"Somebody was looking for their family member and that's how our son was located," Corinna Montoya, James Montoya's mother, told the station. "Saguache County is getting a reputation for being called 'The Boneyard,' just because they've found over the years so many bodies or bones."

Barry Morphew's attorney, Iris Eytan, spoke to KDRO, who said investigators shouldn't be "pointing fingers" at her client, but instead trying to find suspects.

"What were the circumstances of their disappearances, what is cause and manner of death of the remains found in the area? What happened to them? Are they looking for other remains in this area? The public should demand answers about these five people who suspiciously went missing or were found dead in this area."

Longtime friends of Suzanne Morphew are remembering the Indiana native as the attorney for her husband again proclaims his innocence in her death.

Iirc - Barry told family he had, LE said otherwise

Until I find source will say JMO, MOO, IMO

Scrap that! Just found an article saying he'd refused - but it's the Sun, is that approved?
The Sun is no longer an approved source .

Funny (not funny), but I haven't heard LE say anything about BM in relation to this find.

Only the waterspout.

Oh, how I wish we could see the notification. Surely in person? Death notice to next of kin.

Did Barry remember to ask "where?"

Or was the blood draining from his vocal cords too fast?

I hope it's caught on bodycam.

Smaller truck was a 2016 I believe, so I'm assuming telemetrics would have been available? Another thought I have is that Barry attempted to disable telemetrics on the F350 and was unsuccessful...could he have been successful with the F250? Lots of questions and almost no answers sadly.
Yes, he did a "factory reset" some time in the late afternoon/early evening.

Lawyer for Suzanne Morphew’s husband Barry lashes out at accusers ‘blindly pointing finger back at him’ after Colorado mom’s body was found in a shallow grave in desert field - and suggests death may be work of serial killer.

Looks like there is a bunch of federally owned land around County Rd Q. What happens to the case if she was found on said land?

What needs to be done instead of pointing fingers at Barry Morphew, is asking the officials about the number of missing people and number of human remains that have been recovered in or from Saguache County in the recent past.
Whatever happened to Krystal Reisinger, Edna Quintana, Suzanne, the man whose remains were found by Saguache County Sheriff’s office in the foothills on July 26, 2023, or the remains of the person found in another area in Saguache County last weekend (more info to come from authorities tomorrow). What were the circumstances of their disappearances, what is cause and manner of death of the remains found in the area, what happened to them, are they looking for other remains in this area?
The public should demand answers about these five people who suspiciously went missing or were found dead in this area.

It seems Barry's camp is insinuating perhaps a serial killer is responsible? I don't know about these other cases but I do know that Krystal Reisinger's case seems totally 100% different to Suzanne's. Including the risk profile. You know...the likelihood a crime like this would happen given a person's lifestyle.

A comment to Twitter/X (by Lauren Scharf) says, BM owns the land, where Suzanne was found.

Have you all heard something about it also?
Does BM refer to Federally Owned land, or Barry Morphew. She must have meant federally owned land.

I would imagine the autopsy/toxicology/full report will take weeks or months....

Holding out for a grand jury indictment following that.

He looks good in orange.

In the mean time while LE is waiting on those results, I sure hope anyone who knows of Barry hunting in that area, visiting that area, or having any connections to that area she was found it will come forward to tell all. They need to connect him to that area so when he's charged again, there won't be any serious claims that she was abducted by a stranger and dumped there. If he hunted in that area, that would be huge. He can't claim he was never in that area or didn't even know about it. I don't believe he just decided to drive south and find a spot on a whim. I think he knew about that area and knew that is where he was going to take her once he made the decision to end her. So come on people, if you know he was connected to that area call it in!

I've even wondered if his girls know he has been there before. I really want to believe they know in their hearts what happened and didn't want to believe it, but now with their mom being found.. just maybe it will be enough for them to consider that their dad might be responsible and if they know anything they will speak up.

Mentions Polygraph refusal in here
IIRC, he'd told family members he did take one (and that was a lie) and then declined to actually take one when asked.

In other words, Barry being Barry. Lying at every turn.

So which is it, Federal or private land??

She doesn't believe that for one moment.

"This is a miracle. ❤️ It’s like looking for a needle in a haystack," Moorman Balzer said. "Colorado is a vast and rugged place and we have prayed that God would put light on where she is. We have been praying and here we are today. It’s day of great sadness, but a day of celebration."

I hope she writes a statement daily until he is penniless.
I've said from day one that I hope BM loses every single ill gotten penny (of Suzannes) and goes broke defending himself. This rotten man is going to pay eventually and that makes my heart so happy.

BLM Better to say for federal lands.

Just a note.
Nixon moved the US off the gold to be backed instead in large part by federal real estate.
Citizens own it.

To be honest I really did not expect her to be found ,and if she had been it would have been somewhere where he used his landscaping knowledge and tools to hide her. A shallow grave ,more than likely dug by hand, is not what I expected.
Really gives new perspective to those tools he took to the hotel that seemed so odd when the job up there required his bobcat not shovels.

My fear is that it is really up to BM himself. And I worry that his urge for total domination overrides any grace, and he will bury her close by and make a circus out of his visits, one daughter in each hand, every mothers day.
Hopefully he will be tried and convicted of Suzanne's murder so he won't be able to visit her grave. I do hope the girls allow Suzanne to be buried near her family in IN.

That is where the people who truly love and miss her are located including her parents, although didn't the father pass away too? IDK
