I know it's their home base and almost added that. However, it's at least a big city. They can't know everyone.
How would that not bode well for LS? I don't understand. At least she wouldn't have to travel.
What I’m thinking is whatever field you are in, you must connect with those around you. Courts, parties, friends, connections. LS is not in the group there. It just seems she would be at a disadvantage, regardless of her knowledge and expertise. I think Denver would be in BM’s favor. JMO

She is just one of several reporters. If there is an issue with her ability to report I think would first be discussed with the station and their lawyers.I have her in my tweet list along with several other reporters.
I wasn’t talking about Lauren I was referring to the DA. I’m sorry. Aren’t her initials LS? If not forgive me everyone.

LS is based in Colorado Springs at Fox 21 news
LS refers to Linda Stanley, prosecuting District Attorney.
I never mentioned a reporter but I thank each of you for noticing.

That makes more sense. She and her team are in an uphill battle no matter where the trial takes place or who the judge is in my opinion. But I have held that opinion for many months and so little as occurred in the court to sway me yet.

Legally speaking, I think they made the correct decision to drop the trespassing charges. I don't think a jury would convict someone for trying to retrieve a package that was supposed to go to their home.

Jurors tend to think 'what if I was the defendant?' Would I be trespassing if I was trying to get a package meant for my house insteAd of the house it was delivered to?

I think the prosecution realised it would probably be 'not guilty' and that would have been a bad look for them, imo.
I'm confused.....was the package addressed to SD or someone else? If someone else, then SD is a third party to the package...since BM has a different address than SD...correct? So, technically, the package wasn't meant for "her" house...which means she did not have a direct personal interest in the package.....jmo.

They dropped the charges so it's all moot anyway. Barry knew he shouldn't go over there and pick up the package. That would have been very foolish. Someone had to pick it up for him.

So, apparently, a posted sign reading "No Trespassing" is just a request...and one which can be ignored.

They don’t need a different judge to file motions. Whoever presides will hear the motions. From day one I have expected them to challenge admissibility of a number of things as the trial neared. The judge even told the prosecutor there were things in the AA that would probably not be admissible.
Judge Murphy signed the warrants for SD home and I am not saying they couldn’t file those motions but I think they want a different judge to rule on it just my opinion

No it is something that is generally handled in many different ways by local law enforcement. Every state is different as to the 'weight' legally of a single no trespassing sign and Colorado is stricter than most but most LE aren't going to go to the extent they did given the circumstances. And she exercised her right to have a jury decide if her intent was criminal. Prosecution decided not to go forth and dropped it. Some of the considerations generally weighed are how much malicious damage the trespasser did. Prosecution is claiming the homeowner wanted to press charges and that is why they pursued charges. LE and prosecutors make decisions every single day whether or not to write tickets, make an arrest, prosecute a case. Things are rarely black and white.

Thanks, even though you weren't responding to me. :)
No idea why I thought she was based in Denver. Still, this change of venue would cut the drive in half.

Yup. Apparently even if your purpose is to retrieve a package for someone who has been court ordered to stay away from that property as one of their bond conditions.

Don't be sorry, my bad! That's pretty funny and now makes a ton of sense.

Yup. I guess I have more important issues to be morally outraged about than her picking up his misdelievered package.

Since it is the beginning of a new year, I'd like to remind everyone of what Barry did to Suzanne on May 9 - 10 2021. What kind of person chases his children's mother, on Mother's Day Weekend, with a tranquilizer dart gun? I'd like to know if Agent Grusing considers Barry to be evil. I sure do!

'Since January 2021, Barry has admitted to: chasing a chipmunk with a gun around the house while Susan was outside sunbathing, shooting a deer with a tranquilizer dart to explain a dart and needle cap in the dryer, disposing of the tranquilizer solution during this trip to Broomfield, following a bull elk down Highway 50 in the 4:00 AM hour on the May 10th to explain why his truck would be headed west (where [a] helmet was discarded), and finally stating to the FBI on April 22, 2021 that he looks guilty from the evidence and God allowed these things to happen,' according to the affidavit.

