BM talked (TD video) as if he had a person to person conversation with SM on Mother's Day, that since the girls will be home, it should be okay for him to be in Denver all day and night. Most likely he told the same story, that SM was alive and well, to LE when he returned back home that night. Yet no one could reach her, possibly for days.

I don't know if LE found SM's phone. Maybe LE was looking to recover SM's phone under the concrete.

But they do have BM's. His phone record may have revealed many days of texts received such as - 'Do you know where SM is? I can't reach her', ' Give her this message, she isn't calling me back'.
The girls were possibly out of phone range?
JMO How convenient. However, no one was suspicious til Sunday evening.
Did Suzanne maintain a fairly regular routine, gym, church, how did covid change this, or did it?

Yeah, so many questions, no answers yet.
I hope Suzanne herself left lots of clues so she can be found soon and her perpetrator be arrested even sooner.

So do you all think BM knows he's a POI? He did not sound like he thought he was on the utube video.

Following up on the idea that BM may have learned a lot from Frazee, ie how not to go about planning and executing intimate-partner murder if you want to get away with it.

Coincidentally the Chafee Fire Chief, Bertram, used to work for the Florissant/Teller County fire departments where Frazee lived and burned poor Kelsey’s body.

Bertram resigns as chief

Guess this means Frazee’s modus operandi was almost certainly a hot topic among the Chafee County Fire men and ladies.

Social media uploads from the time make that seem unlikely.
Would be interesting to know how often Suzanne did speak w/ her family members, and whether she preferred text or voice calls?
Often in these cases, you will hear the moms( usually) comment that they talk to their daughters( most often)at least once a day?
Personally, that always makes me feel a little guilty...but, it does sound like failure to cut the apron strings on at least one of them... referring to the common dynamic not the Ms, we have no evidence of this.

They searched his home, and that property he was working on. He’s making no public effort to help find his wife, and has seemingly hunkered down. If he doesn’t think he’s a suspect, he’d have to be the world’s biggest idiot.

He knows.

That is interesting, but we were shut down on sleuthing him, quickly...oops! It’s an odd day, and we are referring to BM, hmm the plot is sludge.

ITA - I can't help but recall frenzied other family members going on the news begging for people to look for their missing loved one - not a single one did a private video on FB....that I can recall..

Yeah, it would be far less concerning if he had spoken at the initial press conference, or if he had made himself available to the media beforehand.

It’s either apathy or guilt.

I posted earlier that in Chaffee County things were slowly going back to normal. This started on may 1st. What does “Safer at Home” look like for Salida?
Churches from what I saw on a Internet search, were still closed that weekend. So normal routine wasn't back up yet for everybody.

If BM left before his daughters he would have had to come back.(If in this scenario he did something.) If he left after them and did something. When did he leave town? Just his confirmation of actually being in Denver and a timeline would give us sleuths something better to work with. Same goes for the daughters and their timeline.

Same as the house search, mentioned above. If the spouse/partner is statistically usually guilty, and if BM's behavior/movements were "suspicious," then those were the places LE had to look. The way everything just seemed to stop after the dirt sifting, it tells me that neither search turned up anything.
I agree, I just don’t see the search stopping, until they find everything, one piece would lead to another. JMO

I was talking to a friend about how our State's curfew didn't apply to businesses, or their customers, or basically anyone who was't rioting, and she said "please don't tell my daughters - I like having them home." The girls in question are same age as the Morphews. It's a nice, normal family, but it illustrated that kids that age have their own lives and those lives don't always involve Mom and Dad.

But what if there wasn't even one piece - what if they literally found nothing?

I’m assuming they found absolutely nothing. They just had to be looking for her body, and it simply wasn’t there.

I have a very difficult time believing they got a warranty to cut into concrete foundation if they hadn’t already found something to justify it. That’s beyond a standard search into the spouse.

It would be invaluable if someone could say they saw a woman riding that bike on X day. Or they saw a man walking that bike. Or saw a woman riding that bike with someone else. Bikers notice bikes before they notice people. It’s impossible to imagine that a description of the bike wouldn’t be helpful in determining when she last rode, and under what circumstances.
Maybe there's just no bike in this story? LE has never confirmed. They only said "reportedly" SM was on a bike ride. The whole bike thing is something BM has been pushing.

I’m just trying to think of an explanation for what was apparently an almost immediate determination that BM was responsible for SM’s disappearance, combined with a failure, after a month filled with searches, to secure enough evidence for an arrest.

Could be anything. Here's a few examples that we've all seen before: husband is immediately caught in a lie; there's a girlfriend (or two); wife wants to leave the marriage; wife confides in others about emotional or physical abuse; husband confides in others regarding rage at wife; financial problems. It will be interesting to learn the details of the investigation. One day.
