When Suzanne was first reported missing, so many of the comments and social media posts mentioned how sad because she was so attractive. “She’s stunning! Hope she is found soon” or “So beautiful! Prayers for this pretty lady.”

There were so many comments that mentioned her looks that it made me wonder if this case would have received the same amount of interest if she had been plain-looking or unremarkable. Unattractive people who go missing have families and friends who love them just as much.
I don’t think that’s it, although I have obviously seen the same sentiment being expressed.

This circumstances are strange, and you have this low risk victim disappearing into thin air. Couple that with the accessible social media pages, and you have a victim that people are interested in.

Had she been a high risk victim, living in a high grime area, who had no social media, then the case wouldn’t be getting nearly as much attention. This is the exact type of case that’s always going to get a great deal of attention.

No matter what she looked like, I’m absolutely convinced people would be paying attention here.

<modsnip: Quoted post was removed; not MSM and not an approved source>

In this I think it is imperative they establish whether or not the bike ride ever happened.
If it never happened that needs to be established so people can feel safe biking again.

The other thing that comes to mind when BM makes his plea is the drug cartels or organized crime that depend on terror to operate. This is highly improbable, however I have seen cases unsolved and horrendous where LE is mum and cartels are indicated.

Organized crime and Cartel crime is a thing in America but it isn't often talked about. I see too much human trafficking so I don't ignore its actors.

I've read too many articles where cartels are in parks and national forests, cultivating. Dangerous to go into some of these areas.

Right. There are a few discussion pages on FB about this case. But that did seem to be a page created by family.

I went on the donation site and didn’t see any updates as people were alluding to. How many updates have there been, if anyone knows, and when was the last one?

I do think it’s a little odd that the family isn’t updating their FB page. Maybe someone needs to take charge of it.

I recall the FindAmanda FB page the family and friends of Amanda Eller set up. (The missing hiker found 17 days later in HI).

That was constantly updated. They had hundreds of volunteer searchers who wore trackers so that every path they took would show on the map and different terrain could be searched.

I thought that was amazing!!!! It was super cool. It helped know which areas still needed to be looked at. Many people still went over the same areas, which was fine, but it showed people new areas to search.

I’ll tell ya’ if it was my missing family member I would be organizing foot searches, drone searches, etc., non-stop. No matter what LE told me.

Canvas. Searching door to door. Putting up signs everywhere asking for info.

Is any of that effort on behalf of her loved ones occurring anywhere?
BM’s nephew set up the donation site and then the FB page (the nephew who urged the public to ask LE about the condition of the bike). I haven’t been on the donation site but supposedly the beneficiary has changed a few times. Maybe someone can elaborate. The FB page seems to have been abandoned after just 3 days, and the nephew has gone radio silent.

I posted earlier about the silence because it really bothers me. It’s hard to understand how not one person in her world will stand up and make some noise about her being missing. I would be doing the same as you—non-stop.

The purpose of the money fund has never been updated.

Updates have been limited to the administration of the fund:

Organizer: TN -- no team, no beneficiary

Update: add team member JF
Update: add SM beneficiary
Update: add team member BM
Update: remove beneficiary SM, replace with MM

ETA: SM above refers to BM's mother

ETA.2: After BM added as team member, there were no donations for 14-15 days. Seems a few dollars started trickling in again since addition of MM.

Gag order?

I didn't think this case was going anywhere but I guess sometimes silence helps. I don't know. I am learning how all this works.

Yes. One of the only reasons not to is you sort of know where it’s leading, IMO.

Ok. That makes sense. So there is lots of activity there. But nowhere else.

Not done listening to this but what occurs to me is that since it is said there are more bikes than cars on the road sometimes, that this is a form of terrorism for the towns people who bike so much.

In this I think it is imperative they establish whether or not the bike ride ever happened.

It’s not my top theory, but I’ll admit it’s been in the back of my mind that there could be much more to this story. It would explain some things like the dead silence.

What baffles my mind is of all the missing persons to sleuth, why am I sleuthing this one? There are many unwanted and foster kids who come up missing and no one pays attention to them. In part it is a media thing and we are led by the nose, but we do have choice once we can see what is going on. I keep on telling myself, once they find her I am going to move on to a case no one pays attention to. But after looking at some other cases, (I am new to this despite it saying well known member, how do I change that?) I see that it can take not just years, but sometimes decades to solve a case ??? Wow! Think about that. How many murderers are just walking around, getting away with it?

Yeah, this case/SM has sooo many people looking for her and the answers. So many others just get put in a file. It is really sad sometimes how the world turns. The more money you have...
Wholeheartedly agree. But I'm as guilty as the next person.
Thanks for speaking up for those who have no voice and no clout!!

Yes, this always gets to me every time a victim's looks are mentioned. What does that have to do with anyone going missing or being a victim? Isn't it enough that s/he is a human being needing help? Attention getting headlines, I guess. Same thing when adjectives such as "grandmother" are used: "Grandmother shoots would-be robber!" but the "grandmother" is a healthy, 42 year old gun-totin' criminal herself. Ugh. I'm over 60, but daaaaang if I could ever be described as a grandmother or attractive, lol! I have no kidlets, so no grandmother or attractive as adjectives for me, but (hopefully) the headlines wouldn't be "Fat, Old Lady Victim of xyz at Local Grocery Store". Whatever happened to just plain man or woman as the descriptor? I just read about a guy who tried to murder a girl with a shovel, bashing her head several times. He keeps being described as "Father of 4" - I can't count how many headlines use that to describe him. He's a freaking 🤬🤬🤬 who pleaded no contest to attempted murder. As if it's a novelty for a man with children to be a murderer...

I wonder if SM had grandchildren (possible given everyone's ages) would she be described as grandmother? I doubt it.

You may have misread K9Enzo post. Seems you are saying the same thing. I do agree with K9Enzo, it is detrimental to the family's intent at this point and should come down
I disagree. The official find page is typically the page where family provides official updates (not discussion) on the case including any details for coordinated public searches, etc.
Thank you @Murphy1950 -- I did misread @K9Enzo's post.

I apologize -- I do not disagree as we are in agreement.

It's not my top theory either, especially since Colorado is now a marijuana friendly state but when going into national parks or state forests it is good to be aware that sometimes cartels are there. And organized crime still operates where it can. It was just the plea BM made maybe he knows something others don't besides the common theory on these threads. I am just brainstorming.

There has to be a case filed for there to be a gag order. And nothing has been filed.
Thank you. I didn't know that. Maybe just a gag request?

Well I think people sort of misunderstand who is involved in that kind of thing.

Show me (not you, but anyone, really), five white, middle class women or children who it has been definitively established that a drug cartel or sex traffickers were responsible for disappearing in this nation.

I maintain that that’s not really a thing in this country with that demographic. It’s not an issue.

The reality of sex trafficking is adult prostitutes, drugs, homelessness, poverty, mental health disorders, child abuse and other intensive, family dysfunction, LGBTQ youth and predominately ethnic minorities.

Traffickers aren’t trolling for mountain biking soccer moms on Mother’s Day.

Drug cartel stuff that involves murder is usually people involved in the “business” in some manner, and very few come from the Morphew family demographic.

Revenge or power-assertion kidnappings involving innocent victims occur almost totally south of the border.

Statistically speaking, neither look like a reasonable possibility to me. It’s more likely someone she knows. A remote second place for me would be stranger abduction.

Are you perhaps thinking about a sealed search warrant? I don't understand a gag request for no case?..
