I think he wanted to shame/bully her into not taking her cancer meds/treatments so nature could just simply “take its course” you know, like it is for the deer.

Poor BM would be the grief stricken loyal husband (now widower) with a clean relationship slate and his wife’s inheritance. His daughters would still adore him and he would be there to help them through the grief.

Instead she kept her treatments up and was planning for the future. She had hope and she found her voice.

“I’m done!”

His intense planning began.
See my construction site? No?
Hike? No?
Fine, I’ll do it at home.

Comes home and wife is texting bikini pics to some other dude?

Plan is ENGAGED. (but he’s dumb as a stump)
If this was his plan, he is stupid AND mean. Cannabis wouldn’t have cured her but it would have helped relieve pain. I wish SM hadn’t felt she needed to take medical advice or instruction from a non-medical expert…

Grusing confirms that on March 5, when Morphew asked about immunity, he said he was asking in case of being falsely convicted. Morphew also said he held out hope that Suzanne would still come home or be found.

Agent Grusing asked #BarryMorphew if he was carrying any guilt? Barry had mentioned that "he had taken Suzanne for granted and put all of his eggs into hunting and money. I loved her with all my heart."

Remove the last sentence and this would be the first truthful statement he has made.

so the defense gets to again rehash this same stuff? what a waste of the court's time...again..
IMO
I guess it's all they've got? Very telling, if so.

#BarryMorphew was asked about where Suzanne's helmet was found. Nielsen is suggesting when Barry responded is it up some drainage road? that wasn't near where the helmet was found allegedly.

Guys I hate to say this but when I put my lawyer hat on I am just not seeing the kind of evidence I thought they would have. My only hope is that they are intentionally withholding evidence and only trying to get over the bare minimum PH threshold. Because it’s not great right now. The defense can poke holes in a lot of things I have seen thus far.

I agree completely and have continued to say so since the beginning. I am not getting the "bam" moments that everyone else is getting. It's all a big nothing-burger so far.

Just wondering if you can remove the fuse that controls speed gauge on F350. Would it disable the odometer? That's a super easy thing to extract/reinstall. But the GPS data was from the truck or BM's phone?

I don't know about Ford trucks specifically, but odometer fiddling is notoriously a problem (and illegal in some jurisdictions) and is discouraged by manufacturers -- suggests to me that a simple dash or other fuse disconnection would not manage it but perhaps someone here would know better. Posters on Ford enthusiast forums don't seen sure and the subject seems to be a taboo one:

I do think he planned it, but he was running out of time. His daughters would, be back soon. By Saturday, he was under the gun (so to speak) and had to come up with a plan. The text message where he asked her to go on a hike with him bugs me. I keep thinking he wanted to get her to go to her predetermined burial site. By getting her out of the house, he would eliminate an potential crime scene there. I wonder if he had his dart gun in his truck ready.
It makes me think of the Dirk Grineder trial. He got his wife to go on a hike through Morse Pond with him, and he bludgeoned her to death by having all his supplies prepared at the site. He really messed it up though and went to prison.

I 100% agree that he was planning her death before he left the job site that day, and the hike was his first attempt. He declined the hike and said he was coming home at 11am, so he must’ve decided on a new plan. I think the dart was part of the plan either way, and as you said, was already loaded and ready-whether it was in the truck or in the garage waiting. The dart gun was working the month before bf BM’s own admission, so in my mind he disabled it after using so it wouldn’t be suspected.

_______
Chaffee County Sheriff's Undersheriff said the door frame of the Master's Bedroom looked like there had been a forced entry from outside of the room. He also mentioned a 22 caliver unspent shell found on #SuzanneMorphew side of the bed.
________

I have a feeling the unspent bullet on the floor near Suzanne’s side of the bed came into play a different way.

I get the feeling BM shot her with the dart while she was outside sunbathing and a chase ensued. I think she made it to the MBR, locked herself in, and frantically tried to load a gun left on a bedside table? Maybe? Dropped a bullet in the process? BM broke in the door and overtook her there in the room.
______
I’ve run from an abuser and locked myself in a room and tried frantically to dial 911, only for the door to be broken in and the phone yanked from my hands. The door frame was broken in a similar fashion. It’s very possible given the fact that BM may not have noticed or realized Suzanne dropped a bullet while trying to load a gun to protect herself from him, as we was busy killing her and getting rid of evidence he knew about. Sloppy sloppy BM.

I need to read more about where guns were located when LE took custody of the home. Even if the 22 was in his possession, this theory could still hold up if he grabbed it from her but didn’t realize she dropped the bullet.

#BarryMorphew searched for #SuzanneMorphew for 3-5 months. Agent Grusing asked him when would it be ok to stop searching? Morphew responded, "Never." Morphew claimed he searched 200 miles with George Davis.

Points being made in court by defense include Barry’s search for Suzanne- he said he covered 200 sq miles. When investigators asked where she was he said “I think she left”. He said telling their daughters about Suzanne’s affair was hardest thing he had to do.

Checking in. Fingers crossed for Prosecution to whip Barry Morphew into a plea bargaining fool.
