Would it be surprising if we find out Barry hired a hitman to kill her while he was in Denver similar to the Mark Sievers murder trial?

Yes.

Given the information we learned tonight re: SM's communication with her best friend stopping abruptly on Saturday evening, I don't think there's any way she was killed by a hitman on Sunday.

She was already long gone by then.

Why then go to the trouble of staging the bike?
But it's anyone's guess what he or they were thinking. Could be a 'friend' or a worker, with BM as the mastermind.
I refrain from the three letter acronym.

I partially gave my thoughts on this in answer to @sillybilly ’s post above. I don’t know that BM has legitimate concerns about how the evidence was handled. We have been given no information about how the bike was found and by whom. We don’t know if it was fingerprinted and photographed before it was moved. I find it very hard to believe that 10 people would have handled it though.

As you say @OldCop, we don't know about the L.E. photographing the bike or the fingerprinting but it is standard procedure.

In cases I've seen, the police take photos from different angles of the object (in this case a bike), photos of the ground around the bike, then fingerprinting, then searching for evidence in the area, etc.

I may not have the order of the procedure correct but I think it's pretty close to standard procedure.

I believe something happened to SM on Saturday evening and it was not planned to require a hired hitman.

I don't think BM had any plans to trek to Denver on Sunday or work on Sunday until his actions on Saturday evening forced him into it.
This is exactly what I think happened. I think she was deceased or severely incapacitated shortly after the conversation with her friend ended. MOO

I wonder if BM often got annoyed or angry when Suzanne had long conversations with her friends.
I was kind of thinking the same thing. I had this picture in my mind of him coming up behind her as she sat in one of those big living room chairs texting with her friend. And then he .........

Maybe when the neighbor went to check and saw the cars, she reported to Barry that that it looked like she was home since there were cars in the driveway. He then suggested she check the garage for her bike, and when that was missing the story of her going on the bike ride began. The cars may have belonged to his workers and they all went in one car, but the neighbor may not have known that.
BM said that the workers were expected up in Denver on Monday, if I'm not mistaken. That's why he was going up ahead of time to set everything up?

I'm just glad that BM may feel some heat. Suzanne deserves justice, and I believe it's coming sooner rather than later.
From your fingertips to God’s eyes!

What scent would have been left in the car?

Cadaver dogs pick up the scentdead bodies. I know the longer a body is in a car the stronger the scent.

After watching the PE video and reading the discussion here, WOW. (Or to quote the lovely @Warwick7 , BAM!)

I'm having a hard time figuring out how Barry could spin any of that to reflect positively on him. <modsnip: Removed reference to social media comments>

Well, that's what he said he told Suzanne. One of the cars may have belonged to her. I was trying to answer the question about why PE said this was how the bike story was born. I think when the neighbor called back and reported there were cars in the driveway, BM suggested she went for a bike ride and asked her to check for it in the garage.

Apologies in advance for this analogy as some may find it distasteful. Two thoughts on this, how easy is it to clean out a wood chipper (power washer?) Can a creek be used as a source of water? N. Korea’s former evil leader, Kim Jung evil used these for the exact same purpose.
It is very possible but the thought is so sickening that I don’t think/ hope that BM would not stoop that low.

The cars in the driveway that don't belong to BM? I am at a loss. Does it mean someone else involved? They seemed to know more about that than they were willing to say. Moo
I assumed it was SM’s car and one of the daughters since they were gone.

Yes, her friend stated that after the communication suddenly ceased, she tried numerous times to communicate but it was not reciprocated. She likely tried to reach her throughout the day on Sunday and by then was very worried.

I agree with you. I just hope the cars, if not belonging to the M’s were checked out. I thought it was odd that the PE guys didn’t say anything more on that.

ETA - I believe it was said the cars didn’t belong to Barry. Thank you @TheRaven, they could belong to other family members

Yes, the girls may have travelled in a friends car. If Suzanne's car was in the driveway that would explain why the neighbor thought she was home. I doubt it was she who suggested SM was on a bike ride.

I think many of us agree on who started that narrative.

My heart is breaking for Suzanne’s daughters. Especially tonight with what we learned from the PE video. She was told at such a young age that she wouldn’t be able to have children. I’ll take a positive from that believing her daughters knew what precious gifts they were to her.

It has amazed me that there has not been a single person willing to come forward with a statement that they helped BM with his massive 200 mile radius search. You'd think a lot of people would have been involved. Surely someone would have been willing to confirm that it actually happened. After all, it might be helpful PR for BM. Lord knows he could use some.

I'm thinking that IF a search occurred, it must have been a small one, with BM deciding where to search and where not to search.

Maybe Suzanne is nearby, and BM doesn't want her found unless and until a COD will be undetermined.
Moo
BBM. And what to say and not to say about any such search. Hmmm. Maybe there never was a search. Someone in his circle knows if this a search ever took place. Mom maybe?

Hope we can drop the focus on the bike ride that never was, now and concentrate on the Saturday night instead.

It must have been agonizing for SM's family to finally speak out. Their concern and respect for SM's daughters was their main priority. It came time for their focus to be directed on who they suspect is involved in her disappearance.

I imagine that their relationships with SM's daughters has been fractured beyond repair. This is the tragedy that they faced going public with their concerns. They did what they needed to do for Suzanne. I hope SM's daughters will understand that one day. jmo

I summarized the first 45 minutes of PE live tonight and at the time, the cars in the driveway translating to the birth of the bike ride were unclear then, and still confusing the second time listened.

The host confirms that according to the family member, the two vehicles in the driveway were not BM's (or Morphew household). Surely the neighbor knows which vehicles belong, right?

I'm wondering if visiting vehicles was meant to be the birth of SM biking with visitors. I really don't know. I just think the host wanted to convey that the according to the family member, the vehicles present in the driveway did not belong to the Morphew's. MOO
