Based on MG's statements about Saturday, something on BM's phone was completely distracting to him, causing him to abruptly stop work and return home. Rattled.
Was SM ignoring him? What was SM doing during this time?

Maybe it wasn't his phone calls/texts that were distracting him...

In a text to Shelia, Suzanne said maybe she could get her money back in January, so that text would have been late 2019 I suppose. Reading through the time line you can feel the tension escalating by the day, especially that last week, it was over the top.

I can’t buy that friending 3 "Jeff's" was coincidental, whether it was done by Barry or Suzanne I’m not sure. I can’t help but wonder now, was Barry actually looking at Suzanne’s phone in real time. Spyware has been around since 2013. I think he finally had a name. Suppose he was right there, real time, on a device watching her interactions with Jeff that last day, that last week.

I'm pretty sure that came from a family member and not directly from Barry or that the Daily Mail "misunderstood" as they were the first to report that rumor.

I don't know what I'm allowed to say considering I'm not verified, but I have this knowledge. lol. From my experience there is a big difference in run of the mill criminal cases and high profile ones like this. In the usual case, when you're pretty sure your client is guilty you absolutely prepare them for the worst and focus heavily on plea deals. Because in those cases, you get paid the same regardless of the outcome. You sleep well knowing justice was served and that your client still got good representation and you move on with the next job.

In high profile cases like this, attorneys will often take the case on even a reduced fee basis because if they win, it is like hitting the PR jackpot. I'll fully admit that these women could be super high profile already and I just don't recognize them but if they were not legal superstars before, you better believe they are going to be going for broke to win this case outright. Once you win a major profile case like this you can charge an absolute fortune. If your client takes a plea, not so much.

Barry, MM1 and MM2 seemed more relaxed and carefree as they walked together last week.

Just wondering where this came from and thought of the attorneys giving them confidence.

Sure they are coached to look supportive but they did look more naturally relaxed.

IMO I think their "brand" would better serve defense if they walked side-by- side, drop the hand holding, no coffees, and dressed in casual business attire.
No wide smiles but in relaxed confidence walk straight ahead.
It might help the daughters to focus on entry doors and mentally block everything else.

Their lives must feel surreal.

My guess is a little less savvy than spyware. I think he was watching her via a hidden camera but I totally agree with you otherwise. He definitely overheard "Jeff" at some point Friday which led to the fb requests. Note that on page 87 of the AA, the investigators are questioning BM real hard about cameras. He even admits there that he sometimes uses his game cameras to see if anyone was coming up the drive and says that SM was sure he was spying on her inside the house as well (although he denies this). On pg. 95 they ask BM if Suzanne had talked to him about him "seeing her on her phone" Apparently the investigators were also suspicious that some of these had been thrown away because they question him about that pg. 117.

Pg. 96 is interesting from the camera angle as well- BM confirms that he can see the camera feed with his phone but only when he has wifi or cell service and he says the cell service is "spotty" at the house. I wish I could find a topo map of the area around the PP property, I'm wondering how he was able to do anything on his phone down by the river on Friday night since wifi surely couldn't reach that far and with spotty service and all.

I believe it's noted in the AA that the telematics for Suzanne's vehicle were not complete yet at the time of the AA being written. I don't know how a year later, but maybe backlog? Going to check the exact wording, but I recall it was noted they did not have any data for her vehicle yet.

Looking at a topographical map and it seems the house was in a bit of a lower point, then to the east between the house and the RV park there seems to be a higher area and then south it seems also to show elevation above the house level.

Things we might know:

Barry replaced his Bobcat blade on Saturday. Presumably MG was using that Bobcat that morning. Did she note anything? The guy who replaced it, did he? Was it a necessary replacement? We know Barry's cheap -- if it didn't need replacing, would he have? Unless he had a greater need than saving money.

Barry seems to have driven by the backhoe -- did he stop? Did he touch it? What was the purpose of that call? To locate the backhoe or to locate the backhoe owner? (Make sure he wasn't with his backhoe.)

By the time LE laid eyes on the Bobcat, the arm pin was -- what? -- removed? Loose bolts from....?

Assuredly it wasn't in that condition when he left Salida with the new blade so why?????

