted murder of SW in NC? And "If" they went to the police?

That woman is pure poison. Shame on anyone giving her a platform to wage her hate campaign.

Exactly! The author (Kathleen H) claims that murders are always committed for money, sex or to hide secrets. Her main focus is to discredit Cadle's supposed claim that CW's motive was to prevent NK from finding out about Shanann's pregnancy. Kathleen claims since NK must have already known about the pregnancy, then that couldn't have been his motive, which I actually agree with. But then using her absurd 'logic', she proceeds to speculate whether Shanann abused the girls and asks if that is the real secret he wants to hide.

Kathleen claims that they were about to lose their house which isn't true. They were NOT months behind on their mortgage when he murdered them. They had at least $150K in equity, so they could have sold the house and paid off all of their debt. In Cadle's book she says CW knew that Shanann would have locked him out of the house if she knew about NK, so maybe that prompted him to murder before she could do that.

Kathleen also repeatedly asks CW "why did you kill the children" and points out that CW had their medical records sealed and refuses to give his parents POA to reopen. Well, I'm not sure her claim about having the records sealed is true, but I did see a rumor from last October that CW raped Bella and Cece before murdering them, which I dismissed as fake. Is it even possible he could have made it part of his plea to get that horrible info withheld?

As for why he killed Bella and Cece, the answer is obvious. He did it to have a fresh start with his mistress, just as DA Rourke has always said. Cadle also came to that obvious conclusion in her book: "The answer, I'm afraid, is easy: He did it to clear his life and start over with Nikki."

I wish someone would clear this up for me (senior moments? I just don't remember seeing proof):
1) any part of the autopsies were withheld except yes the photos
2) CW signed his plea deal, and then some time after that he signed some side deal to withhold certain of the kids' medical records. and, if true,
3) he wouldn't let anyone see them

Reisch says that any agreements to withhold docs, or whatever item, during a plea deal would be listed ON THE PLEA DEAL, not signed some other day afterwards. I don't remember seeing anything like that on the document circulated after his plea deal that showed all of the murders and other felonies he had admitted to have committed.
So where is all this coming from about withheld HIPAA records? And the rest I listed above? Why would he have the power to withhold any records at all?

Maybe @gitana1 or @riolove77 can give us some input on whether it would have been on record if CW wanted Bella and Cece's medical records sealed as part of his plea deal.

JMO but I think it's just more stupid lies from the Watts that they think people won't question and verify, just like stupid, evil CW thought everyone would just buy his story about his 'spiteful' pregnant wife leaving him and taking his 'beloved' daughters, never to be seen again.

Is the Cadle book the first time this has been claimed? RE sealed medical records?

I think that's the only thing from Cadle's book that Cindy decided to run with because she stupidly thought they could transition into speculation about whether Shanann abused the girls. I really think it's just more conspiracy garbage like the CPS claim about Shanann, which Cadle actually debunked in her book.

Wow, I was just reading about another case which is earily similar to - Chris Coleman who killed his wife Sheri and 2 boys Garrett and Gavin. Men eradicating their families to start all over with a new lover.

Sickening...

Apologies, I am confused? Have you got the authors confused? Didn't Cadle say the things in your paras 2 and 3 above? Also, would HIPPA not prevent the release of any medical records? Finally, any sexual abuse of the type you mention would have showed on the autopsy (it didn't) and I cannot see any reason why the DA would have agreed to witholding this information. IMO if this was the case, there would have been no witholding of the DP.

Cindy Watts book now has ghost writer and first chapter starting off the with a major Shanann denigration theme....rhetorical question of course! Chris did you kill your children because they were about to squeal on their mother's abuse of them? They could have told teachers the very next day that Mommy was molesting them!! So, Cindy/ghost writer propose that Chris killed the kids to save Shan'ann's reputation, without similar "only rhetorical" question that perhaps he killed them because HE was molesting them....

Let me get this straight. Cindy claims CW killed his family to protect Shannan? That’s absurd. I still get recommendations on YouTube when videos about Shannan’s murder pop up and DAILY someone posts a new video about this whole ordeal. Their finances, the books etc. One thing I’ve learned from the internet is there are more ignorant people than I ever imagined. This site is a safe haven. I never have to brace myself for outrageous claims or stupidity when I read here. I do understand people’s obsession with this case, but we have literally been handed so much information from the charging documents as well as all the interviews it makes no sense to me why people are adding more crap and looking elsewhere for info.

SBM it makes no sense to me why people are adding more crap and looking elsewhere for info.
Here we are all familiar with charging docs, interviews, etc. I think I've listened to most of the interviews about 5 times each.
But well informed readers are a very small community.
The books like Cadle's have some value IMO because she got him to actually write his thoughts down for posterity, which will be hard for the MIL to suppress. But her chapter 5 was chock full of SW denigration. Unfortunately this and other books will be forming the mind set of millions of people beyond those of us who post here.
So, when a book is introduced, allegedly to tell the "side" of the killer's mother, that starts off with, paraphrased "Shan'ann was abusing her daughters, so Chris killed them to help protect her reputation, but this is just rhetorical musing" I think it's real important to know what's going on, and to voice an opinion to stop that line of thought from being broadcast to the millions who don't know anything about the case.