Barry Morphew 'hunted and controlled' wife Suzanne and told cops he was 'chasing chipmunks' at home | Daily Mail Online

I wonder if Suzanne had her cell phone with her while Barry was chasing her with the tranquilizer dart gun. We know Barry was carrying his due to the "frantic pinging". Would the two phones' pings match during these terrifying moments of Suzanne's last moments alive?

On March 5 of this year, 10 months after the disappearance of Suzanne Morphew, her husband Barry asked two FBI agents, "What about immunity? Can you give me immunity if I just sit and open my life to you?"

... Grusing testified that he and Harris suspected the tranquilizer gun, described as .22 caliber, had been used on May 9 and asked a veterinarian who worked with Colorado Parks and Wildlife what effect a tranquilizer dart would have on a 120-pound woman.

The veterinarian said full sedation would occur within minutes and would last for about eight hours. The affected person would run for 2 to 3 minutes before they would start to feel wobbly and unstable, according to the testimony. The veterinarian told the FBI agents that the person's breathing would become difficult because of cerebral hypoxia -- when the brain doesn't get enough oxygen -- and would sound like a snore, Grusing testified.

Barry Morphew asked investigators: 'What about immunity?'
When he asked Grusing and Harris 'What about Immunity', he was admitting he did it. He killed Suzanne.

Of course he was. Unfortunately, that's as close as he'll likely ever come to a confession.

The video of that conversation is going to be devastating.

I'm in the PH about where they're talking about Suzanne's interactions with the girls from SO's statements. And I can't imagine being the girls and being discussed here while sitting in the room:

Lindsey: And to some extent, looking at that middle text box, Agent Harris, Suzanne's text seems to indicate that MM2 is actually becoming an advocate for her. Does SO talk to you about that part of this relationship?

Harris: Just the fact that Susanne talked to her in text and conversations about the fact that MM2 was encouraging her to think about going out on her own and separating.

Lindsey: Go to 22, please. First text box there on the left, Agent Harris.

Harris: Yeah.

Lindsey: When we have a restraining order and then we have like a sad face emoji. It says, “I'm sick I had a conversation like that with my 16 year old.” Agent Harris, did SO talk to you about this line of text during your conversations with her?

Harris: Yeah and later on she refers to MM2 -- specifically Sheila does -- and that this is talking about the fact that MM2 mentioned to Suzanne possibly getting a restraining order and that Suzanne was -- didn't feel great about having those conversations with her 16 year old daughter.

...

Lindsey: And Agent Harris, if we move off to the right there there's a text message from Suzanne that says, “He will make a scene and use the players.” Who does SO know to be -- what are the players?

Harris: The players, again, this is where he's pulling the girls in.

Lindsey: MM1 and MM2?

A Harris: MM2 and MM2, yes.

...

Lindsey: If we can go to 25, please. So, when we're looking at 25 it speaks for itself. We can move to 26 please. In the context of this text message between Sheila and Suzanne if you could start at the last text box on the far left and work your way to the middle one ending with, “Makes me wonder what the young me was thinking.” What does SO understand that to mean, Agent Harris?

Harris: That SO and Suzanne had just talked at this point about in the struggle of their marriage, you know, Suzanne would often look back and just was trying to wonder exactly what she says, what was the young me thinking in terms of getting into the marriage in the first place.

Lindsey: Then if you follow over to that middle text message, “I have regrets but MM1 and MM2 are the sweetest parts of this.”

Harris: Yeah.

Lindsey: What did SO understand her relationship with those two girls was?

Harris: Sheila understood that the girls were in many ways the center of Suzanne's world and so you know she remembers getting this text and just the fact that, you know, after all the struggles MM2 and MM2 were something that she had, of course, no regrets for and that her life was focused around.

At least they got that last message from their mother.