We know Barry operated the Bobcat at least once. To detrailer it in order to unhitch the trailer with it. When did he do this? Is this action recorded somewhere? And if not, why?

The Defense seems to think that the telematics from the Bobcat are exculpatory, at least for the Bobcat. As of the date of the AA, the Prosecution gave the Bobcat a pass.

But...

There's a possibility that SIM cards can be swapped.

There remains this matter of the dog hits.

This footprint, was it a print in dirt in the bucket? Was it on the metal? How pristine was the blade?

Is it possible that Barry used the Bobcat overnight, for transport?

There are a lot of moving parts here.

The new blade on the BobCat blade would have been in new condition with nothing on it except for some road dirt when he brought it home from DSI.

According to the AA, his activities on Saturday afternoon didn't involve using the BobCat. When did he remove the pin and why were there nuts and bolts in the bucket, and at what time did he remove the BobCat from the trailer. What was he doing to it? How and why and at what time did the footprint get inside the bucket?

Where did the dirt on the trailer come from? Was it at the beach site where he was that Saturday morning or somewhere else? If he or MG used the BobCat that morning, then I'd think that's where the dirt came from. He was also at the beach site Friday night. What was he doing?

The three dogs alerted to the BobCat as well as the dirt on the trailer. Is this as big of a mystery as it seems to be or is there more we're not privy to. Yet.

I notice he says he didn't take her... phone that day. So which day then did he take it?

In my family, my husband is the only one working outside the home. I have at times worked outside the home and other times did not. No matter what the dynaic was, I never have felt I don't deserve any of the money or to spend money. I don't "ask" for money, matter of fact I pay the bills and have a much better grasp on what we have and where, what we owe to who, when things get paid, etc. I handled the bills. Being home with the kids is a family decision and the money earned by anyone is also "family" money. It really really bothers me when either partner/parent is at home and the one working outside the home behaves as if that is only their money and they can say what others can and can't do. I get having discussions and in my family we do discuss larger purchases, just out of respect. I can't think of a single time my spouse has said they didn't want me to get something I wanted to purchase. It's just so sad to me that someone dedicating their time to being home for their children, to take care of the home and in Suzanne's case it seems she volunteered, she was getting cancer treatment, working on her health, etc... and he is her ATM. It is a form of control and abuse.

When these things are mentioned, I try to think of my own relationship and if something is said, could it be a joke, or just I don't know odd wording and just maybe find a rational reason it was said. I can't come up with one here. Why a husband would say that to LE when his wife is missing. He must think it's okay and he is the ATM. Otherwise, why say that? I feel Barry repeatedly inserted these comments.

He’s a chauvinist pig. The term was coined for guys just like him. Suzanne didn’t have enough of a cross to bear with going through cancer twice. She had to be married to Barry while dealing with it.

For the most part, those old patriarchal ideas died out as more and more women, who were mothers, started working outside the home. Barry was likely brought up in a household with rigid ideas as to gender roles.

I wonder how he’d feel if some man treated one of his daughters the way he treated Suzanne? Rhetorical. He’d probably side with the man.

Is Andy's search info allowed to be discussed here? I am looking at reports from his search and came across the 3 locations search dogs hit during his search. Was curious if that has been discussed? One was close to their home and the other 2 seems to be further away.

I was also looking closer at the area around their home on Puma Path. Looking at the land and terrain trying to get a feel for it. I think in my mind I had the home situated a different way and still trying to piece it together with the pictures we've seen and then the maps. The back of the house was facing the river. I found a real estate description that said natural stone stairs down to the river. Looking at the overhead view it seems those stairs are closest to where Barry backed his truck up to the night of the 9th and also where the trailer and bobcat where parked.

Do we know where the hot tub was located? I've searched every online listing I can find (realtor.com, zillow, etc) and no photos of the hot tub, but it is mentioned in the listings.

Also, it would seem that Barry's "garage" was the third stall of the 3 car garage. I was trying to figure out if there was a separate place he had his safe and all this "junk", but I don't see anything. I see in the police body cam video that Suzanne's car is in the first stall (one to the left) and MM2's car is in the middle stall, so that leaves the far right stall for Barry to have his tools, the safe and the guns we see in the photo. Is this what everyone thinks?

I would imagine it would take quite a few up and down repetitive movements to work itself out.
