Honestly, not one person immediately involved in this case comes out smelling like a rose in my opinion...Maybe Grusing :) and Speeze, but no one else I can think of off the top of my head. I think early perceptions were based on outward appearances, personal projections and all the bells and whistles of a small town and an upper middle class family...and then it all starts coming out.
BUT there seem to be several buddies of BM, male or female, who support him and believe in his innocence. They like the smell. ;)

What was Barry doing overnight on Friday? Why was he go agitated at the beachsite the next morning? Why did he cut the day short at 11?
Very important to know! - I trust MG with her description of BM's behavior.

Does anyone know what we can expect from this week's court hearing?

Has defense stated specifically what they plan to introduce or challenge?

I agree. I think they had a big fight Friday night that put Barry in a foul mood Saturday morning and so he knocked off work.

I can't find the SG 11 model on Google, but I can find the SQ11. Assuming they are the same thing, this is not something Barry would ever use as a game camera, as he claimed.

After Barry's shotgun escapade during Andy's search in which he was installing game cameras, I got the idea to buy one myself, here's a coyote it captured (Thanks Barry).

They are weather resistant, and way more effective than some tiny 30 dollar device.

That (sq11 or whatever) is absolutely a spy camera, and he would have purchased it as such. He had no shortage of game cameras, and he would never use something like that tiny little thing for that purpose.

He also claimed to not recall when he purchased it, as Grusing was trying to date it around the time of Suzanne's disappearance.

As we know by now, "I don't recall" is a lie. I have little doubt that camera was in use prior to Suzanne's disappearance, and I would bet money that it captured things that enraged him that week.

If not the very day in question.

That is one healthy looking coyote.

I found the SQ11 as well, it's like Suzanne's spy pen in that it had to be turned off and connected via cable to download and watch the video.

If Barry was calm enough to stand outside the bedroom door for two minutes, why didn't he pin the lock? (Often the pin sits above the door frame -- to give access -- like if a child gets locked in a room accidentally or emergency personnel need access.)

He took the time. He waited.

If Suzanne still didn't know he was home (didn't hear his truck, didn't hear him moving around and in the house), it seems likely that she was in the shower. Was Barry waiting for the water to shut off?

That camera, motion activated? Sound activated? If it was in the bonus room, perhaps it was set to catch anyone entering the bedroom.

If it had been in the bonus room, did Barry relocate it after Suzanne accused him? Having trouble with it in her closet, only because she might find it.

In a mounted deer head seems more his style. Bedroom, bonus room, living room, kitchen....

He'd already taken his trail cams down. He didn't just redirect them. Didn’t want his tranquilizing recorded? Or didn't want his movements after dark recorded? Too coincidental so he was implementing some plan....

He was back there while Suzanne was communicating with JL. Was Barry aware of that session?

What was Barry doing overnight on Friday? Why was he go agitated at the beachsite the next morning? Why did he cut the day short at 11?

Wasn't Suzanne's first communication to JL well after that?

Or is there more from the morning and we just haven't heard about it?

So many questions still.

JMO
I've altered my timeline again. I believe now that the reason BM got all agitated while with MG while staring at his phone, is because moo is BM had a spy camera in her closet. The very closet that she took a picture in and sent it to JL.

As @Cindizzi posted earlier:
"Speaking of SM’s closet, after LE showed BM the sunbathing photo they showed him a photo that SM had texted to JL on Saturday morning and asked BM “ is that her closet?” BM said “ yep “.
He probably knew that she took selfies and used her phone in her walk in closet. JMO"

No, none of the motions have been posted to court documents yet. The judge has not ruled on the sanctions, but that is the only existing motion we know about. Anything else I think is new business. Something came up at the end of the last session that the judge said to prosecution he hoped prosecution was going to tell him it wasn't as bad as it looked....but we have no idea what is in the motion nor was there much afternoon information released by media so I'm guessing whatever it is it would be argued this week. I'm guessing the judge will check to make sure that the missing information on Suzanne's vehicle, laptop, icloud account has been turned over to defense as the judge requested giving prosecution 2 weeks to comply.... and who knows what else

A normal man would react like this. BM is far from normal. His ego is too large and his broad chauvinist shoulders are too wide.

Screenshot with page number for reference. The photo was sent with a series of texts with SM describing having pizza the night before ( Friday night) and BM discussing moving to Arizona.
Perhaps @sk716 has a reference for what time Saturday morning that occurred?

I think it's a far cry from 'smelling like a rose' to committing homicide. These people, all involved are human and flawed granted. Just like the rest of us.

BM took that same comparison to the extreme of one who committed murder. I'd say he stinks the worst by far.

Grusing and Speeze, are rockstars.

I don't know...there are things that happen in my personal life that impact my ability to concentrate at work and other things that don't. I am speculating they had a big fight and he couldn't concentrate on his work so called it a day. What he was "thinking" or what his plans really were for the day I can't say with any certainty. We know what he did say and that is all we know.

And that is why Barry is charged so far and no one else. But it's pretty obvious alot of people connected to this trial aren't saintly. Whether or not they will be credible witnesses for either side will be up to the jury.

