I agree with you @OldCop. I'm not expecting anything to come from the RV Park...more like "We've traced the call and it's coming from inside the house!" mooYou read my thoughts here, @Tate123. There is often a very derogatory impression of trailer parks and the people who live in them. Have crimes, drugs, and other problems been associated with some trailer parks? Yes, but a great deal depends on the management of the park and how willing they are to have strict rules and to enforce them. There is also usually a difference between trailer parks and RV parks. Trailer parks are usually for more permanent or long term residents who don’t move their trailers or they rent the trailers from the park management. RV parks are usually set up for people who are traveling or for longer term seasonal guests although there are some that have permanent spots set aside. From some of the comments here, some people think that either type of park is full of rapists, murderers, and other ne’er do wells. I can say I have been in some scary, ill run parks, but have also been in beautiful resort-like ones. I don’t know anything about the one in Salida, but we should not make assumptions about it’s inhabitants until we know more.
Ita.It is most infuriating, MOO really the heart of this case. A woman goes missing and no one seems to know when she was last seen.
bbmLE conducted three consecutive days of searches near the Morphew home. They also closed the highway and conducted searches of various places (10+).
Unless we believe that LE is completely incompetent, of course they talked to the neighbors (whether in campgrounds/RV parks or whatever). They've also asked for people to give tips and hundreds have done so. Then they focused their canvassing on Salida, not on the campground area.
It was interesting to hear Lauren describe the signs indicating that there are cameras nearby the placement of Suzanne’s bike. If this is true, and if Barry placed Suzanne’s bike there; it would be surprising that Barry wouldn’t have heeded the security cameras. Surely, living nearby he would’ve noticed the cameras. How can this be explained?
Possibly. That hasn't really happened in this case, though, as cited in the original post. Indeed, the lack of disclosure in this case possibly may impair Barry Morphew's rights: if nothing of interest was indeed found during the searches, a great cloud of suspicion might be lifted.
Your question is excellent, though: Where does the balance lie between protecting an accused's right to a fair trial versus the rights of citizens to oversee the actions of the police and judiciary? Colorado -- as is its right -- has answered it one way, but it's not the answer I'd give.
The guy who repaired her bike, had to correct this, he looked at her bike and needed to schedule a repair later.
Patrick Frazee literally had a camera in his face, and he didn’t care.
Chris Watts apparently had no idea that his neighbor’s camera captured his driveway.
In this situation, I think BM knew that the spot he dumped the bike, was out of camera range. But he still had to travel to that spot, which may have put him in range of a camera.
That, or his vehicle was spotted when he should have been somewhere else, and it destroyed his alibi.
It could of course be none of these things, but I do think whatever it is that pointed his way, was equally compelling.
“The definition of logic is a science that studies the principles of correct reasoning. An example of logic is the process of coming to the conclusion of who stole a cookie based on who was in the room at the time.”be careful .... logical thinking does not fit the 'i know barry did it' narrative....
The guy who repaired her bike, had to correct this, he looked at her bike and needed to schedule a repair later.
Brilliant!I feel like he really wanted control on the narrative and he did not have that with LE. This was his chance to do so. Jmo (Why suspect TD when he knows why Suzanne is missing)
Link to him having to repair the bike later, please? The guy who repaired her bike, had to correct this, he looked at her bike and needed to schedule a repair later.
I don’t recall that either! I would love a link because if that bike was truly needing repair, surely she wouldn’t have ridden it that day?Link to him having to repair the bike later, please?
I'm repeating what I saw on here. He looked at the bike and said he would fix it the following week. Can someone tell me who said this on here? I also believed she could still ride it but it needed some repairLink to him having to repair the bike later, please?
BBMGreat post. I also think that Suzanne's family would not be silent if they didn't know she was gone. Whatever evidence LE had, early on, was communicated in some fashion to them and they were asked to keep it private, which of course would be their natural impulse while they grieved, anyway. TN's wife's brief, heartfelt statement also shows that the family knows.
I too think there will be an arrest in this case. There are many reasons why it may be delayed. So far, the suspect isn't going anywhere. More tips and evidence keep turning up. The instant they arrest him, the County has to start reassigning public defenders to the case and all of the evidence is turned over to the defense as well. It's best for the prosecutor's office to have the case mapped out and to decide what is and isn't going to be in evidence (etc).
In many jurisdictions, part of the cost of a private attorney is footed by the County (whatever the judge thinks would have been spent in the defense of the accused - in some cases, attorneys in private practice will work for that amount, in others the client needs to pony up...)
Scroll up to post #613 for clarification....I'm repeating what I saw on here. He looked at the bike and said he would fix it the following week. Can someone tell me who said this on here? I also believed she could still ride it but it needed some repair
MOO as everyone gets used to modern digital and DNA evidence, like fingerprints earlier at the turn of the 20tlth century, criminals who premeditate are changing tactics, and try to mitigate tracking.BM might have assumed that all was okay as long as he wasn’t captured on footage tossing the bike or in the area when he was supposedly in Denver. He may not have fully understood digital footprints and just how much can be proven through technology. Maybe he thought that if cell service in the area was bad, tracking a person’s movements would be difficult.
I think someone on here speculated that he “ might have needed to order a part, thus needing another appointment “. LS said nothing like that.
At 17:00 she says she has learned that the bike repair guy SAW SM and worked on her bike on Thursday May 7.
LS also says she would like to schedule an interview and speak MORE with him. IMO her saying speak more indicates she heard it straight from him and probably via phone call. JMO