Q Eytan: As you can see on May 7th, Ms. Morphew continues to text message between Mr. Libler a lot of the day, correct?

A Harris: Correct.

Q Eytan: But you remember from looking at the investigation that — and in your timeline — that at 4:43 on May 7th Ms. Morphew lets her husband, Barry, know she’s been studying all afternoon and had veggie soup on for dinner. You recall that?

A Harris: Yes, I recall that statement.

Q Eytan: And Ms. Morphew’s next report about Barry beingbetween the report about Barry to Mr. Libler is on May 9th at 8:21 am, the next report about Barry where she says to Mr. Libler after he asked her how her night was and she said, “I had a fine, quiet night. Picked up pizza and looked around town at houses for sale. Still talk of Arizona.” Correct?

A Harris: Correct.

Q Eytan: So Ms. Morphew is telling Mr. Libler that she had a fine night with Mr. Morphew on May 8th, correct?

A Harris: Yes.

MR. LINDSEY: Judge, I’m going to object. That’s very much speculation. Fine evening does not mean anything other than she had a fine evening and who she was with, or who she wasn’t with, it’s not in the text, that’s complete speculation.

THE COURT: It would help if we could get the testimony about the pizza. That got very confused because you had the date wrong.

So I think if we can establish that they had pizza on the 8th and on the 9th she said she had a fine night, I had pizza there’s a link there, but we don’t have the pizza part yet.

MS EYTAN: Okay.

BY MS. EYTAN:

Q Eytan: On May 8th at 7:15 pm Ms. Morphew lets Mr. Libler know that she can talk to him on WhatsApp.

A Harris: You said 7:15 on May 8th.

Q Eytan: Okay, we’re going to move off the pizza. Okay? let’s move to Suzanne’s secret bank account. On April 23, 2020. Suzanne’s Gmail account received a statement from her Green Dot account, correct?

A Harris: I’m actually —

MR. LINDSEY: I’m going to object. This is beyond the scope.

Maybe Barry reviewed contents of that little spy cam Friday night, which agitated him greatly. He changed the Saturday morning timing with Morgan if I remember correctly. He seemed distracted at the beach property. Then we have the oddities of all day Saturday-Barry could have been seething and Suzanne unaware. Then he heads home, Suzanne is not answering him, he is envisioning what she might be doing. Who knows what was on the little cam, and where he had placed it. Does a sweep of the grounds the way a hunter might, and then encounters a locked bedroom door. Loses it.

Thank you! I knew you would find it quicker than I could.

So the selfie SM took in her closet was texted to JL on Saturday May 9 around 8:21 a.m.

It’s interesting in and of itself. He could have literally broken dwn the entire door but instead we have a broken casing. Similar to the rage he must have felt exiting the truck and pounding every entrance in quick succession. IMO
Etb damn autocorrect lol

Re: The Broken Doorframe. Did you know there is a YT video entitled, "How To Replace And Repair Broken Door Jamb Kicked In Or Damaged"? Go figure. Anyhow, the fracture lines shown in several videos I watched are very similar to the damage shown in the AA.

As @Seattle1 pointed out, the force of banging/kicking on the door is transmitted to the hardware. Your objective is to allow enough wiggling of the latchplate so that the latch will disengage. The latchplate is typically held to the frame with two screws. Those two screws end up taking all the stress. Wood will typically split along the stress points, so it make sense to see that vertical split in the frame going through both the screw penetrations.

If this damage occured May 9, BM would likely have had to tighten the screws as part of his cover up.

This is a hoot @MassGuy that you went out and got a trail cam. I see how much all of us are learning from following this case.

Also, I haven't watched a Columbo episode in years, but watched one last week. I was reminded how he seems to immediately glom onto who the guilty party is. I'm not saying that's typical for LE, but it sure seems like Grusing et al channeled their inner Columbo in this instance.

And on a more serious note, that spy camera and BM's strange take on religion reminded me of Robert Hanssen. Didn't he try to convert strippers and didn't he put a spy camera up in his bedroom to film sex with his wife? Hanssen didn't murder his wife. He just spied for Russia.

I'm curious about his message that went unanswered. About the weather. Was it coded (to see if she was alone and could talk) or if he had actually looked up the weather, because he knew Suzanne was preparing for her bike ride. How would he know? Because Suzanne may have been in her closet on wa getting her biking clothes ready...

Rsbbm

I believe it was a code, its an innocuous question to someone not in the know, something that wouldn't cause too many questions for Suzanne if anyone but her saw the message.

Didn't SM say herself in a text that she had a quiet night and that they ate pizza??

And what device did Suzanne use for wa? The proof of life photo was with her phone, right? "Loading up wa" -- doesn't that sound like "on another device"?

Maybe she uninstalled and reinstalled WhatsApp each time? Seems odd phrasing 'load up' I don't load mine up, it's just there once installed (personally find it annoying and really creeps me out ;) but is convenient) seems she may go to that length to keep her relationship with JL hidden and I don't think Barry mentioned it as an app she used? I remember Snapchat and Facebook but don't recall WhatsApp, not that means anything :p
